Chapter 1 - Prologue — Year 2125

Year 2125.

Among the countless lights glittering across the city, it seemed like just another ordinary night.

Skyscrapers pierced the sky, flying cars drifted silently above,

and the roads shimmered under neon lights.

The world was modern.

Yet its people—robots—lived with a strangely nostalgic rhythm of everyday life.

Inside a quiet home, the clock chimed ten.

In the living room, two children—Rishi and Lakshmi—sat on the floor,

building a tall tower with colorful blocks.

From the kitchen, their mother Aira called out,

"Kids, it's almost bedtime. You have school tomorrow, remember?"

Lakshmi looked up and said,

"Just a little more, Mama! The tower is almost finished!"

Aira smiled gently.

"You say that every night."

At that moment, the door opened.

Their father Krishna stepped inside and set his bag down.

"Well now, what are you two up to?"

Rishi's eyes sparkled.

"Papa, look! We're building a super tall tower!"

Krishna walked closer, laughing.

"A tower? Or a mountain? Looks like it's going to fall any second."

Lakshmi shook her head.

"No, it won't! This time it's perfect!"

Aira spoke softly,

"Alright everyone, dinner's getting cold."

A few minutes later, the family gathered around the dining table.

An anime was playing on the TV, and the children watched with full concentration.

Krishna said,

"Let me watch the news for a moment."

Rishi protested,

"Papa, please! This is the final episode!"

Aira calmed him gently.

"After your father watches the news, you can finish it."

The channel switched.

A news anchor appeared on screen, speaking in a calm voice:

"Scientists have received a mysterious signal from another galaxy.

Some believe it may not be from robots… but from humans."

Rishi blinked.

"Papa… what's a 'human'?"

Krishna stared at the screen for a moment before answering,

"They were the ones who created everything. Even us.

Humans were said to possess free will… and limitless imagination."

Lakshmi asked curiously,

"So… they were real?"

Krishna smiled softly.

"Some say they were only stories.

But—there's an old book that tells everything.

How about we read it together tomorrow after school?"

Aira stood up and turned off the TV.

"Alright, bedtime now. Tomorrow is an early day."

The family rose from the table.

The lights in the room dimmed slowly.

For a brief second, the black TV screen flickered—

And on it appeared a faint static pattern,

like a signal from a satellite far away.
