Chapter 274 - Chapter 274 Isn't unconditional trust what family is all about?

Yin Xiu also sensed his seriousness and the danger, but gently reassured him, "I was just making a hypothetical assumption."

The person in front of him slowly suppressed the chill emanating from him, then lowered his eyes.

"I don't want my boyfriend to become a monster because of me, it would make me very sad..."

He muttered to himself, snowflakes falling on his eyelashes, masking the coldness in his eyes.

"I was just saying, don't mind it." Yin Xiu quickly ended the conversation, stood up and tugged at his hand.

The wild, howling wind, mixed with swirling snowflakes, enveloped Li Mo's black figure, creating a dazzling and strangely beautiful scene.

Ya Ya, who had just been startled by the cold, and Ling Feng, who was inside the house, stood at the door in astonishment, while Zhong Mu remained calm.

Ya Ya rubbed her eyes and asked in a soft, sweet voice, "Brother... what's wrong with it being so dark?"

"It's nothing, you can go back to sleep," Yin Xiu said gently.

"Don't get angry suddenly, Hei Qiqi." Ya Ya, still half asleep, went over and tugged at Li Mo's trouser leg, making his straight suit pants all wrinkled.

Li Mo lowered her eyes and didn't speak. Zhong Mu, who was standing next to her, hurriedly came over and picked up Ya Ya. "Let's go inside first. It's windy outside. Your brother will come in and play with you later."

With keen insight, Zhong Mu quickly carried Ya Ya away. The thought that Ling Feng seemed to have realized that Li Mo was not human made him feel that things were very troublesome.

Yin Xiu and Li Mo were at the entrance of the camp, while Ling Feng watched Li Mo warily from the side.

"Don't be angry anymore." Yin Xiu reached out and rubbed Li Mo's face, gently soothing her. "Help me find some branches, and I'll teach you how to build a snowman. I used to build snowmen in the orphanage's yard all the time."

As her boyfriend gently rubbed her cheeks and coaxed her in a soft voice, Li Mo felt all her resentment vanish.

What is a snowman?

"Something that's both beautiful and fragile; you'll probably like it."

Li Mo thought for a moment, then nodded.

"I'll be right back." He smiled again, touched noses with Yin Xiu, and then quickly turned to find a branch.

As soon as Li Mo left, Yin Xiu turned to Ling Feng, who was standing to the side, and asked, "Is there anything you want to say?"

"He's not human, is he?" Although Ling Feng asked in a question, his tone was full of certainty. The man who looked so strange at first glance was definitely not human. At first, he only had doubts and was not sure, but just now, he was absolutely certain that he was not a person.

"Yes, he is not human." Yin Xiu admitted calmly, without trying to hide it.

Ling Feng frowned. "Although I know you have a rather unique way of doing things in dungeons, I really didn't expect you to keep the monsters around as family."

Yin Xiu ignored his shock, instead squatting down, scooping up a handful of snow, and kneading it in his hands. "He is indeed not human, but he is very important to me."

"I don't understand." Ling Feng frowned. "Monsters are uncontrollable. He almost lost control just now. That man is dangerous."

Yin Xiu shook his head. "The monster is indeed dangerous, but he has something that many people don't have, which is very important to me."

While huddling up some snow, Yin Xiu looked up at Ling Feng and asked, "Do you know what players are most likely to lose in a dungeon?"

Ling Feng quickly replied, "Of course it's fate. All the players work so hard to clear the game, isn't it all for survival? We're trapped here struggling, isn't it also for survival?"

"Life…maybe it's not that important…" Yin Xiu lowered his head and focused on kneading the snowball in his hand. "Life is easy to lose in dungeons, but in my opinion, what players lose most easily is their humanity."

"They abandoned hope, dignity, perseverance, and effort, and survived, but they no longer lived like human beings."

Ling Feng was puzzled. "What humanity do monsters have?"

Yin Xiu smiled but remained silent.

After standing there in silence for a moment, Ling Feng said, "Yin Xiu, I know some things about you, which I learned from the monster."

"The monsters don't understand humans; they just talk about it in a casual tone. But I learned about your whole past from it, what kind of person you used to be. The reason you associate with monsters is simply because no one among the players accepts you, so you chose to become a monster."

He stared intently at Yin Xiu. "I understand your predicament, the pain of not being accepted by your people. If you are willing to stay away from monsters, I would like to team up with you, so that you no longer have to treat monsters as family."

Yin Xiu smiled and looked up at him, "Is it so pitiful to be family with monsters?"

Ling Feng frowned seriously. "Of course they're pitiful. Humans have their own families, so why do they have to choose monsters?"

Yin Xiu smiled faintly, "Thank you for your kindness. If it were me in the past, I might have chosen you, but not now, because the monster is really quite good."

Ling Feng couldn't understand, "Am I not good enough?"

Yin Xiu shook his head. "The word 'family' is very important to me. I admit that you may be being kind as an ordinary person, but it's really unnecessary for me."

The snowflakes that Yin Xiu was holding were rolled and twirled in his hand, turning into the shape of a white rabbit, which was very cute.

He gently put the rabbit down, then scooped up a handful of snow from the side, kneaded it, and handed it to Ling Feng, "Want some?"

Ling Feng stared intently at the snow rabbit that Yin Xiu had already shaped and placed on the ground. "I want that one more."

Yin Xiu responded calmly, "This already has an owner."

Ling Feng stared intently at the exquisite snow rabbit on the ground and the unformed clump of snow that Yin Xiu had handed him, then frowned and turned away.

Yin Xiu ignored his departure and continued to lower his head, kneading the snowball in his hand.

A moment later, Li Mo's dark figure returned, carrying a few tree branches as he hurriedly approached Yin Xiu. He immediately spotted the snow rabbit that Yin Xiu had already sculpted.

"Boyfriend! This looks great! I love it!"

Yin Xiu smiled and said, "Isn't it beautiful? This is mine."

Then he scooped up a clump of snow from the ground, kneaded it a couple of times, and handed it to Li Mo, saying, "Here, take this."

"Okay!" Li Mo dropped the branch, carefully took the snowball Yin Xiu handed over, and carefully twirled it in his hand, imitating Yin Xiu's way of making a snow rabbit.

Finally, she sculpted an ugly, oddly shaped object, but Li Mo was very satisfied. Then, with eyes full of enthusiasm, she handed it to Yin Xiu, saying, "Boyfriend, don't mind it. This is for you."

His gaze was intense and bright. Yin Xiu reached out and took the ugly little thing, then placed the first snow rabbit dumpling he had made into Li Mo's palm. "This is for you."

Li Mo held the snow rabbit dumpling with delight, carefully cradling it in her hands, afraid that the snow was too fragile and she might accidentally break it.

He held it, examining it from left to right, then exclaimed with delight, "Boyfriend! I love it!"

"You probably haven't seen a snow rabbit before, have you?" Yin Xiu looked at his surprised expression, then looked down at the ugly rabbit that Li Mo had sculpted in his palm.

Isn't unconditional trust what family is all about?

Li Mo never thought about taking the snow rabbit in his hand; he only thought that he should make a nice one to give to Yin Xiu.

Therefore, through giving and exchanging, Li Mo obtained Yin Xiu's snow rabbit.
