Chapter 2 - Blood That Must Not Awaken

"We need to talk." said his father calmly.

Long ago, there was a man feared by many and defeated by none.

In an era where clans rose and fell overnight, his name alone was enough to stop a fight before it began. No one knew where he came from, and no one ever lived long enough to understand how he fought.

Even now, years later, his presence still lingered in whispers and old scars.

Stories of him were told in quiet rooms, passed down as warnings rather than legends.

His name echoed through time.

Muk Hyun.

The first assassin.

The man who turned murder into an art.

And the strongest to ever walk the path of shadows.

Some say he vanished.

Others believe he was betrayed.

But those who truly knew better understood one thing

A man like Muk Hyun never truly disappears.

Muk Hyun did not die by the blade, nor was he dragged down by betrayal as many believed.

In the end, the man feared by all simply grew old.

Time something no assassin could ever outrun finally claimed him.

His death should have brought peace to the shadows, but instead it planted a deeper terror.

Because Muk Hyun left something behind.

His blood.

One by one, his descendants rose within the assassin world. Some sought power. Others sought survival. A few never wished to walk the path at all—but blood does not ask for permission. With each generation, fear spread farther. The clans whispered among themselves, haunted by the same thought:

What if another Muk Hyun is born?

That fear united enemies who had slaughtered each other for centuries.

For the first time, the assassin world stood together and formed a single organization. named the silent verdict

Its purpose was simple.

Erase Muk Hyun's bloodline.

They hunted his descendants relentlessly, tracking them across regions and clans. Some were killed before they ever held a blade. Others fell after putting up desperate resistance. Records were burned. Names were erased. The bloodline grew thinner with each passing year.

Until only one name remained.

Han Tae Seong.

Unlike the others, he did not seek power or glory. He hid. He obeyed. He lived quietly, knowing full well that silence was the only reason he still breathed.

But silence has a limit.

As the organization closed in, Han Tae Seong understood a truth that Muk Hyun himself once learned

You can run from the shadows,

but you can never escape them.

And when the past finally came knocking at his door,

he realized it was no longer his own life at stake.

But now the The Silent Verdict. came back and the attacks were happening on you my son.
