Chapter 2 - Chapter 2:That unforgettable first night!

The quiet street was wrapped in moonlight.

The sounds of the city felt distant now—no laughter, no passing cars—only the faint rustle of leaves and the lingering warmth left behind by their shared steps.

Takahashi could still feel the echo of Chihiro's words from moments ago, hanging in the air between them like an unfinished sentence.

"Do you want to become a real man?"

His chest felt tight, as if something long sealed inside him had been struck directly.

This wasn't how he imagined meeting her again—not after years of thinking she belonged only to his memories.

And yet, here she was. Close enough to touch. Close enough to shake the quiet, ordinary life he had built.

"Y-you… what did you just say?"

Takahashi stammered, his face burning as if he had a fever.

Chihiro simply looked at him for a moment, the corner of her lips lifting as though she were holding back a laugh.

"I was just teasing. Your reactions are still as cute as they were back in high school."

Her words were light, like a passing breeze—

but to Takahashi's heart, it felt like a fatal blow.

She turned as if to leave.

And yet, something inside Takahashi snapped awake—

something he couldn't control.

The next second, his hand shot out and grabbed hers.

"Chihiro… let me… become a man… just once more."

His voice trembled, but it carried weight.

Chihiro stopped.

Even the night wind seemed to hold its breath.

"…Takahashi."

She turned back. Her expression was no longer playful—there was surprise there, mixed with something she couldn't quite name.

Then, very slowly, her lips curved upward.

Not a teasing smile.

A smile that looked as though she had been waiting for those words.

"If that's what you want—"

She squeezed his hand gently.

"—then come with me."

"C-come… where?"

"My place."

"EHHHH!?"

---

Chihiro's Room

Chihiro opened the door to her small apartment.

A soft scent greeted Takahashi—familiar yet new.

It was hard to describe: something sweet like fruit, mixed with the shampoo she used back in high school.

He stood frozen at the doorway for a long moment.

Not out of hesitation—

but because the room felt so much like her.

Neat and clean, with a touch of playfulness and warmth.

A small desk lamp cast a gentle yellow glow, wrapping the entire room in a quiet embrace.

"I'm going to take a shower. You can sit on the bed for now."

She said it casually, then disappeared into the bathroom. The door clicked shut.

Silence fell instantly.

Takahashi sat on the bed as though he had touched something forbidden.

Chihiro's bed.

It was soft. Warm. Filled with her scent.

The urge to bury his face in the pillow and scream overwhelmed him.

"Calm down… calm down…"

He slapped his cheeks lightly.

But the more he tried to calm himself, the clearer the image in his head became—

Chihiro behind the frosted glass.

Wet hair. A faint silhouette.

The steady sound of running water stretching his heartbeat to its limit.

This is bad… I can't take this.

---

The Sound of the Door

The bathroom door opened with a soft click.

Chihiro stepped out, her hair still damp, wearing an oversized T-shirt that reached her mid-thigh.

Just that single moment made time catch in Takahashi's throat.

"What are you staring so hard for?" she teased.

"N-no… it's nothing!"

He replied quickly.

"Mm. Good. Then go take a shower."

He passed by her, turning his face away to hide his burning embarrassment.

Behind him, Chihiro watched with a knowing smile—one that clearly said she understood exactly what was going through his head.

---

When They Sat on the Bed Together

After his shower, Takahashi returned to the room.

Chihiro was sitting on the bed, hugging a pillow. Her damp hair fell loosely over one shoulder, and her gaze toward him was no longer the carefree look of their school days.

It was more mature.

More inviting.

And laced with something dangerously close to longing.

"Takahashi," she called softly.

"…Y-yeah?"

"You're so nervous I can hear your breathing."

He sat down beside her.

Close enough that their shoulders brushed.

Her skin was warm.

Her breath grazed his ear like silk.

"Y-you're sure about this?" Takahashi asked, unable to meet her eyes.

Chihiro didn't answer.

She simply raised her hand and gently touched his cheek.

Just that touch sent heat surging through his entire body.

"I was waiting to see what you'd do," she whispered.

"And now… I don't want to step back anymore."

Neither of them moved first.

Yet somehow, their lips found each other.

A trembling, shy kiss—

filled with emotions that had been sealed away for years.

Takahashi felt heat race up his spine, while Chihiro instinctively clutched his shirt, as if afraid he might disappear.

Then came the second kiss.

Softer.

Deeper.

Longer.

No words were needed.

Both of them understood exactly what they were stepping into.

---

An Intimacy Beyond Words

Takahashi pulled her into his arms.

Chihiro held him just as tightly, her hands trembling—but never pulling away.

Waves of emotion crashed together:

longing, desire, nervousness, fear, happiness—blending into one.

"Takahashi…"

"…Yeah?"

"Don't leave me halfway through, okay?"

"Never," he answered instantly, his voice firm.

She smiled and closed her eyes.

Moments later, the room sank into a special kind of silence—

one that only exists between two adults sharing something deeply intimate.

Dim warm light.

Intertwined breaths.

Hands holding onto each other—

There was no need to describe what happened next.

Everyone would understand.

---

After That Night

They lay side by side, a thin blanket pulled up to their chests.

Chihiro turned toward him, propping her head on her hand.

"Honestly… you look clueless, but you've got guts."

"C-can you not say things like that?"

Takahashi blushed, wishing the bed would swallow him whole.

She giggled, then reached out and tugged him closer.

"Hey, don't rush to get dressed. I want to… look at you a little longer."

"Chi–Chihiro!"

"What? I let you look at me too."

She puffed out her lips playfully.

Unable to win against her, Takahashi lay back down, letting her rest her head on his shoulder.

Her warmth slowly weighed down his eyelids.

In the darkness, Chihiro whispered softly, thinking he was already asleep:

"Takahashi… it's been so long since someone held onto me like this."

He tightened his grip on her hand and replied drowsily,

"I'm here. I'm not going anywhere."

She smiled and wrapped her arms around him.

That night, they slept in each other's embrace—

no distance left between them.

Only two once-empty hearts, slowly opening their doors to one another.
