His spiritual sense, which had been reduced to little more than ordinary mortal awareness just hours ago, now stretched outward in a wide, clear radius around the massive tree. Every leaf rustling in the wind, every shift of air, every distant, heavy footstep within that range registered in his mind with quiet precision. He could even feel a large beetle crawling on a branch thirty feet below.
