A lively atmosphere filled the entire Angel's Share. Even though the two guests of honor today were Bonanus and Noelle, people still preferred to gather around Noelle.
That didn't mean they didn't like Bonanus. Everyone at the party was happy to make new friends. But since they were strangers, a quick greeting and a familiar face was enough.
It was only natural. Between acquaintances and strangers, people would always choose acquaintances.
Bonanus didn't mind at all. In fact, she was very happy. As long as cute Noelle kept that sweet smile on her face, that was all that mattered.
Besides, these people were basically "NPCs." Whether she knew them or not didn't really matter. It was better to get to know the characters from the game.
That being said, she was surprised that the people Noelle had helped actually brought gifts.
In Bonanus's impression, these people were just freeloaders. They always dumped their problems on Noelle, never paid her, and acted like it was their right.
She didn't know if she should call them lazy or something else.
Even though trainee knight Noelle was happy to help them without expecting anything in return, the people receiving her help should have had some sense of gratitude.
But looking at them now, their behavior wasn't too bad. At least they came with gifts. They might have had other motives, but it wasn't a big deal.
In a corner of the Angel's Share
Bonanus had grabbed a chair and a round table from somewhere. She sat there by herself, quietly eating meat from a plate.
Her cheeks were puffed out like a blue squirrel with two horns. Well, those horns were just "decorations" here in Mondstadt.
"I miss my tail and claws." Bonanus muttered to herself. She looked at her pale hands, then glanced behind her.
Suddenly not having those things felt strange. But it was just an illusion cast by Venti. They should come back once she returned to Liyue Harbor.
She took another bite of meat and a sip of juice, then scanned the party crowd. Noelle was surrounded in the middle, looking a bit overwhelmed.
Noelle held her juice glass in both hands, not knowing how to respond to all the compliments. Her face was red as an apple.
Bonanus didn't need to rescue her. A certain dark-skinned man would handle it. He was doing Noelle a big favor.
"So cute." Bonanus swallowed her meat. Noelle looked so adorable like this. It made you want to tease her.
She sat there for a while longer.
Between eating meat, drinking juice, and smiling back at strangers greeting her, she repeated the same cycle over and over. She felt like she was going to get fat.
If she ever got as big as Azhdaha one day, Xiao and her brothers would probably be shocked.
"Excuse me, are you Miss Fashui from Liyue Harbor?"
Just as Bonanus was about to pull out her book, "Rex Lapis Falls in Love with Me, But I'm a Man!", a cheerful voice spoke to her.
Hearing the voice, Bonanus frowned slightly. Hey, don't interrupt my important business.
Why did people in Teyvat always show up at times like this? Every time she was bored or busy doing something, someone would suddenly pop up. It wasn't the first time. She remembered clearly.
But after taking a closer look at who was greeting her, her frown relaxed. A smile spread across her face.
This person was familiar. It was a girl with chestnut-colored hair, always tied with a red bunny ear bow on top of her head. That was her signature feature.
She wore clothes in red tones with white and brown accents. A pair of goggles hung around her neck, which she put on when flying.
Two pouches hung from her belt. Her Vision was attached to the left pouch. The red feather on it came from a monster bird she had caught on a mission.
She wore red thigh-high socks and white boots. Combined with her hot pants, it created the classic "absolute territory" look.
"Hello, Outrider Amber. Is there something I can help you with?" Bonanus smiled at the girl before her.
Yes, the person who had come to greet her was Amber, the one she had been wanting to meet. She didn't expect this girl to approach her first.
"You know me?" Amber was surprised. This cute stranger actually knew her.
"Of course. Mondstadt's flight champion. The enthusiastic girl in red. How could I not know you?" Bonanus took a sip of her juice and smiled.
Not just a flight champion. Also the person with the most revoked flying licenses in Mondstadt.
"So I'm really that famous!" Amber was delighted. When she saw this girl walk in with Noelle, she had noticed her right away.
She was so pretty and cute. It was hard not to notice.
And since she was with Noelle, she was probably the Liyue merchant who had been attacked.
Such an experience must have left some scars on the girl's heart. Amber felt she should offer some comfort.
"Of course. I know a thing or two about all of you." Bonanus said casually, setting down her juice glass with an interested look.
"Not just you. Them too." As she said this, she pointed a finger at the ceiling. She was being mysterious on purpose.
"Them?" Amber was confused. What did she mean? Who was "them"? This person seemed very mysterious.
How interesting.
"You don't need to know. You won't need to anyway." Bonanus shrugged casually. She had said those words on a whim. There was no deeper meaning.
To be honest, she just thought it was fun.
"Okay, I understand." Amber nodded cheerfully. Everyone had their secrets. If someone didn't want to share, that was fine.
She wasn't the type to pry. That would be rude.
"Anyway, I came to apologize. The place where you were attacked was in my patrol area. I'm sorry I couldn't get there in time." Amber rubbed her head apologetically.
At the time, she had been busy destroying a Hilichurl camp. She hadn't even noticed what was happening elsewhere. That was really careless. Next time, she would patrol the area more thoroughly.
If there was an emergency, she would be able to respond immediately.
"No need to apologize. Noelle and that guy Kaeya already came by. I can't handle that many apologies." Bonanus joked.
The Cavalry Captain himself came to apologize to a merchant. Who knew what he was up to.
"Huh? Senior Kaeya came?" Amber rubbed her head again. Why didn't Senior Kaeya say anything?
"I'm sorry. I hope I'm not bothering you." Amber said apologetically. She felt like she had interrupted something.
"Not at all. On the contrary, I'm happy to meet you. Who would say no to another friend, right?" Bonanus smiled and reached out her right hand.
Amber nodded in agreement. You could never have too many friends. She reached out her hand too, and they shook lightly.
This simple gesture might not have seemed special, but it caught the attention of two other ladies in the tavern. Both were mature women with impressive figures.
"Hey, Jean. The cute girl over there with Amber is that merchant who was attacked."
