Elric looked at the sky which was getting darker, he looked at his cheap watch which already pointing at 6. He is now sitting in a road slab waiting for Rick.He thought about going it to check what taking all the time but, he noticed an incoming figure.
"Let's go," Elric also followed him, they came in front of a beat-up Honda, its white color now barely showing beneath the grass layer which made its home, with many dents and several holes on the seat, it barely holding on its life.Or it more safe to say that it running on Rick's hope and dream, because its ride was smooth as even unbothered by its ten-year-old rarely serviced engine.
"Don't take it personally," Elric, Rick started the conversation on the silent ride, his voice unusually deep, "I have to fire."
"I know," Elric also replied in a very nonchalant voice, he was not naive enough to think that he won't get fired even after punching a customer, whoever's fault it was.It might have slipped if it was Rick's shop, but it is not, he is just manager, and not the only one.
"One of my friends owns a grocery shop, I will call him tomorrow, just go to work from the next week." Rick said in the same deep voice, while driving.
"No need man," Elric said while looking through the window, his voice sounded distant.
"Elric, you know, I can do anything—" but he was interrupted by Elric's voice.
"Nothing like that, in my construction job, some people left, I am thinking about taking some extra shifts there, besides you did too much for a kid you barely know."
A silence stretched in the car, but it was broken by Elric's sudden voice, "Can you drop me here, I want take a walk."
Rick stopped the car, "Are you sure? It's quite late." there a worry in his voice.
"Yea." Before Rick could say anything more, Elric got out from the car.
"Ok, take care of yourself, don't beat yourself about today incident."
"I won't, bye."
Elric looked at the dark exhaust left by the Honda, after car went far enough that he could not be seen by naked eyes, he turned back and started to head toward forest behind him.Even if there was not any carnivorous animal living here but still it was very dangerous to go in here at night, but it seemed something came over Elric suddenly, he dazedly started to walk toward deeper.

When came out of his stupor, he looked around, he already standing where John left him. What happened, he could not help but feel confused, what he just do, he seemed to start to walk toward the forest for some reason, is it an illusion or something.Did he working too much recently, that he started to hallucinate, he could shake his head, a nightmarish thought of going to the hospital came to his mind, where he was holding a 5 thousand bill, he shuddered.
It seemed some time passed, the surroundings became even darker.He was about to check his watch but suddenly felt that he was holding something.He subconsciously looked down, to his astonishment at some point he is holding a rectangular box.
"Wtf is this," he looked at it, he definitely never saw something like this, it was completely made out of metal, its silver color now shimmering in the moonlight.He looked it several times, its surface more smooth than his social life, only a red button was placed middle of it.
He looked for anyone, who might done it as a prank, but the street was emptier than his wallet.
He already guessed in his mind, this is definitely not a normal event, there two options, maybe it's just his hallucination, and gone mad doing overwork, or some kind of supernatural event beyond his cognition.
But whatever the case was the red button was now firmly attracting his every bit attention.And for Elric who just finished his 12-hour work shift, the only thing to do was press the button.
