Chapter 305 - Chapter 306: Fiona, You’re a Bitch

The Police Station.

Following procedure, Monica had to empty her pockets for booking.

Monica, who had been cursing non-stop the whole ride over, continued to spew profanities as she slapped her belongings onto the counter.

Then.

Tony and his partner's eyes went wide.

Because Monica had just pulled out a significant stash of pills and several joints.

Monica was so manic and high on adrenaline that she didn't even realize the problem.

Tony looked at Monica and honestly thought this woman was unbelievable.

By laying those drugs and joints out in plain sight, the nature of this situation had just changed completely. It just got a hell of a lot more serious.

Tony felt a headache coming on. He glanced at his partner.

His partner knew all about Tony's pathetic history with Fiona. Seeing Tony look at him, he guessed what Tony was thinking. He immediately subtly pointed at the surveillance camera in the corner.

The message was clear: The drugs are on camera. We can't hide this.

Tony gave a helpless, bitter smile and abandoned the thought. He said to his partner, "You handle it."

"You got it," the partner replied, understanding the situation. Then, because Monica was still ranting, he had to shout over her. "Monica Gallagher! Shut up! Tell me, what is the deal with these drugs?"

Monica was startled by the shouting. She blinked, looked down at the drugs she had just emptied from her pockets, and instantly panicked. "I don't know! Those aren't mine..."

Tony's partner: "???"

Just then.

Dexter, Bianca, and Carl walked into the station, bringing Peg with them.

It didn't take long.

Dexter assessed the situation and almost burst out laughing.

Monica, you really are a special kind of talent, Dexter thought with a grin.

Within minutes.

Despite her endless denials, Monica was slapped with an additional charge of possession of a controlled substance and was hauled off by Tony to the holding cells.

Meanwhile, Tony's partner started processing Peg.

Peg's situation was unique. Even though technically she threw a drink in Monica's face—which counts as assault—the police really didn't want to book her.

If they locked her up and she died overnight...

Heh.

It would be a massive liability for the station and a huge headache for Tony and his partner.

Because of this, and the fact that cops have a lot of discretion with petty crimes...

basically, after taking a quick statement and getting her contact info, they told Peg she was free to go. They'd be in touch if anything came up.

Hearing this, Carl breathed a massive sigh of relief. Without wasting a second, he started wheeling Peg toward the exit to take her home.

As for Monica...

Normally, Carl might have cared a little. But right now, Peg had been beaten up, and Peg was dying of cancer... Carl didn't have the emotional bandwidth to give a damn about Monica.

Just then.

Fiona, holding Liam, finally arrived and rushed into the station.

She spotted Peg's group immediately. Her eyes turned cold, but she looked away quickly and made a beeline for Tony's partner. She asked urgently, "Monica Gallagher. Has bail been set?"

Tony's partner, who knew exactly how much this bitch had tortured Tony, didn't have a shred of goodwill toward Fiona. He shook his head bluntly, not offering a hint of friendliness. "No bail. She caught a possession charge."

Fiona felt like she'd been struck by lightning. She was stunned. "Possession? What are you talking about? It was just a small bar fight!"

Tony's partner didn't have the patience to explain it to her. "Sorry, I'm busy. Go ask Tony."

Dropping that line, he walked away.

Fck you, Fiona thought. She could tell the cop didn't like her. Her expression turned sour, and she mouthed a silent curse before rushing off to find Tony.

Dexter watched from the side, practically losing his mind with joy.

He couldn't help it.

This sht was just too funny.

Fiona called the cops intending to send Peg back to prison. Instead, she managed to get Monica thrown in jail.

Haha.

It was comedy gold.

Peg was laughing too. She was having a great time.

"That beating was actually worth it," Peg said, tilting her head back and grinning at Dexter.

Dexter nodded in agreement.

The four of them left the police station and headed back to 2114 North Wallace.

---

Inside the Station.

Fiona found Tony, her face full of urgency. Immediately, and almost instinctively, she adopted her usual entitled attitude. "Tony, we need to talk privately."

Tony didn't want to talk privately.

The truth was, ever since that night Fiona treated him like garbage, he had given up on the deal—the one where she agreed to be his girlfriend for a month.

"Monica had a lot of drugs on her. She pulled them out herself. The cameras caught everything. I can't fix this," Tony said, shaking his head.

Fiona didn't believe him. She was sure Tony was just retaliating for her attitude the other night. Suppressing her anger, she tried to switch to a softer, apologetic tone—playing the victim. "Tony, I was going through some stuff that night. I didn't mean to treat you that way. Let's just talk privately. I know you can fix this."

Hearing those words.

To be honest, getting an explanation like that... Tony wavered for a split second.

But then, remembering how Fiona had treated him over and over again, he squashed that flickering hope immediately. He shook his head. "I really can't help you with this."

After speaking, Tony turned to walk away.

Fiona started to panic and get angry. She suddenly reached out and grabbed Tony's arm. "Tony! We've known each other for years! Don't be like this. That's my mom! She can't go to prison. She's bipolar—she'll die in there!"

Tony stopped. He stared at Fiona for two long seconds. "Come with me."

Fiona heard this and thought her manipulation had worked. She quickly followed him.

They went to a quiet corner outside the main bullpen.

Tony looked at Fiona for another two seconds. Even though a part of him still held onto the past, he decided it was time to say what needed to be said.

"Fiona, I liked you. I liked you for a lot of years."

"But a few days ago, I finally realized... you don't give a damn about me."

"I took all that time off work to drive to Canada to take care of Lip for you. And when Lip got back, how did you treat me?"

"Over the years, how many times have I looked out for your family?"

"Fiona, you are a bitch."

"So, regarding this... even if I could help you, I wouldn't."

"We're done."

Having said his piece in one breath, Tony turned and walked away. He felt instantly lighter. He felt good.

Fiona never expected Tony to say something like that. She was dumbfounded. She stood there frozen until Tony was almost back inside the station before she snapped out of it.

And as soon as she did...

Her reaction was typical for someone who thinks the world revolves around them. Being called a bitch by her loyal lapdog Tony? She couldn't handle it.

She spun around, furious, and screamed at his back, "Tony! Fck you!"

Hearing this, Tony stopped. He turned his head, smiled at Fiona, and said one word.

"Bitch!"

With that simple word, Tony said goodbye to his years of unrequited love—and his life as a doormat.

Tony went back into the station.

Fiona stood frozen in place, her body shaking with uncontrollable rage.
