2019-2020 a new year a new dawn Abdullah's in third class now. New teachers and new faces. His teacher was a tall man with a slick back he wasn't bad which was good enough.
Abdullah at this point started to enjoy coming to school he had friends Tomek, Alois and Jan but Jan was more of a friend of a friend then someone he chose to be around.
But that year there was someone new. Roughly the same size as Abdullah and Tomek but skinny not like Jan though he was healthy and not fragile. He had long black hair that would keep falling into his eyes and he had light brown skin. His name was john
At first Abdullah and john barely spoke. One faithful day though Abdullah goes into the yard and sees john talking to Tomek. Tomek was his only real friend. He didn't want to be replaced the sight of seeing john talking to him incurred some jealousy.
At first, they weren't the friendliest to each other Abdullah didn't have his normal friendly attitude whether it was out of fear of being replaced or jealousy who knows maybe a mix of both.
But over time things changed the three boys would often play games with each other pretending to have powers and creating dramatic fight scenes without hurting each other… Most of the time.
While the rest of their classmates played soccer or normal games the boys were in their own little world, they were included with the rest of their class, but it didn't matter to them their world was better.
One time the pretend fighting got a bit out of hand. John had punched Abdullah right in the stomach. He dramatically fell to the floor holding his stomach. John stood there frozen.
Abdullah was furious but the next day he had forgotten and gotten over it after all kids don't hold grudges often especially not Abdullah it wasn't his thing.
As the year went on soon john wasn't just Tomek's friend. He was also Abdullah's friend. Soon the trio started to hangout outside of school as well they became something solid a strong friendship that no one could break.
Abdullah learnt a lot more about john. he was kind. he was caring. he had a temper that could flare up quick but also died fast enough for Abdullah anyways. john was protective in a quite way. as an older brother it made sense. they had the same interests as well games cartoons etc. things only kids could understand. in a lot of ways they lined up even better then Abdullah and Tomek did.
Over the years john and Abdullah would have their ups and downs. But Abdullah would come to learn something important.
Whenever he needed someone to listen to him. Someone to make him feel better or make his day better. John was there always.
