Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Uchiha Qingming

 Inside the room.

Qingming slowly awoke, his gaze sweeping around him, his eyes filled with confusion.

  'Where am I?'

The thought had barely formed when a flood of fragmented memories rushed into his mind.

  'Ninja. Konoha. Uchiha.'

Qingming quickly sorted through his memories, the familiar yet unfamiliar words gradually helping him understand his current situation.

  Undoubtedly, he had transmigrated.

According to the memories in his mind, the original owner of this body shared the same name as him, but was a member of the Konoha Uchiha clan.

Uchiha Qingming was just ten years old this year, a fourth year student at the Ninja Academy.

The reason he was able to usurp this body was simple: the other person had just finished school that afternoon when he suddenly received news of his parents' deaths.

Overwhelmed with grief, he accidentally died.

And then, he became the new owner of this body.

  However, none of that mattered.

What mattered was that this world was the infamous ninja world, and the ninja world during the Third Shinobi World War.

One phrase perfectly described this period: human life was cheap.

Not only were ordinary people living in poverty, but even high ranking ninjas were living in constant fear during this chaotic time.

This made Qingming feel even less secure.

Even within the strongest village, Konoha, this was the case.

Moreover, the original owner was from the disastrous Uchiha clan, who suffered the annihilation of their clan after the Fourth Shinobi World War, truly a case of misfortunes never coming singly

"Sigh! I thought dying from overwork was tragic enough, but this is what happened next"

  Qingming was speechless.

  What?

 You mean supernatural power?

Please, Qingming had already experienced it. Even after such a severe shock, the original owner still hadn't awakened the Sharingan.

This aptitude couldn't be described as bad, it was practically garbage.

  As for chakra?

  Well, there is some.

  But so what?

In the end, the ninja world is all about bloodline. Whoever's bloodline is closer to Kaguya Otsutsuki has a higher ceiling.

Otherwise, at most, they will be like Might Guy, a flash in the pan.

Qingming has no idea of saving the world.

He is very clear about his own understanding. He may have some ability, but that's all. It is almost impossible for him to walk a different path like Orochimaru.

"If only I had a cheat"

After thinking for a long time, Qingming could not think of any good solution and could only say helplessly.

However, the moment he finished speaking, a light blue semi transparent panel appeared in his field of vision.

  [Name: Uchiha Qingming

  Age: 10 years old

  Physique: 5

  Spirit: 7

  Chakra: 60 (125)

  Bloodline: Sharingan - Unawakened (51/100)

  Skills: None]

  "This is the system panel"

Qingming sat up straight, and the negative thoughts in his mind were swept away.

He wasn't one to give up easily, but the situation just now was so difficult to break that he inevitably became discouraged.

But now although he wasn't entirely sure what this panel was for, at least there was some hope, wasn't there

His gaze swept across the panel. Name and age were just basic information, nothing special.

But there were physique and spirit.

The former represented his physical potential, including but not limited to physical recovery, nerve reaction speed, muscle density, bone strength, and everything else related to the body.

The latter represented his mental potential.

For ordinary people, these two values were around three points; anything above three indicated the potential to become a ninja.

His physique was five points, and his spirit was seven, which seemed decent, but not really.

At this age, five points in physique was indeed good among ordinary students, but don't forget, the original owner inherited the excellent bloodline of the Uchiha clan, making it somewhat low.

As for spirit, seven points was indeed not low, but Qingming estimated that his arrival had boosted this attribute; otherwise, it would probably only be around five points.

Otherwise, it wouldn't explain why the other party hadn't awakened the Sharingan.

To say that the original owner had no feelings for his parents would be utter nonsense.

Didn't you see how heartbroken he was upon learning of their sacrifice, dying of grief? How could he not have genuine feelings

Even so, the Sharingan's awakening level was barely over half, which can only be explained by the body's extremely poor aptitude.

However, this trouble now falls on Qingming.

After thinking for a while, Qingming couldn't find a good solution and could only put it aside for the time being.

His gaze fell on the skill panel, which was completely empty.

Logically, having absorbed the memories of his predecessor, he should have at least a few skills, but the panel was blank.

Although Uchiha Qingming's aptitude wasn't great, he still knew the most basic Three Basic Techniques, which puzzled him.

If it weren't for the chakra flowing through Qingming's meridians, he would have thought those memories were fake.

'Uh, could it be because I didn't personally practice'

Thinking this to himself, Qingming stood up and, following his memory, slowly formed the three hand seals 未 巳 寅 while gathering his chakra, attempting to cast the Shadow Clone Technique.

However, after depleting his chakra, nothing happened.

  Wait a minute

Qingming's gaze sharpened as he looked at the skill panel. It distorted, finally displaying a line of text: Shadow Clone Technique lv0 (1/100)

"So it's because I haven't tried it myself"

Looking at the newly appeared skill, Qingming muttered to himself, then looked at the level and number.

If he wasn't mistaken, this should be the proficiency level.

With that thought, Qingming gathered his chakra again and, as before, formed the hand seals to cast the Shadow Clone Technique.

  Unsurprisingly, he failed again.

  However, Qingming showed no impatience.

The reason was simple: the number after Shadow Clone Technique had changed in the skill panel, from lv0 (1/100) to lv0 (3/100).

Based on this, Qingming could basically conclude that this was the proficiency system.

As for why he gained two proficiency points this time, Qingming guessed it was related to the memories in his mind.

At this moment, he was essentially regaining the power he once possessed, hence the unstable increase in proficiency.

  Verification was simple.

Qingming took a deep breath, calming his agitated mind, and then tried his best to recall the memories of his predecessor practicing the Shadow Clone Technique, beginning to recreate it.

A few seconds later, a cloud of chakra smoke appeared briefly, then quickly disappeared.

  The Shadow Clone Technique failed.

However, the proficiency increased by three points Shadow Clone Technique lv0 (6/100)

  Clearly, his guess was correct.

In this way, he could quickly materialize everything his predecessor possessed in the shortest amount of time, thus concealing his abnormality.

It should be noted that the ninja world was not lacking in mind reading and mind controlling ninjutsu; if he slipped up, Qingming didn't think he could escape the ANBU's interrogation.

Although the chances of the ANBU noticing him were very small, it was always better to be cautious.
