"I can't wait to see what kind of monster it is. Regardless of whether it actually killed Yin Xiu, it's already amazing that it survived Yin Xiu's clutches."
"Yes, I heard that only one hunter came out of this dungeon. All the other hunters have disappeared without a trace. They're probably all dead."
"As expected of the dungeon that Yin Xiu has worked on... not a single monster was left alive, how cruel!"
Amidst the bustling noise, Yin Xiu was led to the main hall on the first floor of the ship, where countless strange figures were gathered.
In the center of the hall was a huge long table covered with a white cloth and decorated with fresh flowers. High-level bosses from different instances sat on chairs on both sides, while slightly lower-level bosses crowded on either side.
Among these strange creatures, Yin Xiu still remembered some, while he had completely forgotten others. The most conspicuous among these strange creatures were the taciturn warden sitting in the corner and the town mayor, whose head had just been stitched up and whose body was covered with sutures like cracks.
The moment Yin Xiu stepped in, he became the focus of everyone's attention. He was led forward and placed directly in front of the table, opposite which stood a huge red spider lily in full bloom.
"Oh dear, this figure looks so familiar, it's kind of like... my lost little mouse!" The mayor said casually the moment he saw Yin Xiu, with a meaningful smile on his face.
The warden glanced at Yin Xiu, then coughed twice without saying anything.
The other dungeon bosses didn't notice anything unusual about the two of them, but Yin Xiu knew clearly that he had been recognized by these two dungeon bosses who had greeted him before.
The other dungeon bosses that were killed were from many years ago. They must have grown much taller by now, and only people who have seen them recently would recognize them at a glance.
Yin Xiu ignored the two. Since they remained silent, Yin Xiu refrained from using violence and instead observed where the deity in charge of distributing the props was.
"So you're the monster selected from this hunting ground?" A voice suddenly came from directly in front of us.
Yin Xiu looked around in confusion and saw a huge, bright red spider lily in front of the long table. At first, he thought it was a decoration, but when the flower opened, he suddenly realized that it seemed to be... a monster.
While the other dungeon bosses are all strangely shaped, they at least have some human-like features. Only this talking flower is completely a flower.
Yin Xiu paused for a moment, then lowered his voice to avoid being recognized, saying, "Yes, it's me."
As soon as he answered, the dungeon bosses nearby couldn't help but ask, "Did you kill Yin Xiu?"
"Are you sure you really killed Yin Xiu, and not someone else?"
"How did you kill Yin Xiu? Yin Xiu was no easy target! We haven't even seen a monster capable of killing him yet!"
Amid their questions, Yin Xiu nodded calmly, "I killed Yin Xiu. Wasn't he a player? I just happened to be passing by and killed him. What's so strange about a hunter killing a player?"
These words immediately caused the surrounding high-level dungeon bosses to gasp in shock. What kind of audacity was this? So arrogant! Did he think he could just kill Yin Xiu so easily?
The other monsters were shocked, but the mayor covered his mouth and chuckled softly. From the perspective of an informed bystander, the scene was truly hilarious.
"I don't think you killed Yin Xiu at all, did you?" One of the monsters, whose face had snake-scale-like features, slammed his hand on the table and stood up, staring straight at Yin Xiu, pointing to a scar on his neck. "I was killed by Yin Xiu once before. That guy's strength is beyond the reach of low-level monsters. You must have killed someone else and mistakenly thought it was Yin Xiu."
Yin Xiu glanced at the strange creature out of the corner of his eye, but had no recollection of it. He said indifferently, "Then I'll kill you now to prove that it was me who killed Yin Xiu?"
His casual words instantly enraged the monster. How could a low-level monster of unknown origin dare to provoke a boss in a high-level dungeon?
Before the monster could rush over, a long, thin petal flew over from the other side of the spider lily and pierced the table in front of the dungeon boss like a blade. The spider lily shook her head and said, "There are very few usable monsters now. I'm afraid we'll lose another good one. Let's not fight amongst ourselves."
The dungeon boss, angered by the provocation, snorted coldly, "You may not have Yin Xiu's strength, but you're just as arrogant. If you were Yin Xiu, I might even kowtow to you twice. You're just a low-level monster who killed the wrong person, yet you have quite the temper."
Although it was full of resentment, it was still preparing to sit back down and not intend to fight Yin Xiu. However, as soon as Gui sat down, unrestrained laughter came from the town mayor's side, with a hint of mockery in it.
"What are you laughing at?" The strange creature glared at him.
"It's nothing, nothing," the mayor waved his hand. "My head was just stitched up, I'm just in a good mood. Can't I laugh a little?"
The other monsters scoffed. This monster was always crazy, and they had never gotten along with it. Now it was suddenly laughing inexplicably, and they didn't know what was wrong with it.
Yin Xiu didn't want to waste time arguing with them here, as it would expose him before he could get the items. So he looked at the flower and asked, "I came here because I heard that you can get items by completing the hunting ground conditions. Where are my items?"
"So you came here because of the items. Although you're strong even without them, you should become even stronger with these strange items. You'll definitely become a sharp sword in high-level dungeons." The spider lily swayed happily, and a beam of light slowly emanated from the center of the flower. Then, a jet-black medal and a piece of red silk floated out and were placed on the table in front of Yin Xiu.
"This is the item I bestow upon you based on your honor. As long as you take this medal, no matter what you were before, you will immediately become one of the bosses of the intermediate dungeon, serving the entire strange world and protecting the order here."
Yin Xiu did not respond, but instead stepped forward and picked up the strange prop amidst the displeased gazes of the crowd around him.
As soon as I picked it up, the notice came to mind.
[Congratulations! You have obtained an S-rank supernatural item: Crimson Ribbon.]
[Item Description: A beautiful red silk ribbon that can be woven into various shapes. Whatever you tie it to, it will instantly bring that object to life, making it extremely aggressive. If convenient, you can cut the ribbon into sections to create your own personal subordinates.]
[Item restriction: Please do not wash with water.]
[This item is a monster item and can only be used by monsters. You are not currently a monster and therefore cannot use it.]
Yin Xiu listened to the description in silence. Clearly, this was not what he was looking for; it was a strange prop.
But what he should pay attention to is the final description: the props know he is not a monster, but they also suggest that he has not yet become one.
Is it possible for a player to become a monster?
