"I'm fine standing," Wish said quickly.
"Are you though?" His eyes sparkled with mischief. "Because from where I'm sitting, you look like you're about two seconds away from either running back to the bath or jumping on me. And I'm really, really hoping it's the second one."
"Aurex!"
"What?" He laughed—bright and genuine and completely unrepentant. "I'm just being honest. You can't walk in here looking like that and expect me to behave myself, Pufftail. I'm a deity, not a saint."
"There's a difference?"
"Huge difference. Saints have restraint. I have none. Especially not around you." He tilted his head, studying her with open appreciation. "Especially not when you're wearing my clothes and looking at me like you can't decide if you want to kiss me or scold me."
"I came to ask you something," Wish said, trying to steer the conversation back on track.
