Chapter 1 - Chapter – 1The sky had collapsed.

What was once calm and blue was now a strange mix of violet and red—like the color of an old wound.

Shubhu stood on the ruins of the city that once used to be alive. Buildings had crumbled, the roads were torn open, and strange vines had grown everywhere.

This was neither Earth nor Sattel anymore—it was a distorted fusion of both worlds, born from an unnatural union.

And all of it was his fault.

That thought never left him.

His experiment had caused this destruction—the merging of Earth and Sattel that created this disaster—and millions of lives were lost.

He had tried to play with the core forces of time and space, but failed to control them. The gods had cursed him for it, and the survivors—what few remained—knew him as the evil eye, the one responsible.

Perhaps they even hated him.

He had destroyed both worlds.

But for what?

Shubhu walked slowly, the broken stones crunching under his worn-out shoes. He had no sense of time anymore. Day and night had blended into each other.

Inside him, there was a strange pull, like an invisible thread tugging at his soul—calling him somewhere he couldn't name.

Cold wind swept through the deserted streets, carrying with it an unfamiliar stillness.

It felt as if the world was aware of his presence, watching him.

Every sound of his footsteps echoed back, deepening his loneliness.

And then he saw them.

At first, they were just faint glimmers at the edge of his vision.

But when he turned, they were clear—spirits, glowing softly amid the ruins.

They floated slightly above the ground, their forms blurry, like flames burning quietly in the air.

Shubhu froze.

Were they real?

Or had his mind shattered along with the world?

But as he watched, the glowing figures drifted closer, their light growing brighter.

One stopped right in front of him—just a small distance away.

He could feel its presence—gentle, warm, completely opposite of this broken, freezing world.

They didn't speak, yet somehow they made him feel something…

A connection.

We are here.

The thought wasn't his own, yet it was crystal clear.

Shubhu's heart began to race—not from fear, but from a strange sense of recognition.

These beings felt connected to him somehow, as if they had been waiting for him.

"Who… who are you?" he asked in a dry, cracked voice.

The spirit gave no verbal answer.

Its light pulsed slowly, matching the rhythm of his heartbeat.

The other spirits floated around him, watching him, almost expectant.

Images flickered through Shubhu's mind.

Were these spirits born from the catastrophe?

From the merging of Earth and Sattel?

And why were they looking at him?

You are not alone.

The thought struck him like lightning.

Not alone?

Shubhu let out a short, bitter laugh.

He had never been more alone.

The gods had abandoned him, and any survivors left probably hated him.

How could he not be alone?

But the spirits drifted closer, their glow soft and calming.

They encircled him—like a small pocket of warmth in this cold, broken world.

"Why… why are you here?" his voice barely emerged.

The closest spirit floated forward, its glow flickering gently.

It wasn't human, but there was something familiar in its presence.

We were born from the worlds.

Like you.

Shubhu frowned.

Like him?

He wasn't a being of light.

He was just a human—a scientist who tampered with forces far beyond his understanding.

And now he was suffering the consequences.

But deep down, he felt there was more to it.

His experiment wasn't just an accident—it was part of something far bigger, something connected to him.

The spirits seemed to sense his confusion.

Their glow shimmered softly, as if waiting for him to understand.

They didn't judge him.

They didn't hate him.

"You… don't hate me?" his voice trembled.

The spirit's glow came closer, casting a warm light across his face.

No.

We are with you.

Something inside Shubhu broke.

He fell to his knees—exhaustion, guilt, loneliness—all spilling out at once.

The spirits stayed around him, their gentle light comforting him.

For the first time since the destruction, a fragile spark of hope rose inside him.

Delicate, but real.

These spirits, born from the same chaos that destroyed everything—they didn't hate him.

They didn't fear him.

They were with him.

NOTE:

Did you feel it…?

Shubhu's story isn't just about a ruined world.

There is something deeper—something hidden beneath every crack in the sky and every echo inside him.

His past is still in shadows.

A scientist… yes.

But someone who managed to touch the core of time and space itself?

No ordinary human can do that.

The catastrophe that merged Earth and Sattel—

Was it truly an accident?

Or was Shubhu always connected to forces far beyond his understanding?

And these sparkling figures, these glowing souls…

Why do they pulse with his heartbeat?

Why do they not fear him, when the entire world does?

Readers may wonder:

Are these spirits really remnants of the destroyed worlds…

or are they the echoes of a higher realm—a realm Shubhu unknowingly belongs to?

The truth is simple but terrifying:

Shubhu feels a connection not because they were born from chaos—

but because he might be born from something even greater.

His past holds the key.

The worlds broke…

but maybe Shubhu was meant to cross into a third realm,

a place where the divine echoes originate.

"Divine Echoes" has only just begun.
