Chapter 235 - Chapter 235 Treating Guests to Dinner

After kicking several players into the treatment room, Yin Xiu calmly stood at the door, knife in hand, to prevent them from running away if they went berserk.

He held his tray, staring intently at the players, and said coldly, "Why did you put drugs in my food?"

Zhong Mu's food was fine, but his meal was inexplicably laced with some medicine. Given that they had asked for his name before, it was clearly targeted at him.

The players exchanged glances, hesitant to speak.

Yin Xiu's gaze darkened slightly, and he twirled the sharp longsword in his hand, threatening in a sinister tone, "If you don't speak, my sword won't be so merciless in a moment."

The players turned pale and cried out in a panic, "It's Lady Ye! Lady Ye told us to do this! She said we absolutely had to give you some medicine, and if we had to, we could only do it through your food!"

"Why do you insist on making me take medicine? Is there any other explanation besides food?"

Faced with Yin Xiu's cold gaze, they panicked and were at a loss. "No, no, we don't know why Lady Ye insisted that you take the medicine, but that's what she told us to do. We don't know anything else!"

Yin Xiu didn't respond, staring intently at them. The players looked panicked, but didn't reveal anything more, most likely because they genuinely didn't know.

Judging that the time was about right, Yin Xiu casually ended the topic, staring at them and waiting for the players to react unusually.

Under the man's expressionless and silent gaze, the players were already terrified, but after a while, the fear was suddenly replaced by an even more intense emotion.

The players suddenly widened their pupils as if they had seen something terrifying, and even their breathing became trembling.

"The walls, the walls... and the ground... how... how did everything change..." The players looked around in horror. The sudden distortion and gore of the scene caught them off guard, and they huddled together in fear, trembling.

Standing amidst the blood, Yin Xiu calmly raised his chin and said, "Look at the hospital bed over there."

Several players looked over and witnessed the patients, who had just been lying there peacefully, suddenly open their eyes and begin to mechanically tear at their skin with knives and fingernails, muttering in their sleep, staring blankly, and continuously staining the entire bed sheet red with blood.

The horrifying scene left the players stunned. The clean and tidy hospital had turned into a bloody and terrifying place in the blink of an eye. They rubbed their eyes and covered their ears, trying to resist the negative effects of the level two symptoms, but to no avail.

"How was it? Not bad feeling of transforming into a monster, right?" Yin Xiu smiled faintly as he spoke to them, then walked to the wall, tore off the mental level on the wall, crumpled it into a ball, and stuffed it into his pocket.

"Turned into a monster?" The players stared in horror. They had never been to this clinic before and were unaware of the connection between mental levels and medication. Now, their minds were filled with tinnitus, dizziness, and redness, and the world before them had suddenly changed. All these confusions were brought to their senses by Yin Xiu's words about turning into a monster.

"Yes, the hospital you've seen must have become quite terrifying by now, right? This is the perspective of the monsters." Yin Xiu smiled slightly and said casually, "If you stay in this room for too long, you'll all turn into monsters, and you'll soon no longer be players."

The less information the other party has, the more natural Yin Xiu's fabrications will seem. Since the other party doesn't know what the level two symptoms are, they might believe whatever he says, and it wouldn't be surprising if they turned into a monster.

"Become a monster?! No! I don't want to become a monster!" The players stared in horror, unable to bear the terrifying scene for even a moment longer, and tried to run past Yin Xiu to escape.

But everyone who rushed to the door was coldly kicked back by Yin Xiu.

"Isn't it a bit too late to run now? Since you're so willing to work for Lady Night, wouldn't it be even more convenient for you to become monsters?"

The players were terrified. "No, no... we were just being coerced by the Night Goddess to do things. I don't want to become monsters!"

"Yes! Please let us out! We'll never bother you again!"

"No, we won't come near you anymore! I promise! So let us out! We don't want to become monsters!"

They wept bitterly, and Yin Xiu's gaze was cold and piercing. "You have all become monsters now."

The players' hearts skipped a beat, and before they could even feel grief and anger, Yin Xiu smiled slightly, "However, it's not impossible to change back."

His smile brought a glimmer of hope to the players, but only for a moment. The next second, Yin Xiu, looking gloomy, handed the plate of rice he had been holding to the group, saying, "Eat this, and you'll recover."

The players stared blankly at the food covered in blood and flesh, completely stunned.

Yin Xiu carried this dish all the way; was the ultimate goal of the whole operation to get them to eat this meal?

"But... there's flesh and blood in the rice... when did you put this in the rice?!" The players slowly shrank back; they couldn't accept eating this!

"Eat or not?" Yin Xiu smiled slightly, not wanting to explain that the eyeballs they saw were actually medicine, and said in a deliberately profound tone, "Eat it once and you will recover. If you don't eat it, you will be eating this every day from now on."

His silent threat turned the players' faces ashen. They hesitated, conflicted, and with extremely unpleasant expressions, they finally gritted their teeth and extended their hands.

Painful whimpers and sounds of nausea kept coming from the examination room. A few minutes later, Yin Xiu walked out of the examination room looking refreshed. After dealing with the players, he felt much better, and now the bloody mess around him didn't seem so painful anymore.

"Brother Xiu, what are you doing?" Zhong Mu squatted by the door. Hearing the sounds inside, he secretly peeked through the crack in the door and saw several players lying there with grim faces, looking utterly hopeless. He couldn't help but be curious.

"It's nothing. I guess they won't dare to bother me again." Yin Xiu stretched casually, yawned, and rubbed his aching temples.

It's really uncomfortable to be in the second-degree symptoms. Now, after making others uncomfortable, he feels a little better, but the tinnitus and dizziness from the second-degree symptoms are very unpleasant to suffer from for a long time.

Yin Xiu calculated the time and realized it was about time to go back to his room to sleep. He patted Zhong Mu on the shoulder, turned around and walked towards his room. "We can talk about it tomorrow. I'm going back to rest first. Call me with Butterfly if anything unexpected happens."

"Okay." Zhong Mu nodded and watched Yin Xiu leave.

He turned to look at the examination room, where several players were lying there, sobbing and wailing, wanting to vomit but not daring to. They could only pound the ground in grief and indignation, "If only we hadn't agreed to Lady Ye's conditions! If we had known we would turn into monsters that eat flesh and eyeballs, we wouldn't have done this damn thing!"

"Ugh, I really want to go back and slap myself. Why did I agree to the prop deal with Lady Ye?!"

Seeing that some players were somewhat withdrawn, Zhong Mu was even more puzzled.

Eyeballs? Where did Brother Xiu get his eyeballs?
