Chapter 61 - A New Dawn in Erthland

The long night full of emotional turmoil finally passed. The morning sunlight slipped through the gaps of the thick silk curtains, welcoming the arrival of a completely new day for them in the capital of the Erthland Empire.

On top of a very large, plush bed, Calian slowly opened his eyes. His body felt a bit sore. He woke up still naked after having to serve Wolvin's explosive passion for quite a long time.

His spouse had vented all his passion after days of holding it back due to circumstances that had made it impossible.

"Wolvin, let's wake up..." Calian said, his hand gently shaking the body of his spouse, who was still fast asleep, hugging his arm tightly.

Feeling the touch, Wolvin slowly opened his eyes. He blinked a few times to adjust to the light, then looked up at his husband's handsome face which was very close.

"Good morning, Darling..." Wolvin greeted in a very affectionate tone.

"Good morning to you too, Wolvin." Calian replied, greeting his spouse with a faint smile. "Come on, get up quickly. Aren't we supposed to tour the capital today to decide and find a suitable job for the two of us?"

Even though he still wanted to cuddle with his husband, Wolvin obeyed his husband's words. He got out of bed, stretched his body for a moment, then took his husband's hand.

As they walking side by side barefoot, the two teenagers made their way to the bathroom attached to their bedroom.

During the process of bathing together and soaking in the tub filled with warm water, everything went very normally and calmly. There were no naughty teases or sudden attacks. That was all because the sexual passion Wolvin had been holding back was now satisfied. And for Calian, it was a relief. He felt safe, and his waist could rest for at least the next two or three days.

Once they finished bathing, drying their hair, and putting on the casual clothes that had been taken out of the spatial dimension necklace, both of them immediately stepped out of the room and walked down the hallway toward the main dining room.

There, their mother and uncle were already sitting nicely, awaiting their arrival. The fragrance of various dishes and the aroma of tea smelled very appetizing.

"Good morning, Mother, Uncle!" Calian and Wolvin greeted together as they entered the room.

"Good morning to you too, Calian, Wolvin!" Rodaz replied warmly, his face looking much fresher compared to last night.

"Yes, good morning to both of you as well!" Elara replied with a motherly smile, gesturing with her hand. "Come, sit down quickly so we can enjoy this breakfast together before the food gets cold."

During the shared breakfast, the atmosphere of the royal family felt very warm. The family ate the various dishes provided by the palace servants while occasionally discussing light topics. That morning moment passed so calmly and solemnly.

Wolvin, who was already accustomed to the etiquette of a noble because every time they ate he always observed and imitated Calian's elegant movements while they lived together in the West Pavilion, could now naturally adapt very well in the palace dining room.

Even when finishing breakfast, the way Wolvin placed his fork and wiped the corner of his lips with a silk napkin still displayed perfect elegance, just like a purebred noble descendant.

The unnatural sight at the end of breakfast instantly sucked the air out of the dining room. Emperor Rodaz was stunned, his eyes staring intently at Wolvin.

Not only the Emperor, but the dozens of palace servants who had been standing in the corners of the dining room could not hide their surprise. Their eyes widened, stealing glances at one another with expressions of disbelief.

The palace dining room instantly fell silent from shock. They had just seen a beastfolk teenager, a race usually associated with wildness and emotional behavior, possessing dining etiquette that was far more perfect, calm, and elegant than the high nobles of the capital in general.

"Calian?" Rodaz called out, breaking the silence, shifting his gaze from Wolvin to his nephew. "Was it you who intentionally taught and trained your spouse in such high-level dining etiquette?"

"No, Uncle." Calian answered quickly and honestly. "I never taught him. He only always observed what I did every time we ate together. Perhaps he realized and prepared himself in case one day, a shared dining situation like this or an official banquet would occur."

Hearing his nephew's explanation, Emperor Rodaz looked back at Wolvin's face. This time, the ruler's gaze was filled with pure appreciation.

"You are truly remarkable, Wolvin!" Rodaz praised with his steady baritone voice. "I never expected you to have the dedication and meticulousness to do such a thing just to maintain the dignity and honor of your husband in public. It takes extraordinary discipline to transform your natural instincts into an elegance."

The direct and sincere praise that came from the mouth of a great emperor immediately struck Wolvin's defenses. The Night Wolf teenager felt so embarrassed that his face turned beet red.

I never expected that Calian's uncle, who is an emperor, would pay attention to and praise me to such an extent! Wolvin thought, his heart fluttering with the feeling of being accepted. My hard work over the months, restraining myself and secretly learning etiquette from my husband in that place, was not in vain after all.

"T-Thank you very much for your excessive praise, Uncle." Wolvin replied while bowing his head, hiding the blush on his cheeks.

However, behind the warm family atmosphere, a different expression was shown by several head servants standing in the corners of the dining room. All of them were still in shock and never expected that an imperial prince had a male beastfolk spouse, the same gender as himself. Moreover, that beastfolk possessed etiquette that surpassed high-class noble ladies.

"Calian!" Rodaz exclaimed with a joyful tone he rarely showed. "You are very lucky to have a spouse like this Wolvin. Listen to me, it is very rare for a beastfolk to have a mindset like his! Not only is he loyal, but he is also very intelligent and capable of adapting to a new environment so as not to embarrass you."

The emperor looked straight at his nephew, his facial expression suddenly turning slightly serious.

"But..." Rodaz continued, but he suddenly left his sentence hanging, letting the silence take over for a moment.
