Chapter 35 - Chapter 35 Hold Your Brother Tight

With each knock on the door, the waitress's fear deepened, for she was getting closer and closer to the woman.

"Hello..."

"Room service..." The waitress's breathing trembled violently. She knocked on the door, her head bowed, not daring to look to the side.

The woman was only one step away from her.

The room was silent and there was no response, so she had no choice but to move on to the next room.

Under the woman's gaze, she slowly walked to her side and, trembling with fear, knocked on the door. "Hello... room service..."

"Excuse me... was it you who called to order the towels just now?"

After a two-second silence in the corridor, a woman's cold voice drifted from behind, "It's... the red towel I wanted."

After a brief silence, the next second, all the players heard the waiter's shrill scream from outside the door. The scream abruptly stopped, turning into a whimpering sound as if his throat was being torn apart, which sounded extremely horrifying.

"Uh... Help, help..."

"Help...me..."

The waitress's voice came from outside the door. She shouted in a hoarse voice while banging on the player's door.

"Open the door...please save me..."

"Please...open the door..."

Rule 3: Never open the door if you hear strange noises in the hallway at night.

At this moment, the players dared not even get out of bed, let alone open the door. They huddled in their blankets, staring at the doorway in fear, afraid that the door was too flimsy and might be accidentally broken, letting the monsters outside in.

Cries for help and sounds of banging echoed through each player's room.

In the still of the night, such eerie sounds echoed throughout the corridor. The players were separated from the unseen scene outside by only one door. Everyone was terrified and could only pray that it would all end soon.

A series of knocking sounds echoed slowly in the depths of the corridor. Just as the painful, whimpering knocking began, a creaking sound of a door opening suddenly came from the night.

The sound startled the other players in the corridor.

The rules clearly state not to open the door, yet someone still dares to do this?!

The blood-covered waiter stared blankly at the little girl who came to open the door, unsure whether to continue speaking.

To be precise, it was a little girl whose head had become ugly and twisted, and whose body was so grotesque that she was almost unrecognizable as human. Her eyes were filled with evil light as she glared fiercely at the waiter, and she was making hoarse growls in her throat, clearly in an aggressive state.

The waiter swallowed hard, slowly took a step back, and prepared to leave.

As soon as she stepped back, the little girl, who had already turned into a monster, pounced on her, pinned her to the ground, and began to tear and bite at her violently.

The screams rang out again, even more piercing than the first time.

It's common knowledge among all players that the little girl transforms into a monster at night, and that she's extremely ferocious. This waiter has really messed up his chance to extort money.

The gnawing sound echoed in the night for a while, and then Yin Xiu's figure slowly appeared at the doorway.

He yawned, leaning wearily against the door, watching the figure idly gnawing at something in the hallway.

It was tiny, dressed in bright red, its body twisted and covered in black fur, just like the townspeople exposed to the sun during the day. It was similar to what the mayor had said: the curse on the townspeople and the little girl originated from the same source, which was that woman.

"Are you full?" Yin Xiu asked in a lazy tone. "Come back to sleep after you've eaten."

The little girl's twisted head suddenly turned around, staring straight at Yin Xiu with bloodshot eyes and half a hand still dangling from her mouth.

After pausing for a few seconds, she tilted her head back and swallowed her hand, then turned back to continue nibbling at the waiter.

Yin Xiu squinted and leaned against the door, dozing off. The little girl was dismembered in the corridor. The scene was bizarre no matter how you looked at it. No matter how many days you watched it, the players in front of the screen still felt a little uncomfortable.

"Yin Xiu's tolerance for the supernatural is really strong... He really just watched her eat without changing his expression."

"It can only be said that Yin Xiu has a really good mental fortitude. This little girl would really not be able to handle anyone else."

"He's skilled at raising monsters, and the little girl only obeys him. If it were anyone else, she would be lying in the corridor by now."

"Yin Xiu's style in the dungeon is completely different from that of ordinary people."

The players outside the screen sighed, while Yin Xiu yawned again, looking sleepy.

He couldn't sleep well outside the instance, nor could he sleep well inside it. For the first three nights, strange things bothered him every night. Tonight, they finally didn't come, but then a waiter knocked on the door. He was almost used to being woken up by all sorts of things at night.

After a frantic munching, the little girl let out a satisfied burp, turned around, and crawled back to Yin Xiu's feet. Her long, twisted, black-haired hands, covered in claws, clung to Yin Xiu's trouser leg, and she babbled out a few words from her sharp teeth, "Toilet...pee!"

"..." Yin Xiu seemed to be thinking to himself. She really does treat him like her mother, doesn't she?

He looked up and gazed down the corridor.

Rule 4: The toilet is located at the top of the stairs. If possible, try to go with someone. You can go alone, but please do not pay attention to any noise.

When he came out, there was a white mist in the corridor, which obstructed his view. Now, looking down the corridor, he could only see a hazy mist and couldn't see anything. He really had no idea what he would encounter on his way to the toilet.

"Brother...the toilet!" The little girl tugged at Yin Xiu's trouser leg again, her voice a little anxious. After her body turned into a monster, her small body was curled up in a ball, with thin limbs and black fur all over her body, looking just like some kind of small animal. She could not even speak clearly.

"Okay, I'll take you to the restroom."

The audience watched as Yin Xiu calmly bent down, picked up the dark and eerie monster from the ground, turned around, stepped into the white mist, and walked towards the stairwell.

"Holy crap, he actually dared to go!"

"No way, he actually dared to hug her!! He actually hugged the little girl who had turned into a monster without even changing his expression!"

"Hiss... I just came out of the dungeon. I just watched his live stream today. Has he always been this good?"

"Yes, I've always been brave."

"Carrying a monster through a corridor like this in the middle of the night, just looking at it gives me goosebumps!"

"Brothers, I'm a little scared, I don't dare to watch anymore."

"Don't be afraid, hold on tight to the brother next to you and watch together!"

"My roommate was sleeping! I secretly watched it all by myself! I feel so scared now!"

"Don't be a coward! Go check inside his bed! If you're scared, hug your roommate!"

"That makes sense, I'll go."

"Holy crap, he actually dared to go..."

Amidst the clamor of the comments, Yin Xiu, holding the little girl in his left arm and pressing down on the hilt of his sword with his right, stepped into the corridor filled with white mist.

His footsteps echoed through the quiet corridor as he walked step by step through the various rooms.

The doors on the second floor had no numbers, and every door you passed by looked exactly the same. Opposite each door hung a portrait, but the portraits were blurry and difficult to discern in the fog.

Yin Xiu estimated the distance of the corridor; he should be almost there, but there was still no sign of the stairwell.

He stopped and looked back.

One side of the corridor was lined with doors, and the other side with paintings, all rowed out in identical rows, so similar they were hardly landmarks, and the fog made it impossible to see the end. Looking back ahead, the same scene unfolded; he stood in the middle, and it seemed that whether he moved forward or backward, it made little difference.

Yin Xiu looked down at the little girl in his arms. She was fast asleep, nestled against his chest. After eating and drinking her fill, she was smacking her lips, quiet and showing no unusual reaction.

He walked a little further, and judging by the time, he had been walking for more than a minute.

If you haven't even reached the end of the corridor after walking for a minute, something must have happened.

As he walked, a blurry outline of something finally appeared in Yin Xiu's misty vision, but the moment he saw what it was, he stopped and did not go any further.

What appeared in the white mist was not a shadow at the stairwell, but a person.
