"Attack a god? Kanade? Are you kidding me?"
Shaka questioned with an incredulous look on his face.
Shakti took out her key, opened the cell door, and said, "The evidence is conclusive, and a case has been filed. If you want me to release her, you need the consent of the person involved."
"So, which god was attacked? Do I need to communicate with Him face to face?"
"No need for that, the other side's leader will be here soon."
Shakti stepped aside, indicating that he could go in.
Shaka pushed open the door, and what he saw stunned him for a moment.
At this moment, Tachibana Kanade was holding a strange flower, and a strange scythe weapon had sprouted from her other hand. These weapons were changing rapidly at a rate of one per second, eventually forming the shape of a potato ball.
"Kanade, you really love potato balls too," Shaka couldn't help but say.
"Whoa!"
Kanade froze, turning her head like a robot, her eyes seeming to say, When did you get here?
Shaka returned a look that said, "I saw everything."
The magic she had condensed in her hand couldn't be maintained; a sonic boom exploded, blowing away the tables and chairs in the cell.
"Hey."
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry."
Shaka quickly bowed and apologized, then led Kanade out of the room. Yuuki, on the other hand, dutifully went upstairs to tidy up the clutter.
Shakti rubbed her forehead: "It seems that your familia's confinement cells should be made of better materials from now on. What do you think of the hardest metal?"
That won't be cheap...
Shaka scratched his face awkwardly and said, "We're from the same side, there's no need to target us like this."
The Astraea Familia possesses law enforcement authority, but unlike the Ganesha Familia where one side represents the police, the other represents knights-errant.
Shakti looked at him with disdain: "We were comrades-in-arms once, and I do miss the days when we maintained order in the city together. But now all I see in the Astraea Familia now is trouble!"
"I'm really sorry."
After taking the 'prisoner' away, the two arrived at another conference room. In the center was a long table decorated with a row of magic stone lamps. Sitting at the table was a blond dwarf, and standing a great distance away from him was the dog-person Naaza.
Shakti greeted politely, "It is truly impolite of you to trouble the esteemed [Brave] to make the trip amidst your busy schedule."
That man was none other than Finn, the leader of the Loki Familia: [Brave] Finn, a Level 6 adventurer.
Kanade is involved with Loki! That's something!
Shaka glanced at Shakti with a look of disdain. What's wrong? Why are you so nice to a Level 6?
Immediately, he walked up with a look of longing, grabbed Finn's arm, and bowed deeply in reverence:
"So it's you, [Brave]! I've heard so much about you! I've heard many of your glorious deeds from the elders of the dwarves. My admiration for you is like a never-ending river."
"That senior also said that if she could, she would definitely marry you."
Finn looked embarrassed and silently withdrew his hand, asking:
"Is that so? May I know the name of that fellow countryman? To be called a senior by an adventurer like you, she must be an elite among our people."
Finn became interested. He was over 50 and still single. Although he had many suitors, he preferred to marry a courageous girl from his own tribe so his descendants could inherit his name and lead the tribe.
Hearing Finn's words...
Shaka said in a serious tone, "Her name is Leila."
"Leila…" Finn's expression froze as he recalled a pink-haired girl he was reluctant to remember.
"Who are you..."
"You haven't introduced yourself yet. I am the current leader of the Astraea Familia. My name is Shaka."
"Astraea..."
Finn bit his thumb What the heck? Damn it, my finger is starting to hurt.
Finn's thumb, which always aches when it encounters danger, has saved him countless times, but now it was starting to ache slightly. This left him feeling somewhat bewildered.
"Sure enough, I had a bad feeling about getting involved with that woman... Is it the same even if I die?" Finn muttered uncertainly.
Seeing that the two were having a conversation, Shakti took the initiative to speak: "Then let's begin the discussion about the 'god attack' case."
All parties took their seats.
Finn sat down with the bearing of a commander: "I heard the general situation from Loki."
"Originally, this was not a big deal or rather, the main responsibility lay with Loki."
Knowing Finn had a "but," Shaka didn't rush to speak.
Sure enough.
"But…" Finn relaxed his body, closed his eyes, leaned back in his chair, and said with a headache:
Loki's exact words were: "I've got my eye on that girl. Double the Aisaran, I'm going to enjoy the pleasure of having her on both sides, hehehe. So, Finn, get her over here!"
Finn looked up and glanced at Tachibana Kanade, who looked completely bewildered as if she wasn't the focus of the incident. She was engrossed in eating her potato balls, while Yuuki was actually wiping her mouth!
It's like seeing Ais and Riveria.
Finn was incredibly annoyed: "When I saw this child, the first thought that came to my mind was, 'Ah, so that's how it is.'"
Regarding this...
"So, Commander Finn, you mean you don't actually want to 'escalate' this matter?" Shaka grasped the key point.
Finn nodded: "I know perfectly well that Loki is just being silly."
"But as a fellow leader, you should know that although we leaders have a certain amount of authority, when it comes to 'divine will,' we are actually quite passive."
"So?"
Finn smiled and closed one eye: "So, could you please give me a reason for not starting the war game, Shaka?"
"Any excuse will do let me fob off Loki."
That was a very reasonable request. But what reason could justify making a top-tier faction god who had three Level 6 members and multiple high-level adventurers abandon her obsession?
Shaka lowered his head and thought for a moment, then said calmly, "As for reasons, there are some."
"Oh?" Finn was quite curious about what kind of reason Shaka would give.
"Similar statements like 'we'll fight to the death' are too far-fetched and won't do."
"Of course not!"
Shaka's lips slowly curled up as he leaned back in his chair and said clearly, "I forgot to tell you."
"The Astraea Familia is currently under the jurisdiction of the 'School District'."
Finn was taken aback: "School District?"
Shaka nodded: "Yes while we're staying in Orario as part of the school district, our entire familia belongs to the Astraea Class."
The school district is composed of multiple gods; if it were the Baldr Familia, it would be Baldr Class.
Shaka continued, "As you know, the 'School District' champions absolute freedom students' choices of their future paths must be respected."
"If you want to use force... I don't think Professor Leon will agree."
Finn's brows relaxed, and he smiled. "Ah, that's a perfect answer."
He stroked his chin, feigning deep thought, and said:
"Level 7 perhaps still the strongest in the world. This is indeed a difficult situation. In addition, the students in the school district are the type who can be persuaded; using force is indeed not in accordance with the rules."
Analyzing the situation on his own, Finn confirmed, "Well, since she's a member of the school district, it shouldn't be a problem to let Loki persuade her herself, right?"
Shaka nodded: "Of course the school district is free. At least during the year and a half that we're staying in Orario as part of the school district, I won't stop any familia from 'enticing' our members."
This was why Shaka wanted to join the school district!
