2:38 AM
The smell of medicine clung the dimly lit corridors of Tedavi hospital of Istanbul. There outside the ICU (Intense care unit) stood a flustered Nur. His hands clenched as he seemed to walk back and forth between the sterile marble floors.
His already hardened jaw tightened with every minute as nearby in the corner Cagan stood, watching him, his friend.
"You have to rest too...Nur" His voice hinted worry. Nur shot him a look, "H-How...?" he sighed running a hand through his hair. Do you know what she is going through in that room...? Nur's chests heaved making Cagan strode to him.
Cagan's hands hovered over his back, Stop it...sit down... Nur shakes his head* ATLEAST BE STRONG FOR THEM, FOR AYLIN, FOR AYSE...? Cagan tug at his shoulder blade.
Nur sighs* then his eyes flickered to the Cagan's phone, there on the call log was Defne, his wife. His hand then shot to him, patting Cagan's back, "Please, go attend to your family, I will be fine"... Cagan didn't say a word, he then gave a nod.
--Now with him gone, Nur's eyes flickered to the room. Then he leapt in closer, hands panted on either side of the door as watched a frail Ayse, his wife through a circle glass panels. Nur's heart clenched at how fragile he looked. How her clung to her damp face, how she lets out frail breath under the mechanism.
At that moment all I can wish was for the earth to swallow me, whole. For Allah (God) to take me...before I take myself...
Nur walks away from the door and the hospital. As soon as he stepped out--the cold night wind carried him. There he walks in the bustling streets of Istanbul. Absent-mindedly. Tears clung his vision-making the lights seemed to be nothing but a cluster.
The sound of people, the laughter children--All muffled to him.
He rubbed his eyes then glanced to his left, to the road were cars, then his eyes widened, there among the cars was a bike, a Corvo. There sat him and Ayse. Nur shook his head, of course it was all in his mind--yet...
He watched the phantom couple go, how Ayse held on to him, pressing herself against his back as if to anchor herself. How her silk-hair fluttered against the wind.
Nur began to walk like a wasted man. The top buttons to his office-white shirt were left open as he then wandered. Her honey-like voice rang through his mind.
How she had held him when he broke. Caressing his back as his mother did. His trembling hands went to his face, his breath staggered at how she pressed a kiss on his cheek. How her lips moved fervently against him.
Ah*...
"This will remind you off me"... she whispered. Nur's eyes flickered to hers, his lips carved into a smirk, well, what if I forget...? Ayse leaned in closer, "Then I will remind you silly"... She let out soft giggles as he then planted his head on her neck, leaning against her.
Nur now walked, endlessly. Under Istanbul's night sky. A-Allahim... a whisper broke form him. His vision then darkened as he then flopped to the ground.
the mundane world around him seemed to shrink, Nur's eyes then fluttered shut.
