The shouts attracted attention from the other side. The young boy sitting on the high place turned his head, and the other players also looked over. Yin Xiu felt very uncomfortable with the dense, malicious gazes from the crowd.
"A newcomer has arrived. It's quite rare to see someone still in the woods so late." The young boy jumped down from the tree and strode over to the two of them.

"I don't like tactless subordinates. This thing is no longer needed." The young boy said, throwing the wooden figure in his hand into the burning campfire next to him. Immediately, the player's scream came from inside, which was particularly piercing amidst the flickering flames.
Yin Xiu narrowed his eyes; he now knew what activities had been taking place here before he arrived.
Those who were turned into wooden figures by the young boys only had their bodies transformed, but their consciousness remained. Being thrown into the fire was no different from being burned alive.
But the players around them started clapping and cheering the moment the screams rang out. Even though people were dying, they were happy. The campfire was burning, the screams were deafening, and the jubilant crowd made the scene look like hell on earth.
Apart from a few people who had chatted with the dead player and were pale-faced but had to keep up with the activity, the rest of the people were genuinely happy that someone had died, their expressions crazed and twisted.
Living in extreme environments for extended periods, constantly facing life and death, inevitably drives some people insane.
