The giant in front of us roared and began to destroy its surroundings before turning its eyes on us. "YOU!!" it shouted, and began to walk towards us, luckily at a slow pace due to its size.
"I'll think about it, but for now we have no choice but to attack it," Alice summoned her card and then flew into the air with magic from her card.
Meanwhile, I had to independently climb onto the roof of the house before I could climb up the giant's arm.
The giant moved its arm, trying to knock me down, but I wasn't that easy to bring down. In the air, Alice threw a card, and upon contact with the giant's cheek, it exploded, but the giant didn't seem to feel any pain.
"Ugh! Of course that didn't work! Why did I even try it in the first place?!" Alice bit her lip, frustrated with herself.
I kept climbing until I jumped and flew upward, soaring through the air and soon—my feet landed on the giant's shoulders. I aimed at the giant's eyes, its other arm approaching, ready to swat me away, but luckily for me, I was able to jump and move to its other arm.
I ran towards the arm and aimed again, this time I was quick enough to pull the trigger and—BANG. The bullet hit the giant in the eye, he screamed and reflexively threw me into the air.
"At least that's a bullseye"
I fell headfirst, and Alice swiftly tossed a card straight beneath me so that I could glide to safety. I then jumped back down to the ground and stepped aside, joining Alice as she worked out a plan.
The giant was still screaming in pain and demolishing the houses around him because I had shot him in the eye.
"Talk about overreacting," I muttered to myself whilst Alice remained silent, mulling over the plans in her head; it took quite a while before she finally had a brainwave.
"I have a plan!" Alice said, turning to me, "Please hold him off... for as long as you can!" she said before running away.
"Gladly..." I muttered, watching her slowly disappear from sight. "I'd like to say that, but how?"
I thought really hard. I'm not as smart as Alice, so I guess I can only do what I can do, which is... keep attacking and try not to die!
Isaw a huge shadow beneath me and, as I looked up, I saw a giant hand about to crush me. I quickly dodged and leapt straight up onto its hand. The monster shook its hand and, unfortunately, managed to shake me off its massive hand.
I fell—but luckily it wasn't too high, when I was in the air, I aimed at its knee and—BANG—I was hoping for the same reaction as before.
But the giant didn't react at all. "Big body, big muscles, I guess" I muttered as I landed on the straw nearby.
"That means I have to shoot its blind spot," I said to myself before jumping out of the straw pile. It would be very difficult, especially considering the difference in our bodies.
"Well, I might as well try" I said, and I jumped onto the roof of a house. The giant easily lifted the house off the ground, and I could hear the screams of the residents down below.
I continued running, aimed at its heart and fired—the bullet flew through the air but was stopped by the giant's massive chest.
I aimed at the giant's throat and fired, the giant quickly blocked the bullet with his huge hand. I felt that I was in danger if I stayed on top, so I slipped off his arm and jumped to the nearest house, which wouldn't break my legs when I landed.
I jumped down to the ground—before I could catch my breath, I saw another big shadow approaching me.
When I turned my head to the side, the giant threw the house—yes, the HOUSE—at me.
"Oh bloody hell—!" I immediately aimed at the house floating towards me.
A card floated and stuck in the ground an inch in front of me, and suddenly, a stone wall appeared from the ground. The house crashed into the stone wall instead, and I was surprised to see that the wall was strong enough to hold the entire house.
I turned and saw Alice smirking arrogantly—in her hand was a special limited edition strawberry parfait that was only sold today?!?!
I ran towards her, who was hiding behind a bean stalk, "Is this a reward for my hard work while you were gone?" I asked, my hand already reaching for the parfait.
Alice nodded, still smiling, "Of course, you really want this, don't you?" It's unusual for her to be this nice; usually, she'd take advantage of me after being kind.
But well, I don't care about that anymore!—I'd love to say that, but the giant pulled the root behind us, exposing our hiding spot.
