Chapter 4 - THE ORIGIN OF VAMPIRES

From the forbidden chronicles of the Bloodlight Era.

Long before vampires were monsters in stories,

they were kings, prophets, and fallen gods.

Their beginning was not a curse.

It was a choice.

---

THE FIRST VAMPIRE — VAROS THE ETERNAL

He was once a human king who desired immortality.

To achieve it, he performed the forbidden Vitra Ritual,

the blood-magic meant only for gods.

It granted him eternal life…

but stopped his heart.

His skin turned pale,

his eyes glowed like dying stars,

and hunger replaced his soul.

The world called him the first vampire.

He called himself perfect.

---

THE THREE BLOODLINES

When Varos rose, three kinds of vampires were born:

1. Crimson Nobles

Those who drank Varos's blood willingly.

They became beautiful, intelligent, immortal, feared and worshipped.

They ruled kingdoms in shadows.

2. Nightborn

Those who were bitten unwillingly.

They lost memories, humanity, and sanity.

Hungry creatures of the dark forests.

3. Ashfall

Rare vampires created through ancient magic experiments.

Their bodies smoke in sunlight,

and their blood burns like fire.

This bloodline disappeared…

or so history claims.

---

THE WAR OF SUN AND MOON

As vampires multiplied, humans panicked.

Priests called them demons.

Kings called them devils.

Scholars called them "the price of immortality."

The world split into two:

The Sun Order, human warriors of light

The Moon Covenant, the vampire nobility

For 100 years, the sky turned red,

forests burned,

cities vanished.

This was the era humans still whisper about—

The Scarlet Century.

---

THE FALL OF THE VAMPIRE EMPIRE

Varos's empire collapsed when he fought the Suntear Spear,

the human weapon made from pure dawn.

His wings burned.

His blood boiled.

But even as he fell,

he whispered:

> "If light wins today…

the next darkness will be born from humans."

History is still trying to understand those words.

---

THE SURVIVORS

After the fall, the surviving vampires faded into legend.

Some hid among humans.

Some slept underground.

Some blended with royal families.

Some created new identities every century.

Even today, it is said:

Wherever shadows move without wind,

a vampire is crossing between worlds.

---

THE NEW GENERATION OF VAMPIRES

The ancient ones were gods.

The modern ones are weaker — but more clever.

They can walk under clouds.

They can control their hunger.

Some can even live as humans.

But their eyes still glow under moonlight,

and their heart still beats only when they are near

someone whose blood calls to them.
