Evan Truman is what you could describe as the perfect student.
He's good-looking, tall, smart, strong, and all around just candy for the eyes.
On top of this he has his own Innate Skill, Flexibility.
His skill allows him to freely move his stat points to whichever stats he chooses, and with his backing from the Truman family he has lots of stats to work with.
Despite being number one and kind to all students in my school, he seems to love to torment me.
Perhaps it's because i'm the only other student with an Innate Skill, maybe he feels threatened.
"Hello Evan" I say in a cheerful tone, knowing the situation is anything but.
"You didn't answer my question, what are you doing with that poster."
I pull the now crumpled paper from my pocket and show it to Evan.
"It's just one of those studying propaganda signs" I say, trying to relieve myself of any crime I may have committed.
"Well, you should know not to mess with the posters on the bulletin board, someone probably put lots of effort into it."
He's right, tearing down the poster was pretty inconsiderate, but did he really need to make a scene in the middle of the hallway?
By now, a small crowd had gathered around us, two top students, one of which is essentially a model, were in a verbal confrontation.
"Sorry Evan, you're right, I should've left it up, but something about the poster felt wrong so…"
"Making excuses now are we? Well let's see if you can excuse this!"
Next thing I know I see a hand flying toward my face, I duck to try and dodge but there's no need to.
Someone had stopped Evan's hand before it could hit my face, my homeroom teacher: Mr. Connolly.
Evan lowered his hand and bowed his head, "Good morning Mr. Connolly, I was just trying to tell him off about taking a sign down from the bulletin board."
Mr. Connolly then shoots me a look, "Did you really do that?"
I slightly look away, "Yes, I did, here's the poster."
Mr. Connolly glances at the poster, and squints. "This is just a blank sheet of paper"
I tilt my head, confused, "What do you mean, if clearly says words right there in the middle."
Mr. Connolly shakes his head, "Nope, it's definitely blank, what do you think Evan?"
He hands the poster to Evan who gives it a quick up down, "Yes sir, it's definitely blank."
Evan hand the poster back to Mr. Connolly who then hands it back to me.
"You did good to take this down, it's just taking up space."
"And as for you Evan, I applaud your attempt at stopping a trouble maker but let's make it less violent next time."
Mr. Connolly then walks to his classroom and calls out from the doorway, "Well what are you two doing? Get to class!"
I start to leave but Evan needs to have the last word, "You got lucky this time, but trust me, I won't let a troublemaking student like you off so easy."
Great, just what I needed to start the final week of school, a threat from the top student.
