Chapter 58 - CHAPTER 58: WHISPERS, PROMISES, AND FOREVER

The week passed like a soft dream.

For once, there were no threats, no shadows lurking behind smiles, no power games being played. Just laughter echoing through the Goodwill mansion, shared meals, teasing glances, and quiet happiness.

Augustina had no idea.

That alone made everything ten times harder.

Kiss watched her closely over the days—how she laughed freely, how she leaned into Isaac without fear, how she talked endlessly about baby names and colors, completely unaware that everyone around her was hiding a secret so big it could shake her heart.

One afternoon, the women gathered in the living room.

"Mall trip," Adrian's mother announced casually. "We need baby things."

Augustina clapped excitedly. "Yes! I want to see tiny shoes."

Kiss smiled innocently, even as her phone vibrated in her pocket.

📩 Everything's ready on our end. Keep her busy.

She glanced up to see Adrian watching her from across the room, his expression calm—but his eyes amused.

Isaac is losing his mind, he mouthed.

Kiss almost laughed.

THE DISTRACTION

The mall was chaos—in the best way.

Augustina was unstoppable.

"This onesie is adorable."

"No, this one is better."

"Oh my God, look at the socks!"

Kiss followed behind her, arms full of shopping bags, laughing as Augustina held up yet another tiny outfit.

"You're going to buy out the entire baby section," Kiss teased.

Augustina grinned. "This baby deserves the world."

Meanwhile, back at the mansion…

THE SETUP

Isaac paced.

Again.

His mother watched him with folded arms and an amused smile. "If you wear a hole into the floor, I'll make you propose there."

Isaac ran a hand through his hair. "What if she says no?"

Adrian raised an eyebrow. "She's carrying your child."

"That doesn't mean—"

"She loves you," Adrian cut in calmly. "Stop overthinking."

The garden was transformed—soft lights strung between trees, white flowers lining the path, candles glowing warmly as dusk approached. Everything whispered romance.

Isaac inhaled deeply.

"Okay," he muttered. "Okay."

THE BLINDFOLD

When the women returned, it was already evening.

"Why are we back so fast?" Augustina asked suspiciously.

Kiss stepped forward with a smile that betrayed nothing. "Trust me."

Before Augustina could ask more questions, Adrian's mother gently tied a blindfold over her eyes.

"What—wait—what's happening?"

Augustina laughed nervously.

"Relax," Kiss said softly, taking her hand. "Just trust us."

They guided her carefully through the mansion, the sound of her heels echoing as anticipation thickened the air.

Upstairs, Isaac stood in front of the mirror, adjusting his jacket one last time.

"Don't faint," Adrian muttered.

Isaac exhaled. "If I do, drag me back up."

THE PROPOSAL

The blindfold was removed slowly.

Augustina blinked.

Then froze.

The garden glowed before her, lights shimmering like stars fallen to earth. Petals lined the ground. Candles flickered. And standing at the center—

Isaac.

Her breath caught.

"I—Isaac?" her voice trembled.

He stepped forward, eyes shining. "I wanted to do this right. Not rushed. Not because of anything else."

He dropped to one knee.

The world seemed to stop.

"Augustina," he said softly, "you changed my life without trying. You made me love without fear. And now… you're giving me a future I never knew I needed."

Her hands flew to her mouth.

"I don't want you because of fate or circumstance," he continued. "I want you because I love you. Because I choose you.

Every day."

He swallowed.

"Will you marry me?"

Tears streamed down her face as she nodded frantically. "Yes. Yes, Isaac. A thousand times yes."

Applause erupted. Laughter. Cheers.

Isaac stood, pulled her into his arms, and kissed her deeply—forgetting the world, the lights, the people.

Kiss wiped her eyes discreetly.

Adrian slipped an arm around her waist. "You did good."

She leaned into him. "So did you."

DINNER & LAUGHTER

Dinner that night was loud.

"So the wedding should be here," Isaac's mother insisted.

"No," Grandma declared. "It must be in the city."

Adrian's father scoffed. "Outdoor wedding. Summer."

"What about the venue size?" Adrian added.

Augustina laughed helplessly. "We just got engaged!"

Isaac squeezed her hand. "They're already planning our lives."

"Welcome to the family," Kiss teased.

LATER THAT NIGHT – ADRIAN & KISS

The mansion finally quieted.

Moonlight spilled through the bedroom windows as Kiss closed the door behind them.

Adrian turned just in time to see her lean against it slowly.

"You were very helpful today," he murmured.

She smiled—slow, knowing. "I thought I'd be rewarded.

"

His eyes darkened. "Careful."

Kiss stepped closer, fingers trailing over his chest. "You've been very patient lately."

Adrian's voice dropped. "Kiss…"

She rose on her toes, whispering against his lips, "Tonight, I don't want patience."

That was all it took.

He pulled her into his arms, kissing her deeply—hungrily—but with love woven through every touch.

Adrian pulled back slightly and looked at Kiss," You sure you don't want patience...because the moment I start, there's no turning back".

Kiss slowly unbuttoned his shirt and looked straight into his eyes," You know I like it when you do me....rough and hard",she whispered into his ears and bit his earlobe.

Adrian lost it completely and tear her clothes roughly making Kiss gaps in anticipation.

"You will surely decrease the number of my dresses if you keep turning them.....".

Adrian cut her off with an intense kiss as he pushed her to the wall, caging her.

Adrian turned her around to the face the wall as he hurriedly remove all his clothes and hardly shoved his manhood into Kiss making both of them moan loudly.

He thrusts into her without hesitation, changing from one position to the other.

They made love together as the world outside ceased to exist as they moved together, breath mingling, hearts racing.

The lights dimmed.

The door remained closed.

And love spoke in ways words never could.
