Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: Overflowing with European Luck

While waiting for Sophia to produce items, Cinder wasn't idle.

He began to deal with the affairs that had accumulated over the past two days.

The most important and urgent matter was the message transmitted by the Engineer Kevin.

"In 30 days, a giant dragon will attack, accompanied by Ruin Guards and Hilichurls."

Giant dragon.

The only one in Mondstadt connected to the Abyss Order that fits the description of a giant dragon is Dvalin, formerly one of the Four Winds, now also known as Stormterror.

Ruin Guard was the name for the Ruin Guards in Khaenri'ah.

At the same time, he also triggered a new campaign.

Campaign triggered! Countdown: 29 days!

Campaign Name: War of Rise

Campaign Difficulty: Extremely Hard (Mission levels are divided into Easy, Normal, Difficult, Extremely Hard, and Desperate.)

Victory Condition: Repel or kill all invader fighters.

Defeat Condition: All buildings are destroyed.

Time: Unlimited.

Reward: 10,000 Blueprint Energy, 30,000 funds, Vehicle Specified Wooden Crate Lv.3 x 10.

The difficulty of this campaign was a notch higher than the previous one, and the rewards also increased by a notch.

Burning the note, Cinder pondered carefully.

Dvalin, as one of the Four Winds, once an existence on par with a God, even if his strength is greatly diminished due to corrosion, is not something his small base can resist.

What's more, there are also a large number of Hilichurls and Ruin Guards cooperating.

"The worst-case scenario is that, besides Dvalin, an Abyss Herald or Abyss Lector-level existence will also be deployed."

Cinder looked at all the resources he currently possessed.

Blueprint Energy: 9800

Funds: 32031

Unopened Wooden Crates: Module Random Wooden Crate Lv.2 x 10

Before the campaign, Cinder had 1800 Blueprint Energy left.

He spent 500 to exchange for the sentry turret blueprint.

After the campaign victory, the mission rewarded him with 7000 Blueprint Energy.

Adding that up, he had 8300. Then, during the days he was down, Sophia took over his work and helped him pick up crates every day.

His luck was good; he picked up twenty-five crates and got 1500 Blueprint Energy from them.

In terms of funds, the mission rewarded 20,000 funds. Three ore refinerys could bring him about 1000 funds daily, and this amount of funds increased every day, depending on the ore dug by the mining rods. The deeper they dug, the more funds they earned daily.

Then, upon completing the campaign mission, Cinder also received a mysterious blueprint.

This was a brand new building that Red Alert had never seen before—the Tier Enhancement House.

Building: Tier Enhancement House

Blueprint Unlock Price: 2000

Construction Price: 2000

Power Consumption: 10

Armor: Wooden Armor

Durability: 400

Description: The building requires an Engineer to be stationed. When Soldiers and vehicles reach the upgrade standard by killing enemies, they can go to the Enhancement House to advance their tier, up to Tier 3. Go, go, level up by fighting monsters~

This Enhancement House, to put it plainly, stripped out the tier mechanism from Red Alert, allowing Soldiers to upgrade into elite combat forces.

Two pieces of good news and one piece of bad news.

The good news is that both the Tier Enhancement House and the previous embarrassing tank have already been unlocked, requiring no additional Blueprint Energy. Additionally, the Soldiers' upgrades don't require extra funds or other resources; as long as the experience points are met, the Enhancement House can facilitate the enhancement.

The bad news is that the Enhancement House requires an Engineer, which means Cinder needs to spend an additional 500 Blueprint Energy and 500 funds to build an Engineer. Cinder really couldn't imagine what use an Engineer would have in this world of allogene.

Could it be to move the Jade Chamber over and turn it into one of his own building units? To get it for free?

That's clearly unrealistic.

"I'll explore the Engineer's use later. For now, this Tier Enhancement House is worth the 500 Blueprint Energy!"

Finally, Cinder's gaze fell on the ten Level Two Module Random Wooden Crates he received as a mission reward.

This was the main event of the day!

Cinder had carefully read the description of this crate.

Simply put, the crates he picked up daily were all Lv.1 and random.

He could find all sorts of strange things, including blueprints, Soldiers, vehicles, and so on.

Of course, Lv.1 crates wouldn't yield high-tech units like the apocalypse tank or Kirov Airship, no matter what.

The best vehicle he could get was a Grizzly Tank.

But these Module Random Crates were different.

Before opening the crate, Cinder could specify one of the following: Defense Module, Soldier Module, or Vehicle Module.

The opened crate would then randomly draw a unit from the chosen module for Cinder.

It's worth mentioning that Lv.2 crates also included content covered by Lv.1 crates.

But even so, these Lv.2 crates still made Cinder look forward to them.

"I wonder what I'll get."

Cinder excitedly chose to open the crates.

The module selection appeared first.

Without hesitation, Cinder directly chose the Vehicle Module.

Infantry couldn't influence the current battle situation, and there were only two high-level defensive buildings that could be opened: the Tesla Coil or the Prism Tower. Others were likely to be sentry turrets, Bunkers, etc., which would be too uneconomical if opened.

After much thought, vehicles were still the most reliable choice.

Opening the first crate.

[Congratulations! You have obtained invader fighter x 1]

Cinder: ?

Starting with a life reduction?

"It directly gave me an Allied Forces fighter jet?"

Cinder rubbed his eyes, confirming he hadn't seen wrong.

This was a great treasure!

One must know that the Soviet Army base could not build an Air Command, thus could not produce fighter jets.

The Soviet Army's flying units were limited to armed helicopters and Kirov Airships.

"A good start, a good start. Quickly open the second one."

Striking while the iron was hot, Cinder opened the second crate.

[Congratulations! You have obtained invader fighter x 1]

Cinder: ??

Another one???

"Is the system glitching today?"

Cinder couldn't believe it; he opened another one.

[Congratulations! You have obtained nighthawk helicopter x 1]

Cinder: ???

"It shouldn't give such good things again, right?"

Opening the fourth crate.

[Congratulations! You have obtained nighthawk helicopter x 1]

Cinder: ????

"Oh no, today I've stumbled into the Allied Forces' nest! I've opened two fighter jets and two helicopters!"

The nighthawk helicopter is a large transport helicopter, renowned as an aerial carriage. It can quickly transport infantry units and evade radar detection, making it one of the very useful aerial units.

As for its firepower, it can only be said to be capable of self-defense.

"The fifth crate, it shouldn't be possible, right?"

Opening the fifth crate.

[Congratulations! You have obtained Chrono Miner x 1]

A Chrono Miner, not a loss!

At least it increased the mining speed.

Cinder didn't pause, opening five crates consecutively.

Everyone's luck comes in waves.

He had opened five crates, all containing expensive units. If he slowed down, who knew what he would get later.

One must know that these Lv.2 crates could also yield items from Lv.1 crates.

[Congratulations! You have obtained mirage tank x 1]

[Congratulations! You have obtained mirage tank x 1]

[Congratulations! You have obtained mirage tank x 1]

[Congratulations! You have obtained mirage tank x 1]

[Congratulations! You have obtained mirage tank x 1]

The command room was silent.

Cinder picked up Sophia's mirror and looked at himself, specifically checking if his glabella had darkened.

His luck today was simply too good!

So good that it felt unreal!

It's like when you're pulling from a double-up weapon banner, and with one ten-pull, you get five golds, all of which are the weapons you wanted.

This probability is roughly equivalent to winning the lottery, playing the game with hundreds of millions of luck.

"But, mine seems no different from winning the lottery. Each of these tanks, if placed in reality, would cost at least nearly a hundred million. These are high-tech tanks that can truly become invisible and transform."
