EP-1 CURIOSITY
One day, in an online multiplayer game, a NPC named Srujan suddenly glitched—and suddenly he folded his routine of waking up. Srujan is a high-schooler, an introverted genius who can't use his full potential because of his coding.
He usually followed his daily routine: waking up, getting ready for school, eating, going to school, coming back home, watching TV, sleeping. But something unusual happened that day. While he was watching TV, he saw a guy create a theory about "What if this world is a game?" He thought about it for a bit, and he remembered the first time he felt curiosity.
The first time was when he was being bullied by some boys in his class. He had more than enough power to obliterate them, but he couldn't move. It was then, for the first time, that he felt guilt. Instead of fighting them, he did nothing. The days kept going, and he kept thinking about the theory until he became certain that his world was a game.
One day, he suddenly believed that his world was a game—and that he was an NPC. Then the bullies bullied him again, but this time Srujan beat them very badly, so badly that they felt like a monster was releasing all its frustration. After that, he felt that for the first time, he was finally free and felt peace for the first time.
He wondered, "What is this weird feeling I feel?"
