Charles started to walk as suddenly the smell of copper filled the air. There were puddles of blood. I could see Charles and My reflection. "Could be the wolves." Charles said.
"So let me guess you're going to follow it." I said this almost exactly what he did last time.
"You know me so well." Charles spoke with a smile on his lips. The smell of smoke filled the air. Something was burning.
"That makes you think about something." I said. Looking at his face.
"Something is wrong, there are only human foot prints and drag marks." Charles said.
"So what is so strange about that?" I asked.
"No animal tracks, no fur, nothing leading me to believe that it was a Vampire that was creating Ghouls." Charles said.
"What's wrong with that?" I asked.
"There is only one Vampire I met here, Faux." Charles said. But Lux was here oh wait he was unconscious for that.
"Yeah but you have gotten much stronger." I said I was trying to build confidence.
"Bet he did the same." Charles said.
"Why?" I asked.
"You forgot in most cases it takes hundreds of years to become a Noble vampire or to be born one. He forced the process in at most three years. His growth is explosive." Charles said. A chill ran down my spine. He was right. So much growth in such a short amount of time he might even claw his way to a Count. It was a scary thought.
"Yeah you're right." I said. Maybe we should turn back. But then we hear a laugh.
"But you have nothing to worry, my lord. I have never slaughtered my wonderful followers of your word. Only the Human fools." A voice came from above. It was Faux. He was wearing strange clothes that showed off his chest and scar. The cloak was made of black feathers. Why was he here?
"What do you want?" Charles asked.
"Well I heard from a little friend of mine that you wanted to kill Vampires so I have good news." Faux said as I heard many feet shuffling as many Low caliber Vampires. I could see even a few Mid caliber Vampires.
"How did they do this?" I asked.
"You may attack one at a time." Faux said. Snapping his finger, one attacked. As Charles stomps on its head. Crushing it in a single moment. A little bit of blood started floating and absorbed it. I felt more power enter my body. It was as if I was in heaven.
"Is this easy?" Charles said to himself. As the next one charged at his back.
"Yes my majesty." Faux said with a smile. Charles grabbed the Vampire by the neck. Hearing a snapping sound as he punched a hole through his chest. Some more blood flowed into me.
"Come, this will take forever to send two at a time." Charles stated.
"If that is your wish." Faux said as he snapped his fingers. Two charged at Charles he simply kills the two there head fell to the ground. As more blood fused into me I felt power.
"This is fun." Charles said with a smile. As two more vampires charged. They were killed in the blink of an eye. Blood flowed and merged me. Then two more Mid caliber Vampire charged. Once again they were killed. Like clockwork even more. Minutes passed and more and more were killed. It seemed like there was no end to them. I was gaining even more strength.
"It's been about an hour, how about three at a time?" Faux asked.
"Sure." Charles said with a bloodthirsty grin. Then three Vampires attacked him. He killed them without a second hesitation. I was about a mere fragment of my strength. But at least my power was returning but it was a slow process. Even longer passed and we barely made a dent in the huge army.
"It's been three hours. Do you want to do four at a time?" Faux offered with a smile on his face.
"Sure…" Charles said as the first signs of exhaustion were starting to show. A small bit of sweat rolled down his face. As of now four vampires are charging at Charles. They were swiftly dealt with. Charles has yet to slow down on attacking.
"Damn you, just as brutal as I knew you were, killing my minions. I wonder why king do you not use Starlight?" Faux asked.
"Why would I need to?" Charles questioned.
"Think of it as a present because I became a Baron." Faux said with a massive smile. As Faux snapped his fingers. Three Vampires much stronger than the others. They were Knight class individuals. How did he make more nobles? He must be a Baron.
"Supreme Starlight: Doomsday." Charles said as an orb of Starlight surrounded Charles. It glowed like the sun as Faux's smile only seemed to widen. As I closed my eyes. A blinding light covered everything. It took many moments as the light faded. I see Charles standing alone. Everything was destroyed. Turned to ashes and was slowly falling like snow. As we heard an insane laughter.
"What a wonderful move! If I did not use my three strongest to shield me I would be dead!" Faux laughed. Why was he so happy?
"Why are you so happy?" Charles questioned the lunatic Vampire.
"I saw the power of a god? Abraham watched Sodom be destroyed by God; he must have felt the same." Faux laughed as he walked away. What an odd person. His laughter still rang in my head.
"What are you just leaving?" Charles snarled as Faux snapped his fingers. As some more Vampires appeared at least seven of them. Each one was of High caliber. They all charged at Charles.
"These guys are no joke." I yelled down at him. As he ripped off the first one head. Blood flowed up and was absorbed by me. The second one got behind Charles and got him in an arm bar as two others were trying to gouge out his eyes. He swung the one on his back at the other two. As Charles charged. Crushing one head under his boot.
"Starlight: Whirlwind." Charles said as all of them quickly died they were light work for Charles he must have gotten much stronger.
"Nevermind they were only fodder for you." I said landing on his shoulder.
"Looks like when I kill them with Starlight then you don't gain strength." Charles mentioned. As his muscles tensed but he did not shrug. Looks like he was learning at the same insane rate that Faux was growing.
