Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: My Youth Is Just As Important As My Chastity

Tendo Keigon quickly left Teiko.

Teiko hadn't started school yet; the new semester was a week away.

Having settled the issue of schooling, Tendo Keigon faced another problem.

"Where am I going to get money?"

"Looks like I can only work part-time."

Part-time work culture is quite popular in Japan.

Kids start work-study programs in junior high. Whenever you spend money, young waiters are everywhere.

Just as he was thinking this, Tendo Keigon saw a recruitment notice posted at a coffee shop.

He walked straight in.

"Welcome! Do you have a reservation, sir?"

As soon as he entered, a young lady of about 18 greeted him politely.

Tendo Keigon stood with his hands in his pockets, glanced around the surroundings, and nodded in satisfaction seeing the environment was quite nice.

"I saw the recruitment notice at the door. I'm here for an interview."

Interview?

The waitress looked at him with a strange expression.

Tendo Keigon's look—dragging and arrogant—made him resemble a domineering second-generation rich kid, not a working stiff.

After all, who wears such cool sunglasses to a coffee shop interview?

However, she politely led Tendo Keigon inside.

"For an interview, you need the landlady's approval."

"Please follow me."

"Okay, thanks."

Tendo Keigon followed the waitress to the back kitchen of the coffee shop.

Although it was a coffee shop, they couldn't just sell coffee and nothing else, right?

"Landlady, someone is here for an interview!"

The landlady turned her head upon hearing this and saw a handsome figure!

Even with sunglasses on, her years of experience allowed her to tell at a glance that this was a devastatingly handsome young boy.

"I..."

"Take off the sunglasses and let me see."

"Ah, oh?"

Tendo Keigon complied, taking off his sunglasses with a dashing motion, revealing a pair of sky-blue eyes.

Originally looking like a cynical rich kid, he instantly transformed into an elegant noble.

"Okay, I..."

"Passed!"

The landlady shoved the waitress aside and walked directly over, staring seriously at Tendo Keigon's face.

"Passed?"

"Yes, passed. Start working tomorrow!"

Is it that casual?

Tendo Keigon complained internally, but said, "Don't you need to test my professional skills?"

"Can you make coffee?"

"No!"

"It doesn't matter. If you can't, you can learn slowly. By the way, what's your name?"

"Zhou... Tendo Keigon!"

"Tendo Keigon. Good name, domineering!"

Tendo Keigon: "..."

There were even more things to complain about now.

Speaking of which, is this store really recruiting a clerk and not a host?

Why has this woman been staring at my face since just now? What does she mean?

"Where is Little Tendo from?"

*I'm not little; I'm above standard size!*

"Where am I from... probably not a local."

"Parents?"

"Not here."

No error there; they are in another world.

"So you're alone?"

"For now, yes."

"Do you have a place to live?"

"No, I was about to go look for one."

The so-called "looking" meant robbing the rich to help the poor—mugging a few "fated individuals" to borrow some money for a night's stay.

It had to be done for the first day; who told the System not to cover room and board?

He could only borrow from some punks.

"Is that so? There is an apartment behind the store. I used to live there often when I was working. Now that my child is born, I need to take care of him, so it's been sitting empty. I can rent it to you first."

Are the benefits at this store this good?

Tendo Keigon looked at the waitress beside him in surprise, only to see an expression on her face like she was about to cry from grievance.

This made Tendo Keigon's thoughts involuntarily drift in *that* direction.

"Sorry, Landlady, I won't sell my chastity!"

"Chastity? I don't want your chastity; I want your youth!"

"Sorry, Landlady, my youth is just as important to me as my chastity!"

Tendo Keigon was ready to leave right now, immediately.

I'm just working a job; are you trying to keep me as a sugar baby?

"Muttering nonsense, your brain is thinking wild thoughts." The landlady rolled her eyes and said, "Although my shop is a coffee shop, because it's near the school, there are usually more students as customers. Do you understand now?"

"I don't understand."

"Stupid. I want that face of yours. Understand?"

The landlady couldn't help reaching out to pinch Tendo Keigon's handsome cheek, tutting, "If I were twenty years younger, I guarantee I'd chase you until you agreed to be my boyfriend!"

"Then that's no problem. Being a 'vase,' I am competent."

"Then it's settled. By the way, where do you go to school?"

"Teiko!"

"That's quite close. How about this: working hours start after school until 10 PM. Only one day off on weekends, four days off a month. Any problems?"

"Understood!"

Just like that, Tendo Keigon settled the accommodation issue as well.

Nighttime.

Having received an advance on his salary from the landlady and bought daily necessities, Tendo Keigon lay directly on the strange bed.

Looking at the ceiling, he placed his arm over his forehead.

"My luck seems pretty good. Met a kind person as soon as I arrived. This start isn't bad."

Tendo Keigon accepted the other world and the fact that he would soon appear in front of the camera, living a life like *The Truman Show*.

Fortunately, after all, this wasn't *The Truman Show*; the camera would only focus on that guy Kuroko.

"That's not right either. If I want to become the King of Popularity, how can I do it without the determination to change *Kuroko's Basketball* into *Tendo's Basketball*?"

Thinking this, he rolled over to the desk and began recording Gojo Satoru's character settings.

Looking at so many anime works, popular characters are as numerous as stars.

Especially in the sports genre, which most easily ignites the audience's hot blood.

Like **Mitsui Hisashi**, a prodigal son who returns—a hot-blooded man who charmed countless people.

The world of *Kuroko's Basketball* is different. Although there are hot-blooded tropes, the main aspect is shock.

When **Aomine** entered the **Zone** for the first time, who knows how many people were shocked? It was filled with the beauty of numerical stats.

To mix in the world of *Kuroko's Basketball*, talking about hard work is useless; everyone competes on talent.

The protagonist team worked hard enough, right? But facing the **Generation of Miracles**, except for the **Kuroko and Kagami** duo who also turned on hacks, everyone else could only be insta-killed.

Outstanding personality and strength are the key points to attracting popularity.
