Nine months had passed since Brian made Bella his girlfriend; the memorable day had not faded from his memory even slightly.
Nine months felt long yet passed so quickly every time Bella was with him. Bella, the first girl who dared to turn towards him, staring at him firmly, challenging him loudly.
At that time, Brian was just a young man blinded by ambition, not understanding what true life was at all. A cruel youth who knew no mercy, darkness truly dominated Brian back then.
He changed; everything seemed to change when Bella, the girl he loved so dearly, kindly extended her hand, freeing him from the storm.
Bella, the only girl capable of drawing the sympathy of a Brian that he had discarded for years. To him, Bella truly managed to restore his lost light.
The world is an illusion—this was no longer Brian's principle; he easily and unhesitatingly threw that principle away.
Bella, the girl with her melodious laughter, God's most beautiful creation—her name was clearly etched in Brian's heart. Enough! Right now, Brian didn't want darkness to be present in his life.
Currently, there was only one thing in his life: the girl he loved so much was everything to him. His world seemed to revolve around Bella alone. Brian even thought about his future.
If he remained a mafia, he would never be worthy of standing beside Bella, holding her hand, and dreaming about what their life would be like tomorrow.
Ambition began to seize his heart, his resolve was firm! Breaking free from the cruel organization was the primary goal he would achieve now.
Currently, they were both in Sapporo; Brian and Bella had been there for about two weeks.
Brian deliberately brought Bella here before executing his uprising mission to leave the organization.
It was precisely spring when they were here; the beauty of the falling cherry blossoms greeted their footsteps, with sakura trees growing beautifully on their sides. The falling leaves seemed to shower the couple walking casually.
Suddenly, Bella let go of Brian's hand, running towards one of the sakura trees shedding its leaves.
Her arms were outstretched, her eyes closed, her body started spinning gently, enjoying the shower of falling sakura leaves. Brian watched the scene, one word crossed his mind: "Beautiful." His girlfriend was so graceful in his eyes right now.
"Why are you just standing there? Why don't you come here?" Bella asked, inviting him. She smiled at Brian.
"You're like a little kid with that behavior!" Brian approached Bella.
"What did you just say?" Bella asked him.
"Nothing, except if you do that! You have to invite me!" Brian said, then approached Bella. Just as Brian was right in front of Bella, his strong arms lifted her body and spun with her. Happy laughter flowed sweetly between them.
"Aaa... Put me down now!" Bella whined. Hearing the small request, Brian put her down, looking at her gently.
"Are you happy?" Brian asked. Bella thought for a moment.
"No!" Bella replied curtly.
"Oh really, why?" Brian looked at her, curious.
"Because the happiness I feel here, it seems like you don't feel it at all?" Bella explained to him.
"I am happy," Brian said honestly. Bella raised an eyebrow at that.
"Then why don't I see that happiness?" Bella said, observing her boyfriend's gaze closely.
"Because it seems like your heart isn't completely mine yet!" Brian replied jokingly.
"Why is that?" Bella asked him.
"You idiot! If I wasn't happy, I would never have tried to get tickets here for you! The happiness I feel is in your happiness, so if you want me to be happy, make sure this laughter stays!" Brian said, his hand gently pulling the corner of Bella's mouth, causing Bella to smile sincerely at him.
"How sweet, I love you!" Bella exclaimed. Brian smiled upon hearing the sweet expression of affection.
"Before coming here, I bought something for you." Brian reached into his pocket, pulling something out—a red box. Brian knelt before Bella, opening the box. Bella watched.
A beautiful diamond ring was visible. Brian gently took Bella's hand, placing the ring right on her ring finger. Brian stood up after putting the ring on.
"Are you proposing to me?" Bella asked.
"I have no desire to marry you young," Brian answered honestly.
"Then what is this ring for?" Bella raised an eyebrow.
"Just keep it. At least after this, I don't know if I'll come back or not," Brian said as if he were going to die. Bella didn't understand what Brian was saying at all.
"Let's go home!" Bella suddenly said to him. This time Bella was truly furious; Brian had just made her heart so worried with his overly blunt words, but Brian didn't seem to care; he just walked away from Bella.
"Stop!" Bella commanded him. Brian stopped at Bella's command and turned around, seeing his girl looking at him, eyes darkened with anger.
"Stupid boy!" Bella cursed Brian there. Bella walked up to Brian, who was a little far from her.
"What did you just say? Do you want to try to commit suicide after this? Or are you hoping to meet death very quickly? Are you stupid or what, huh? One moment you act sweet, but then you talk as if you'll leave me after this!" Bella fumed at him. An anger Brian rarely saw. Brian felt a little guilty, not because Bella was yelling at him, but because a tear fell from Bella's eyelid. Quickly, his hand reached out, and the tear fell right onto Brian's palm.
"Crybaby! So what if I leave after this? Aren't you happy to be free from an annoying person like me?" Brian asked her.
Bella was truly upset with Brian now, and she quickly turned away from Brian. Just as Bella passed him, Brian gently pulled her wrist, pulling her into his embrace.
"Only I am allowed to leave with such an indifferent face; you are not worthy to leave with an indifferent face, leaving me! No one is leaving; I won't leave you who so carelessly entered my life and changed it as you pleased!" Brian whispered to her. Bella pulled away from Brian, trying to release his grip.
"Idiot! Stupid boy!!!" Bella cursed him again. Bella left Brian after that. Brian smiled slightly at the sight.
"Slow down your steps!" Brian said, following Bella from behind, but Bella still ignored Brian.

Night arrived. Brian was currently standing in front of the hotel room door. Bella had just entered her room and locked the door; they were sharing a room but not a bed.
Brian was very frustrated right now because he had been standing in front of the door for an hour, knocking, but there was no answer from Bella at all.
"Jeez, what mistake have I made now?" Brian grumbled, his hand trying to knock on the room door again, but nothing; there was no answer.
"What kind of girl have I made my girlfriend now? How can she let me stand here for an hour!" Brian grumbled again.
"Keep cursing like that! I won't open this door until tomorrow morning!" Bella shouted, threatening him from behind the door. Brian exhaled roughly.
"Fine, I'm sorry. I was wrong! Can you open the door now? My eyes are very tired, darling, please!" Brian pleaded, giving up.
"Don't want to!!!" Bella shouted. Brian exhaled roughly once more, trying to think for a moment.
A cunning idea suddenly popped into his mind; the current atmosphere also supported it, with the hotel hallway being quite deserted.
Brian pulled out a small folding knife, making a small cut on his hand. Fresh blood was pouring out. He quickly wiped the blood on his chest, which was covered in a white shirt. Soon, Brian took out a small pistol.
"Bella, please open it now! There are some suspicious people approaching! Please open the door, I don't want to die!" Brian screamed hysterically.
"Idiot! You're lying!!!" Bella shouted.
Bang
The sound of the small gunshot made Bella's eyes widen. After the shot, Brian's voice was completely silent.
"Nicolas?" Bella called, trying to ensure that the young man behind the door could still answer her, but still, there was no answer at all.
Bella got up from her seat, quickly opening the hotel room door. She saw Brian lying on the floor with blood on his chest. Bella was shocked by the sight; she quickly tapped Brian's cheek gently.
