Chapter 1 - Realization 1

Nira Whelms was walking through the library, looking for a book to read. The last book she read was a math book filled with ancient beings whose names she had forgotten.

She liked action packed books, but she never got the chance to actually read one, as she always found the worst ones.

"Hey Nira, looking good are you!" her friend called from the other side of the windows. She was the gorgeous type with white hair and red eyes. Although she was a tomboy, she did not want boys; she wanted girls, she wanted them all for herself.

She was also wearing a black adidas jacket along with a white shirt and black pants, and a grey cap that matched her fit. She went to the other sections of the rows of shelves, picked a random book, and laid it on the table before sitting down to read it as she opened page one.

"A math book by Bradon Sand..." As soon as she saw the words math book, she slammed her fists on the wooden table, earning the eyes of many.

"Forget math." she hissed under her breath as she stuffed the book deep into the racks of books sitting in the shelves.

She picked another book with an actually good looking cover and laid it on the table again, then sat down and opened the first page.

"The use of Void. Void is an essential forgotten element. Many people use it, but in the nine billion people in this world, many fall short." It read further. "Void is a hybrid element of dark matter and light, essentially giving it that purple hue."

She continued reading the book, fully invested in its explanation of how Void works. She became so absorbed that she completed the entire book in three hours. That book was two hundred pages long.

She quickly left the library after that. As she crossed the streets, she finally entered her apartment. It was small but cozy, and she had hung pictures of a girl she liked.

She looked at her test papers as she turned off the lamp and laid down in her bed to have a good night of rest.

Or so she thought. In the middle of the night, she heard shooting noises. Immediately she got out from her covers and pulled a glock from her small cabinet along with some bullets. She reloaded it perfectly as she opened the door and stepped out of her room.

The lights were still on, which was perfect. She did not want anything coming at her while it was dark. She began climbing down as she saw a man screaming.

"Give me cash now." the man demanded.

Seriously? Robbing a hotel? Nira sneered in her thoughts as she set her sights on the man wearing a rabbit mask. She immediately shot his head, and the bullet landed perfectly.

"Are you guys okay?" Nira asked, emotionless as ever.

"Ah yes, Nira! But we thought there was another shoote— Oh god, Nira!" the receptionist shouted as another shooter fired at Nira, mistaking her for the robber. She died peacefully that day, the screams of the receptionist still echoing in her mind as she revisited past memories.
