Chapter 189 - Chapter 189 Don't Provoke Me

The boy's appearance slightly disrupted Yin Xiu's plans. If he were merely passively killing hunters on the island every night, he would likely become Yin Xiu's competitor.

There's only one prop; it either belongs to him or to Yin Xiu. If it's a competitor, Yin Xiu won't tolerate it.

The hunters around were extremely wary of the boy. They were unsure if he was Yin Xiu, and he happened to be at the entrance to the cruise ship. The hunters were now in a dilemma, but it would be fully light soon and they had to go back.

"You! Who are you?!" The hunters shouted at the boy from afar, each holding a weapon as if facing a formidable enemy. Their murderous intent made the boy very happy.

"You're coming to kill me? Great, come on over!" he shouted, waving to the hunters with a welcoming gesture that intimidated them.

They muttered to themselves, "This really is Yin Xiu, isn't it? He's not afraid of us at all."

"Yes, and I didn't even know how he killed that hunter before. He's definitely not a player that should be in this instance."

"What should I do... how did I end up running into Yin Xiu in a place like this..."

The situation remained deadlocked. The hunter didn't want to face him, yet he couldn't get past him to leave. Both stood there staring at each other until, from beneath the mask, the voice of the so-called god rang out.

"Please return to the cruise ship before dawn, or you will lose your hunter status."

The cold voice sent shivers down the spines of the surrounding hunters. They exchanged glances and decided to forcefully pass the unknown boy and return to the cruise ship.

One of the hunters nervously walked past the boy with his weapon in hand. As soon as he moved, the boy immediately stepped forward with a smile. "Your weapon is really nice. Can you use it to kill me?"

His sudden approach startled the hunter, who screamed and frantically slashed at the boy. However, the next second, the hunter's body twisted violently, shrinking into a small wooden figure in mid-air before falling to the ground.

This frightened the other hunters. The first hunter to go into battle died, and the others were even less willing to go.

However, the voice beneath the mask spoke again: "Please return to the cruise ship before dawn, or you will lose your hunter status."

Yin Xiu couldn't quite figure out what it meant to lose his hunter identity. In the worst-case scenario, these hunters would die. What if such a large number of hunters were stuck here and died because this boy failed to return to the ship in time?

Whose performance record is this? What if it gets attributed to the teenager?

Yin Xiu's face hardened; no, he had to take action.

Yin Xiu, who had been quietly watching the show, suddenly drew his knife from his waist, pointed it at the boy opposite him, and said to the other hunters, "I'll stop him! You all go back!"

The other hunters were taken aback, but seeing Yin Xiu standing there blocking the boy's path and threatening him with his own knife, the hunters felt a little moved.

They actually dared to bravely confront Yin Xiu to help them return. This is no ordinary hunter; it's truly remarkable!

They didn't care about anything else and hurriedly passed behind Yin Xiu, heading straight for the ship.

Seeing so many hunters leaving, the boy anxiously rushed forward, crying, "Don't go! I finally encountered so many hunters! There are so many of you, and I'm all alone. Aren't you going to kill me?!"

He took a step forward, but Yin Xiu coldly blocked his way. However, he only stopped him and did not intend to kill him. The boy's props seemed to have no effect, and he was blocked by Yin Xiu.

"I thought you were a player, but you're actually helping them! You really are a monster!" The boy stared at Yin Xiu menacingly, as if he were certain of it. "You're getting in my way!"

Yin Xiu stared at him expressionlessly, his voice icy cold as it came from beneath the mask, "You should be glad that I've cultivated myself a lot more now. Otherwise, if it were the old me standing here, I would have made you suffer terribly even if I didn't kill you."

"Don't come near me, or you'll anger me."

His words were spoken slowly and steadily, yet they carried immense pressure.

The boy couldn't see Yin Xiu's face, but he could feel his gaze, like a blade against his throat, so cold it was suffocating. He swallowed hard, feeling difficulty breathing.

The killing intent emanating from someone who has truly committed countless murders and whose hands are stained with blood is chilling and can send shivers down your spine, unlike players who simply stand still and kill with items.

In the past, even high-level players in dungeons would give way in the face of a true god of war. However, after cultivating his character and not entering dungeons for six years, these newcomers have forgotten his former terror.

The boy's expression was no longer as relaxed as before. He noticed the difference in the person in front of him, stared nervously at Yin Xiu, and tentatively asked, "You...you are the boss of this instance?"

He clearly remembered this was a low-level dungeon, so how come the dungeon boss in a low-level dungeon is more intimidating than one in a high-level dungeon? Is this dungeon that special?

"Guess." Yin Xiu coldly uttered these words before leaving the boy's side and returning to the cruise ship amidst the gazes of the hunters on board.

Those on the cruise ship couldn't hear the conversation below. All they saw was the hunter standing calmly in front of the legendary "Yin Xiu," unmoved, fearless, and resolute in escorting them forward and blocking "Yin Xiu's" back. It was truly an admirable sight!

Unlike those powerful hunters who only kill them, this powerful hunter will protect them!

As soon as Yin Xiu returned to the boat, the other hunters rushed over to thank him and praise his bravery.

Yin Xiu was quite surprised to gain the hunters' trust for no apparent reason. He couldn't let these monsters die, because he was the one who had to kill them.

The cruise ship slowly set sail, leaving the edge of the island. Yin Xiu stood on the deck and looked into the distance. The boy was still standing there, staring intently at him, lost in thought.

As the cruise ship sailed further away, the vast, dangerous island seemed like a crouching beast, devouring the boy's small figure. It reminded Yin Xiu of how he himself had once walked alone in such a dangerous environment, covered in wounds.

He just celebrated his birthday in a dungeon yesterday, so he's an adult now. That's so similar to me; he also became an adult in a dungeon.

In the dungeon, amidst danger, facing a major hurdle in his life alone, Yin Xiu couldn't remember how he had gotten through it before, but now, he felt that loneliness would make him very sad.

He should be able to have a lot more; he shouldn't live such a secluded life anymore.

Yin Xiu turned to go back to his room. As if sensing his emotions, the little tentacles that had been quiet all night under the cloak suddenly stirred and began to climb up his arm, seemingly wanting to come out of the cloak.
