Yin Xiu slowly put the candy into his mouth. The subtle sweetness made him feel wonderful; it was a taste he hadn't experienced in a long time.

Yin Xiu looked up and saw a small, dark figure lying by the mouth of the coffin, staring at him intently. He was both surprised and delighted. "You're awake? I thought you were going to fall asleep like this and never wake up again!"
Yin Xiu calmly got up, stretched his body, and glanced at the dark figure staring at him intently. He reached out and grabbed a tentacle that was almost blending into the darkness, and pecked it. "Thank you for keeping me company while I slept. I feel very safe with you here."
The shadowy figure paused, its entire body stiffening, even the tentacles held in Yin Xiu's hand stood erect.
"This is... family...?" The dark figure trembled, then excitedly pounced on Yin Xiu, wrapping himself around him. "I love it!"
The familiar, cold embrace made Yin Xiu feel surprisingly at ease. He endured the heavy tentacles hanging on his body as he climbed out of the coffin and stepped outside.
"Where are you going? Are you leaving?" The shadowy figure noticed his movements and cautiously approached, blinking its eyes. "Don't leave me."
Yin Xiu stroked it gently and said soothingly, "Wait here. It may not be long before another version of me comes to find you. I will not leave you, just as you will not leave me."
A dark, sticky figure crept up to Yin Xiu, pressing against him. "How long? How long do I have to wait? Will it be a long time?"
Its voice was filled with reluctance to part.
"It won't be long." Yin Xiu touched it, noticing the cloudiness in its consciousness. He quickly broke free and hurried towards the portal.
The shadowy figure practically clung to him, the heavy burden making Yin Xiu walk very slowly. The tentacles reluctantly wrapped around Yin Xiu, slithering over his body. As Yin Xiu gradually approached the portal, they slowly retreated, not wanting Yin Xiu to see their appearance.
"I'm leaving. Aren't you going to see me off?" Yin Xiu stood in front of the light gate and looked back at the blurry figure that was almost hidden in the darkness.
"I don't want you to see what I look like. I want to leave you with the best impression. The book says that first impressions are very important." It nodded earnestly, trying very hard to make a good impression, afraid that if it didn't, Yin Xiu wouldn't like it.
Yin Xiu smiled helplessly, "So you'll have to become a good-looking person before you come to see me again?"

Then the bright red figure turned and joyfully leaped into the darkness.
Yin Xiu silently held the three candies in his palm and continued walking, familiar figures passing by one by one.
"Thank you, Brother Xiu, for helping me through the dungeon. I'm so glad I got through that dungeon safely with Brother Xiu so I could meet everyone in the town! Brother Xiu is so kind!"
A piece of candy was placed in his palm.
