The sky was shaking.
Not from thunder…
but from thousands of screams blending into one endless nightmare.
Buildings burned.
Cars crashed with exploding fuel.
Shadows moved like broken bones in the streets.
And a young boy — weak, trembling, confused — ran through the smoke with tears stinging his eyes.
"N-Nobita!! This way!!!"
Doraemon's voice cracked with fear as he dragged Nobita by the arm, stumbling over fallen debris.
This was a world Nobita had never imagined — a world where every corner flickered with chaos like a living fire.
Behind them, a screeching roar echoed.
Something was chasing them.
Something not human.
---
The Apocalypse
A missile had exploded above the city.
A black chemical fog rained down like ink.
Within minutes, people twisted into monsters, their bodies buckling under the virus.
The city became a graveyard before their eyes.
Nobita looked around desperately.
"Doraemon… where is Shizuka? Where are Gian and Suneo?!"
"I-I don't know!!" Doraemon cried, voice shaking. "We have to get you to safety! I have to— I must protect you—!"
His robotic hands trembled.
Even Doraemon — the unbreakable futuristic guardian — was terrified.
They turned a corner
Two figures stood there, fighting off a wave of infected.
Leon S. Kennedy, reloading with expert speed.
Helena Harper, firing into the mass of undead as they advanced.
"Kid, Run!!!!" Leon yelled, shocked to see a child here.
"Don't stand there— RUN!"
Helena shot three zombies in the head before another wave lurched forward.
Doraemon pushed Nobita behind him.
"We'll help!" Doraemon said shakily.
But he didn't get the chance.
A screech rose behind them.
A Tyrant-class mutated monster named ustanak smashed through a wall, dust exploding everywhere.
Leon grabbed Helena's arm. "We can't handle both sides!"
Nobita stumbled back, eyes wide.
His weak legs trembled so hard he couldn't even stand properly.
The monster lunged—
---
The Sacrifice
Doraemon threw Nobita aside and jumped in front of the claw.
SLASH.
The blow tore Doraemon's torso open, sparks and wires spraying the air.
"D-Doraemon…!!"
Nobita screamed, reaching out with shaking fingers.
His protector—
his best friend—
the one who always saved him from every mistake—
was falling apart.
Leon tried to cover them, firing nonstop, but ustanak charged again.
"Helena, get the kid out—"
"Leon— WAIT—!"
Too late.
The Ustanak second strike impaled Leon through the chest.
"LEON!!" Helena screamed, emptying her gun into the monster's head.
Leon collapsed, coughing blood.
Helena backed up with him in her arms—
but a second infected wave rushed from behind.
She was dragged down.
Leon reached a bloodied hand toward Nobita.
"Run… kid…"
And then they both disappeared under a mass of undead.
---
Doraemon's Last Moments
Nobita crawled to Doraemon, sobbing hard.
"D-Doraemon… p-please get up… please… we… we can run…"
Doraemon's LED eyes flickered weakly.
"N-Nobita…"
his voice warbled, glitching.
"I'm sorry… I can't… protect you anymore…"
"N-No! Y-You promised! You always come back!"
Doraemon slowly lifted his cracked arm, putting his paw gently on Nobita's head.
"You were… always stronger than you thought… Nobita…"
His eyes dimmed.
His body collapsed.
Doraemon… died.
Nobita screamed so loudly it echoed across the burning city.
He grabbed Doraemon's broken hand, shaking violently.
"I don't want this!! I—I can't do anything!! Someone help me!! I'm… I'm scared… I'm so scared…"
Ustanak turned toward him.
Its shadow swallowed him.
Its claw came down—
---
NOBITA'S DEATH
Everything went silent.
The pain was sharp… then cold…
then nothing.
Nobita's vision blurred as he fell across Doraemon's lifeless body.
His last thought:
"…I wish… I don't want to be weak…in...another life..."
The darkness swallowed him.
---
— VOID —
Infinite black.
No sound.
No body.
Only Nobita's consciousness floating alone.
Then—
A metallic voice echoed:
> [DEATH CONFIRMED]
[HOST: NOBITA NOBI – TERMINATED]
Nobita flinched.
"Wh… who's there?"
> [Scanning soul…]
[Potential detected: 0.4%]
[Fear: High]
[Resolve: Growing]
[Weak human. Strong will.]
Nobita trembled.
"Am… am I dead?"
> [Affirmative]
"…Then why am I still here?"
> [Because your story is not over.]
Light exploded around him.
---
— REINCARNATION SYSTEM BOOTING —
> [Initializing… SURVIVAL SYSTEM.]
[Searching for stable timeline.]
[Found: Pre-Apocalypse World]
[Reincarnating Host…]
Nobita shouted:
"STOP!! Take me back!! My friends— Leon— Helena— Doraemon— they all— THEY DIED!!"
> [Rewriting fate…]
[One-time global correction applied.]
Nobita's eyes widened.
The voice continued:
> [All subjects restored to life.]
[Timeline reset to normal Japan.]
[Zombies erased.]
[Missile event removed.]
Nobita gasped.
"Doraemon… is alive?"
> [Affirmative.
Everything is normal again.]
"But… why? Why me?"
The answer shook him:
> [Because only YOU will remember the apocalypse.]
[Only YOU carry the system.]
[And the apocalypse will return.]
[…in 365 days.]
Nobita's breath froze.
A countdown appeared:
> [365 DAYS UNTIL OUTBREAK]
Then—
Light swallowed him whole.
---
— NEW LIFE —
Nobita sat up in his bed, gasping for air.
Sunlight streamed through his window.
Birds chirped outside.
His room was clean.
Safe.
Normal.
Doraemon slid the door open.
"Nobita? You're awake already? You look pale."
Nobita's eyes filled with tears.
He threw himself into Doraemon's arms, sobbing into his round stomach.
Doraemon blinked.
"N-Nobita…? What happened?"
Nobita whispered:
"I saw… everyone die…"
Doraemon froze.
Leon and Helena…
the monsters…
the gas…
his own death…
All still burned in his memory.
Then—
a notification blinked in front of him.
Only visible to him.
> [SURVIVAL SYSTEM ACTIVATED]
Welcome back, Nobita Nobi.
You have one year before the world ends.]
Nobita clenched his small fists.
No more crying.
No more being weak.
No more depending on others.
This time—
he will be ready.
Even if no one believes him.
Even if he has to fight alone.
The apocalypse is coming.
And Nobita is the only one who knows.
