Chapter 65- Happiness
"... Than…k you…" Fiona muttered with great difficulty as her head slumped down a bit. So, Elio helped raise it again and adjust her position. The way he gently touched her and carefully avoided any possible painful spot made Fiona even more confused. His warmth, his caring nature, and the way he didn't seem bothered or annoyed whatsoever were shocking.
She was aware that Elio was also in great pain, and he was shirtless and cold. He was also terrified since he could not really fight, and so he could not really protect her. Yet, the only feeling he conveyed to her was assurance and confidence. For some reason, even though she knew that the situation was horrendous, she still didn't feel like they were doomed.
Elio just seemed that reliable. A feeling not many people in the world gave her, even when they're way stronger than Elio. As if this boy was bound to always find a way out, a solution, or pull a miracle only he could pull off.
