Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

A man was traveling on a bus. He rested his right forearm on the window frame next to him, watching the cars go by.

"What's that?" a woman asked.

When the man next to her turned to look at the passenger beside him and understand why she was curious, he saw a faceless woman.

The man jumped and leaned against the wall of the bus to his right.

Bang!

The wall of the bus collapsed, and the man began to fall.

"Will it all end?" the man wondered to himself.

...

He waited and waited with his eyes closed, but nothing happened.

When the man opened his eyes, he was now a child, sitting at a table laden with food.

"Sweetheart, you need to eat quickly, or you'll be late for school," said a warm voice he recognized—his mother's.

The boy nodded; he had no reason to refuse. When he looked at his plate and went to eat, he saw three plastic Legos on it.

The boy sighed.

"What's wrong? Why aren't you eating?" asked an unfamiliar, elderly voice that seemed to be searching the boy's soul.

The boy didn't bother asking anything. He left the table and ran. Behind him, he could hear footsteps approaching.

He opened the front door and went outside.

Upon leaving, he entered a room with multiple cubicles.

"What are you waiting for? Lunchtime is over. It's your turn to write the report," said a male voice that struck him as unpleasant.

The male voice belonged to the head of the department where he was doing an internship as a civil servant.

With nothing else to do, he found his desk, turned on the computer, and a pornographic film appeared.

He felt embarrassed, but when he looked around, he was surrounded by university students, and a group of them were laughing at him.

He stood up from his chair, and perhaps to release some of the stress he felt, he approached the four boys who had played that prank on him and punched their leader in the mouth. After that, he received a beating that only ended when he lost consciousness.

...

Upon waking, he felt the breeze on his face. He was in the air. He felt a slight panic; it wasn't the first time. He found himself flying while in the form of a falcon.

He decided to glide calmly through the air, but his calm didn't last long.

Bang!

The sound of a gunshot, and then his falcon body began to plummet.

...

When he opened his eyes, he had become a man running swiftly, pursued by the roar of a tiger.

He ran and ran until he saw a river, but swimming on its surface was an enormous and grotesque crocodile.

The man sighed, and when he turned, he saw the feline leaping toward him.

...

He woke up in a comfortable bed. Beside him was a beautiful woman who had been his girlfriend. He relaxed a little, stared at the unfamiliar ceiling, and then heard loud banging on the door.

"Damn bitch, I know you're in there, with your lover," a man said in an irritated voice.

He didn't recognize the man's voice.

"What will we do?" a beautiful, unfamiliar woman asked.

"To hell with it," he thought. He got up. He was naked, but he opened the door anyway, and a man pointed a shotgun at him.

Bang!

...

A little while later, he found himself walking on a large bridge. At the end of the bridge was a mountain of gold. He wasn't excited; those dreams about lots of money never turned out well.

He walked on, and when he was about to reach the end of the bridge, the floor collapsed, and he grabbed onto the railings.

Looking down, he saw a raging river, then the railings transformed into butterflies and he began to fall.

...

The man opened his eyes. His skin wasn't wet; it was slimy, grayish, and wrinkled.

His clothing was strange. When he looked at his arms, six limbs with suction cups formed.

"Captain? Which direction should we take?" asked one of the beings with bulging eyes and an enormous, octopus-like head. They didn't speak; they communicated with mental sounds, that is, with telepathy.

He wanted to sigh, but he just looked around and saw a technological environment. He was in front of a huge control panel.

He started pressing all the buttons, and although they eventually stopped him, the ship exploded in the middle of space.

...

"Son, we're here." His father dropped him off in front of the high school.

He said goodbye to his father, and when he got out of the car, it was raining. Shortly after, he had to run because there were zombies everywhere.

Unlike in a good movie, he found himself surrounded and powerless, and his body was mutilated and slowly devoured.

...

Several chaotic cycles later

Upon waking, he found himself on a large white cloud, with a beautiful blue sky above him.

"What is this? If I wasn't almost certain I died, I'd think I was dreaming. Just the dreams I had while I was still alive were so strange sometimes."

"Is this limbo? Purgatory? Or some kind of hell? Or did I just get lost while my soul was on its way to the next cycle of reincarnation?"

"None of those. You're simply in a paradise of chaos. It's a place that tests the capacity and resilience of the mental fortitude of a creative being's soul," a mysterious voice said.

"Why?" he asked calmly.

"Only those who endure will be allowed to reincarnate with their memories. However, you will be reincarnated in a chaotic world where humans fight against various enemies."

"Isn't that cruel?" he asked.

"If you manage to replace chaos with an orderly world, you can become immortal, or we will reincarnate you in a world that has everything you could possibly desire."

"Is that the only way I can get out of here?" He asked another question.

"If you reject the idea, your soul will be recycled, and you will live again, but without your memories."

"Hmm, I don't think that's so good either. If I accept your proposal, will I reincarnate with an outstanding talent?" He asked the last question he considered relevant.

"Exactly, you will have my blessing, which will mean your magical talent will be limitless."

Bored with the chaotic place he was in and not wanting to lose his memories, he finally replied:

"I will reincarnate."

"I wish you luck. So that chaos never overcomes order again."
