The next
morning. Peyton wakes up to the sound of Alex puking in the bathroom. They rush
in and rub Alex's back. "Ugh don't ever let me drink that much again." Peyton
chuckles. "I warned you. You just didn't listen to me." Alex groans and sits
down against the wall. Peyton sits next to her and rubs her back. "Hey P?"

man smiles and nods. "Your food will be ready shortly." The two go have a seat. "So do you know him?" Peyton nods.
"He's the guy that you turned down in ninth grade." Alex looks over at the guy
and then back at Peyton. "Holy shit he's changed. What's with that scar across

pull away after a minute. "You better go." Alex nods. She gets out of the car.
"Hey, will I see you tonight?" "Maybe. I don't know yet." Alex nods sadly.
"Okay. Bye." Peyton gets out of the car and grabs Alex's arm. She turns with
tears in her eyes. Peyton wipes them. "Don't cry my angel." Alex hugs Peyton tightly.
Peyton hugs back gently. When Alex pulls away from the hug Peyton kisses Alex deeply.
Peyton pulls away. "I'll be here after my mum goes to sleep." Alex nods. Peyton

after Alex walks in the house. Later on.

gets their package and then grabs their keys and wallet. They then get in their

me. I'll be back tonight." Justine nods. "Alright." Eric comes
downstairs. "Before you go." Justine looks at Eric and then at Peyton

business and trying to take Alex from you. I'm just overprotective of her. I

Peyton looks at Alex who nods. They then look at Eric and shake their hand.
"From now on she's yours. I'll only be there when need be." Peyton
smiles and nods. Eric smiles back. "Alright I'll let you go do your
thing." Peyton punches Eric's shoulder gently. Eric chuckles.
"Alright I'll see you later." Justine nods. Alex and Peyton leave
after putting on their shoes. On the drive. "Where are we going?"
Peyton turns onto the highway. "Once a year my brother loses control so on
that day he does I'm always there. Keeping him from killing anyone. Now you
understand why I didn't want you coming? You're human." Alex nods.
"Well you'll protect me." "And what if I can't and I lose
control of him? What then? You'll be dead." Alex sighs and looks out the
window. Once Peyton stops the car. "Stay here." "But."

Alex's cheek and gets out of the car. They then walk to the shed.
"Aaron!" Aaron smiles and walks up to Peyton. The two hug. "So I
hear you have a girlfriend? Can I meet her?" Peyton hesitates. Aaron

"You say that now." Aaron walks out the shed to the car. He knocks on
the window. Alex looks up. She then rolls down the window. "Howdy. I'm
Aaron." Aaron offers Alex his hand. Alex shakes it carefully.
"Alex." Aaron leans over the open window. "So Alex. How's life
treatin ya these days?" Alex shrugs. "Pretty well actually."
Alex looks at Peyton. Aaron chuckles. "Yeah well be careful with this one.

"Hey you two fancy some sushi? My girlfriend is working on some in the
kitchen as we speak." Alex gets out of the car. Aaron laughs. "That's

Peyton grabs her arm. Alex pulls away. "Would you relax?" Alex starts
walking next to Aaron and they chat away. A little later they're all eating
sushi. "So Alex what classes do you take with Peyton?" Alex taps at
her mouth with her napkin. "English and Science." "You enjoy
those?" Alex shrugs. "They're okay. Not my favorite subjects."
Aaron nods. "What are your favorite subjects?" Alex finishes eating
and cleans her plate. "Math and Gym." Aaron smiles. "Those were
my favorite too." Alex smiles. Tristine gets up. "You done

plate and her own and washes them. Alex looks up at the sky. So does Tristine.
"You're scared aren't you?" Alex shrugs. "A little but not

that?" Tristine looks at where Alex was looking and smiles. "That was

Alex tries to go to them. Tristine wraps her arms around Alex's stomach.

hi by the way." Aaron smiles. The two get back to the house and Tristine

Peyton nods. Tristine comes downstairs. "He's fast asleep." Peyton
smiles. "Alright we're gonna get going. Gotta get her home." Tristine
nods and hugs Peyton. "Thanks again." "He's my brother so."
Tristine nods. Alex and Peyton leave. Alex waves. Tristine waves back. Peyton
drives away after putting on their zip up hoodie. At Alex's Justine comes out
of the house. "You have any idea what time it is?" Peyton comes
around the car. "I'm so sorry Justine. The thing with my brother took
longer than I thought." Justine sighs. "Get in here." Peyton
locks the car and follows Alex and Justine into the house. Alex and Peyton go
up to bed. They go to sleep after brushing their teeth and plugging in their
phones.
