Chapter 2 - 2

Little Daniel – A Different Morning

Little Daniel woke before his alarm.

That alone was new.

His body felt sore, but not weak. More like it remembered work instead of punishment. He sat up and didn't hesitate.

Again, he thought.

Push-ups.

Fifteen.

Then twenty.

His arms shook—but didn't give out.

He lay back, staring at the ceiling, breathing hard.

"…I'm changing."

The words scared him.

They also excited him.

School – Same Hallways, Different Weight

The whispers still followed him.

The looks didn't change.

But when a shoulder bumped into him, Little Daniel didn't flinch.

He turned.

The bully stopped mid-step.

"…What?"

Little Daniel blinked.

He hadn't meant to glare.

It just happened.

The bully scoffed and walked away.

Little Daniel stood there, heart racing.

That never worked before.

Zack Lee – Testing the Result

The gym door slammed open.

Zack walked in with a scowl and a bruised knuckle.

Big Daniel looked up.

"Lost?" Big Daniel asked.

Zack grinned.

"No. I won."

Short answer.

Heavy meaning.

Zack shadowboxed—lighter on his feet, sharper turns.

"I stopped swinging for knockouts," he said. "Started thinking."

Big Daniel nodded.

Good.

Vasco – Pain Threshold Broken

Vasco trained until his hands bled.

Then wrapped them.

Then kept going.

When Big Daniel found him, Vasco was doing knuckle push-ups, sweat dripping like rain.

"I didn't fall today," Vasco said proudly.

"Not once."

Big Daniel crouched beside him.

"Next time," he said calmly, "don't stop when it hurts."

Vasco's grin widened.

Little Daniel's First Real Fight

It happened after school.

Two older students blocked the path.

"Move," one said.

Little Daniel didn't.

The shove came.

Little Daniel stumbled—

Then planted his foot.

The MC's instincts whispered from deep inside.

Center your balance.

The punch came.

Little Daniel raised his arms—clumsy, but in time.

Impact rattled his bones.

He didn't fall.

He stepped forward.

And punched back.

It wasn't strong.

It wasn't clean.

But it landed.

The bully staggered, shocked.

"What the—?!"

The second guy grabbed Little Daniel from behind.

Panic surged—

Then faded.

Little Daniel twisted, dropped his weight, and elbowed backward.

Air left the lungs behind him.

Both bullies backed away.

Not beaten.

But no longer confident.

Little Daniel stood there, shaking.

Unbroken.

That Night – A Shared Silence

Big Daniel lay awake, staring at the ceiling.

Little Daniel lay awake, staring at his hands.

Neither spoke.

They didn't need to.

First proof, the MC thought.

Not strength.

Not victory.

But change.

And once change started—

It never went backward.

Growth invited resistance.

And resistance always came with fists.

Zack Lee – Real Opposition

The opponent wasn't from J High.

That alone made it serious.

The guy had cauliflower ears and a boxer's stance that didn't waste motion. He smiled when Zack raised his guard.

"You're lighter than you look."

Zack exhaled slowly.

Don't rush.

The bell rang.

FIGHT – ZACK LEE (DETAILED)

The opponent opened with a probing jab.

Zack slipped—barely—and countered with a straight to the chest.

Solid.

Not enough.

The man responded with a tight hook.

Zack blocked but felt the impact crawl up his arm.

Strong.

Zack retreated two steps, circling.

He changed rhythm.

Fast jab. Step out. Low kick—unorthodox, but effective.

The opponent frowned.

Good.

Zack went in again—jab, jab, cross—then didn't chase.

When the counter came, Zack was already gone.

Minutes passed.

Sweat poured.

Then—

Zack saw it.

Overcommitment.

He stepped inside and fired a short right to the jaw.

The opponent dropped to one knee.

Bell.

Decision.

Zack won.

Not by power.

By control.

Vasco – Collapse

Vasco pushed too far.

Weights slammed.

Punches landed.

Pain stacked.

Then his legs gave out.

He hit the mat hard.

Vision swam.

For the first time—

He didn't get back up immediately.

Big Daniel stood over him.

"Rest," he said.

Vasco shook his head.

"Not yet."

He stood.

Slow.

Shaking.

But standing.

That mattered.

Little Daniel – Escalation

The next opponent wasn't a bully.

He knew how to fight.

When Little Daniel raised his guard, the guy smirked.

"This'll be quick."

It wasn't.

FIGHT – LITTLE DANIEL (DETAILED)

The first punch snapped Little Daniel's head sideways.

Pain exploded.

He tasted blood.

So this is real fighting.

The opponent pressed.

Little Daniel blocked late, moved slower, got hit again.

His legs trembled.

I can't win like this.

He remembered Big Daniel's stance.

Adjusted his feet.

Lowered his center.

The next punch glanced off his forearms.

Little Daniel stepped in—head down—and rammed his shoulder into the opponent's chest.

Ugly.

Effective.

They stumbled.

Little Daniel threw short punches—no form, all intent.

One landed clean on the nose.

Blood.

The opponent backed away, shocked.

Enough.

He left.

Little Daniel collapsed to his knees, gasping.

But smiling.

Understanding

That night, Little Daniel iced his face.

Bruises bloomed.

But his eyes were steady.

I didn't fall.

Big Daniel felt it through the link.

A quiet satisfaction.

They're not stronger yet, the MC thought.

But they don't break anymore.

And that—

That was how monsters were made.

CHAPTER 7 – THE ATTENTION OF STRONGER MEN

Strength never stayed unnoticed.

It attracted predators.

Little Daniel – Eyes That Linger

Little Daniel felt it before he understood it.

The hallway felt heavier.

Not louder—quieter.

Whispers stopped when he passed. A few seniors stared longer than normal, eyes sharp, measuring.

This is bad, he realized.

But not like before.

Before, they saw prey.

Now—

They saw something that didn't fit.

Big Daniel – The Pattern Forms

Big Daniel leaned against the rooftop railing, watching the school grounds.

Zack stabilized.

Vasco adapts through pain.

Little Daniel crossed the line from weak to unknown.

Unknowns scared people.

And scared people tested.

Vasco – The Turning Point

The fight happened at night.

Back alley.

Five men.

Not students.

Vasco stepped forward alone.

"Leave," he said.

They laughed.

The first punch landed square on Vasco's jaw.

His head snapped sideways.

He didn't fall.

The second punch hit his ribs.

Crack.

Pain exploded.

Vasco roared—and charged.

FIGHT – VASCO (DETAILED)

Vasco slammed into the first man like a battering ram.

They crashed into a wall.

The second attacker grabbed his neck.

Vasco tore the hands away and headbutted backward.

THUD.

The third swung a pipe.

Metal struck Vasco's shoulder.

He staggered—

Then straightened.

Blood ran.

But his eyes burned.

He grabbed the pipe mid-swing and yanked.

The attacker flew forward.

Vasco punched once.

The man dropped.

The remaining two froze.

They ran.

Vasco stood alone, chest heaving.

Hurt.

But unbroken.

Zack Lee – Confidence Shaken

Zack faced another boxer.

This one didn't overcommit.

Didn't rush.

The fight dragged.

Zack took clean hits.

Lost on points.

He sat afterward, gloves dangling.

"…Guess I'm not there yet."

Big Daniel stood nearby.

"No," he said.

"But you're closer than you think."

Zack looked up.

And believed him.

Little Daniel – The Test Comes

Three boys blocked the stairwell.

Older.

Calmer.

One cracked his knuckles.

"You're the kid who fought back."

Little Daniel swallowed.

Heart pounding.

But he didn't step back.

FIGHT – LITTLE DANIEL (HIGH RISK)

The first kick slammed into his thigh.

His leg buckled.

Pain screamed.

The second punch hit his guard—hard enough to push him back.

Don't panic.

Little Daniel lunged forward, grabbing the attacker's sleeve and pulling.

He tripped.

The third boy rushed in.

Little Daniel raised his elbow—late—but it landed.

He got hit again.

Then again.

Vision blurred.

Stand.

He did.

He shoved one into the wall and ran.

Not victory.

But survival.

That Night – The MC Decides

Big Daniel clenched his fist.

They're being noticed too early.

If he continued like this—

Little Daniel would be crushed before he finished growing.

The MC made a decision.

I step in directly next time.

Not to dominate.

But to warn.

A Storm Approaches

Somewhere outside J High—

Men who didn't wear school uniforms started hearing a name.

"Daniel Park."

And that—

That was dangerous.

CHAPTER 8 – THE WARNING

The cooldown ended at midnight.

Big Daniel opened his eyes with a single thought in mind.

Enough observing.

The Call Comes

It wasn't subtle.

A message passed through whispers, through fear, through reputation.

Come behind the old arcade.

Big Daniel went alone.

The Opponents

Five men waited.

Not students.

Their stances were wrong for school fights—too loose, too ready. Scarred knuckles. Calm eyes.

One of them smirked.

"So you're Daniel Park."

Big Daniel didn't answer.

He took off his jacket and folded it neatly.

That alone made them pause.

FIGHT – BIG DANIEL (BRUTAL & CONTROLLED)

The first man rushed.

Big Daniel stepped forward—not back—and drove his palm into the man's throat.

Not crushing.

Just enough.

The man collapsed, choking.

The second attacker came in low, aiming for the legs.

Big Daniel jumped—clean—and brought his heel down on the man's shoulder.

CRACK.

Bone gave.

The third swung a knife.

Big Daniel caught the wrist mid-air.

Twisted.

Knife dropped.

Big Daniel elbowed the man's jaw.

Lights out.

The fourth and fifth attacked together.

Bad move.

Big Daniel grabbed one by the collar and threw him into the other.

They hit the ground hard.

One tried to stand.

Big Daniel placed a foot on his chest.

Pressure.

Enough to break ribs if pushed further.

He leaned down.

The Message

"Don't touch," Big Daniel said calmly,

"the people connected to me."

His voice wasn't loud.

It didn't need to be.

"If you do," he continued, "I won't stop here."

The pressure lifted.

Big Daniel stepped back.

They didn't follow.

They couldn't.

Immediate Consequences

By morning—

The rumors changed.

Not who to target.

But who to avoid.

"Daniel Park" stopped being a challenge.

It became a boundary.

Little Daniel – The Shield Felt

Little Daniel walked to school without being stopped.

No shoves.

No whispers behind his back.

Space.

He noticed it immediately.

Did something happen?

He didn't know.

But he felt safer.

Zack & Vasco – Understanding Without Words

Zack noticed the silence.

Vasco noticed the fear in people's eyes.

Neither asked questions.

They just trained harder.

The MC's Realization

Big Daniel sat on the rooftop, knuckles bruised, body aching.

I can't fight every battle for them.

This warning bought time.

Time was all growth needed.

He closed his eyes.

Cooldown began again.

Now, he thought,

they walk their own paths.

A Shadow Watches

From across the street—

A man with dyed hair and a lazy posture watched Big Daniel leave.

He smiled faintly.

"…Interesting."

END OF CHAPTER 8

CHAPTER 9 – WHEN MONSTERS NOTICE

Power didn't spread through noise.

It spread through absence.

J High – The Calm After Fear

The halls were quieter.

Not peaceful—careful.

Little Daniel noticed it immediately. Lockers didn't slam near him anymore. People moved aside instead of through him.

He wasn't respected.

But he wasn't hunted either.

That was new territory.

So this is what space feels like, he thought.

His hands clenched unconsciously.

Steady.

Zack Lee – Crossing the Line

Zack's opponent this time was heavier.

Stronger.

Not flashy.

The fight was short.

Too short.

Zack took two hits.

Adjusted.

Then ended it with a perfectly timed counter straight.

The man didn't get back up.

Zack stared at his gloves.

"…I didn't hesitate."

That scared him.

And thrilled him.

Vasco – Endurance Turns Into Pressure

Vasco no longer chased pain.

Pain chased him.

And failed.

Three men jumped him near the river.

They left limping.

Vasco sat on the curb afterward, breathing hard.

"…I'm not scared anymore."

Not bravado.

Fact.

Big Daniel – The Name Reaches Higher

Big Daniel felt it before he heard it.

The air around him felt watched.

Measured.

Like prey standing under a scope.

So it's begun.

Not challengers.

Evaluators.

A Conversation Elsewhere

A dark room.

Two figures.

One smiled lazily.

"Daniel Park," Goo said, twirling a weapon casually.

"He's popping up everywhere."

Gun didn't smile.

He didn't need to.

"Watch," Gun said.

"Don't touch."

Goo raised an eyebrow.

"That serious?"

Gun's eyes sharpened.

"If he's real," he said,

"he'll come to us eventually."

Little Daniel – Confidence Has Weight

A shove came.

Light.

Testing.

Little Daniel turned slowly.

"…Don't."

One word.

Flat.

The boy backed off.

Little Daniel exhaled.

His heart raced—but his legs didn't shake.

I can stand now.

The MC's Line in the Sand

Big Daniel stood alone on the rooftop as the sun dipped low.

They're stronger than canon, he acknowledged.

But still fragile.

He couldn't accelerate them anymore.

Not without breaking something.

Now I observe again.

He lay back.

Cooldown started.

A Future Already Shifting

Somewhere—

A fight that once ended in loss

would end in survival.

A survival that would turn into victory.

The story hadn't changed—

But its speed had.

CHAPTER 10 – THE FIGHT THAT COULDN'T BE DODGED

Some fights didn't wait for permission.

They arrived.

Little Daniel – Cornered

It happened after school.

Not an alley.

Not a rooftop.

A narrow street filled with people who wouldn't interfere.

Two boys stood in front of Little Daniel.

One behind.

All older.

All calm.

"This isn't bullying," one said quietly.

"It's curiosity."

Little Daniel swallowed.

Running wasn't an option.

FIGHT – LITTLE DANIEL (LIMIT TEST)

The first punch came fast.

Too fast.

Little Daniel blocked—but the impact rattled his arms and drove him back into the wall.

Pain flared.

The second attacker kicked low.

Little Daniel's leg buckled.

He dropped to one knee.

Get up.

He stood.

A punch slammed into his cheek.

Stars burst across his vision.

I can't win.

But he could last.

Little Daniel grabbed the attacker's sleeve and pulled, slamming his head forward.

Clumsy.

Effective.

The third attacker rushed in.

Little Daniel ducked—barely—and tackled him into a trash bin.

Metal crashed.

People stepped back.

The attackers hesitated.

Not because Little Daniel was strong—

But because he wouldn't stay down.

Elsewhere – The Switch

Big Daniel felt it like a spike through his chest.

Pain.

Fear.

Now.

The switch slammed into place.

Cooldown forgotten.

Consequences later.

Big Daniel Arrives

The crowd parted without knowing why.

Big Daniel walked through.

Stopped.

Looked at the scene.

Blood on Little Daniel's lip.

That was enough.

FIGHT – BIG DANIEL (ONE-SIDED)

The first attacker turned—

And was hit.

Big Daniel's fist crashed into his jaw.

The body lifted.

Then fell.

The second attacker swung wildly.

Big Daniel caught the punch, twisted, and drove a knee into the man's ribs.

CRACK.

The third tried to run.

Big Daniel grabbed his collar and slammed him into the wall.

Concrete cracked.

Silence followed.

Aftermath

Big Daniel stood between Little Daniel and the world.

No threats.

No speeches.

Just presence.

The attackers crawled away.

The crowd dispersed.

The Cost

Big Daniel staggered.

The forced switch burned.

His vision blurred.

Cooldown backlash.

He leaned against the wall, breathing hard.

Little Daniel looked up at him.

"…You came."

Big Daniel nodded once.

"That was the last time," he said calmly.

"You handled the rest."

A Line Crossed

From a nearby rooftop—

Someone watched.

Not impressed.

Interested.

"…So that's the real one," the man muttered.

Gun smiled.

Just slightly.

Two Daniels, One Path

That night—

Little Daniel slept without fear.

Big Daniel slept with pain.

And the world quietly adjusted.

Because now—

Daniel Park wasn't just growing.

He was inevitable.
