Chapter 54 - Chapter 54

Chapter 54 when two worlds unite

Jay's POV

After chaos we somehow got into the car. Alex driving, me and Keifer on the backseat. Keifer... Being himself placed his hand on my tight, making me freeze.

Alex: Jay.... You okay?

Jay: yeah

Alex: tell your face please then...

Jay: was that supposed to be an insult?!

Alex: no... Never...-in the tone that said it defenetly was-

Keifer: don't you dare insult her

Alex: what did you say protective boyfriend?

My cheeks burned... Not only from Alex's comment but from Keifer's reaction and his hand on my tight as well

We arrived in a half hour to the café. Everyone was already there as I saw... There was my group sitting closely together... Ci-n, Rakki, Felix, Kit, Calix, Mica, Denzel, Grace and Maya while Yuri was in the middle of everything suspiciously close to Maya

Then there was Keifer's group... There were around the same number of them as my group... They were chaotic like my friend group, but with more boys...

Keifer: are you going to keep staring or go in?

Jay: go in?

Keifer: then let's go

Jay: okay.

Keifer led me into the café and as we walked in, every head turned and HELL BROKE LOOSE

Maya: Jaaaaaay!!!!!

To Maya's shout every single head snapped to me. Didn't turn, snapped.

Maya immeadiatly stood up and sprinted... Or at least tried... She trippen in Yuri's leg and almost fell down, but luckily Yuri quickly reacted and caught her. He helped her up and then Maya started sprinting again.

Maya: tornado girl!

She souted as she ran into my arms like a kid welcoming her mother.

Keifer's friends looked like someone handed them the world's biggest puzzle to solve. Only Maya Keifer Yuri and I knew where the name came from.

"Coffee fairy" i greet back.

Maya finally pulled back, hands still gripping my shoulders like she needed physical proof I was real.

Maya: "You look the same."

Jay: "You say that like it's an insult."

Maya: "No, I say that like I expected CEO wrinkles."

I snorted.

Behind her, everyone was staring. My people. My chaos. And then… Keifer's chaos, watching from a safe distance like they were witnessing a live documentary titled What Happens When Two Friend Groups Collide.

Rakki leaned closer and whispered, loudly, "So… is that him?"

I followed her gaze.

Keifer was standing a little behind me, hands in his pockets, posture relaxed but eyes alert — like a man walking into enemy territory with confidence issues he absolutely did not have.

Jay: "That's him."

Maya smiled slowly. Dangerously.

Grace: "Oh, I already like him."

Keifer chose that moment to step forward.

Keifer: "Hi. I'm Keifer." he said introducing himself to everyone.

Mica gasped dramatically. "Oh my God, he talks."

Yuri choked on his drink.

Keifer blinked once. "…Yes?"

She ignored him dragged me toward the table. "Sit. You're not allowed to leave. You vanished for months."

Jay: "I was busy—"

Rakki: "—breaking hearts?"

Felix: "—running companies?"

Kit: "—dating billionaires?"

Calix, calmly: "—making questionable life choices?"

I dropped into the chair. "Wow. No 'hi, we missed you.' Just violence."

Grace smiled warmly, one hand on her stomach. "Hi, we missed you."

I immediately stood up again and hugged her. "You're glowing."

Grace: "I'm exhausted."

Densel: "She cries at commercials now."

Grace: "They're emotional."

Across the table, Keifer was still standing — until Cin leaned back in his chair and evaluated him like a flight checklist.

Cin: "You the Watson?"

Keifer nodded. "Yes."

Cin: "You hurt her?"

Keifer didn't hesitate. "I did."

The table went silent.

My heart skipped.

Keifer continued, voice steady. "And I regret it. Every day."

Felix leaned forward. "Bold strategy."

Rakki: "Risky."

Kit: "Respectable."

Calix nodded once. "Proceed."

Keifer exhaled like he'd just passed a test.

Then chaos resumed immediately.

Josh from Keifer's side leaned over.

"Okay but can we talk about how terrifying this table is?"

Drew squinted at Felix. "Are you… the basketball guy?"

Felix smiled politely. "Depends. Are you the gambling guy?"

Drew grinned. "We should talk."

Blaster was already tapping rhythmically on the table. "This café has terrible acoustics."

Eren: "You say that about every place."

Blaster: "Because I'm always right."

Rory and Edrix were sitting side by side, whispering intensely.

Maya leaned toward me. "Why do those two look like they could shut down a government?"

Jay: "Because they can."

Edrix looked up. "Allegedly."

Rory grinned. "For legal reasons."

Alex finally sat down beside Honey, who immediately slid a drink toward him.

Honey: "Hydrate."

Alex: "You're bossy."

Honey: "You love it."

I watched Keifer take the seat beside me, naturally, like it had always been his place.

He leaned in. "Are they always like this?"

Jay: "This is them on good behavior."

Maya overheard. "So you're officially back together?"

Keifer answered before I could. "Yes."

I blinked.

Maya squealed. Grace clapped. Felix fist-bumped Kit. Cin nodded approvingly like a proud uncle.

Rakki raised an eyebrow. "Define officially."

Keifer turned to me. "I asked. She said yes."

I felt my face heat. "You didn't have to say it like that."

He smiled softly. "I wanted to."

Maya wiped fake tears. "High school Jay would never believe this."

Jay: "High school Jay had bad taste."

Keifer: "Rude."

Jay: "Accurate."

Laughter rippled around the table.

For the first time in a long time, it felt easy. Like the worlds I'd been balancing finally stopped pulling me apart.

Two groups. One table. One life.

Keifer squeezed my hand under the table, subtle, grounding.

I looked around — at my friends, his friends, the noise, the chaos, the warmth.

And thought—

Yeah.

This was worth everything.
