Chapter 6 - Wind meets Gambler

I, Stern Mitternacht. Have never regretted a thing in my entire life. However.

After that Knights paranormal death by his man-bird exploding. I've now become somewhat of an, attraction.

Surrounded by the Knights and the Fairy whom I've been having a crush on, before I was disappointingly crushed by the cruel reality.

A reality that I cannot change. Maybe because it's genetically passed down through their race. Or is she just that flat?

Can't say. I've lost all my interest on her. Now, she just looks like a plain. A very gorgeous one at that.

Well, looks does matter when making such heavy decisions such as liking someone but. Come on!

Is it because of the leather armor she was always wearing that her pair of melons is like a small ass grape?!

Haa... moving on.

I need to get out of this situation. I'm not some sort of animal to be eyed by such curious gaze.

What to do. What to do? Should I just do the same thing as I did to that other guy?

Then. If I were to do that. What will I do with the fairy and the war?

I'm certain that if we don't get there on time. People will be coming to look for us. In addition. I don't wanna be branded as a murderer.

Well sure. I might've killed someone. Though, that was unintentional.

Due to having overthought too much, I didn't notice it.

H-Huh? Why's it so dark...?

That was another brain fried to a certain extent.

Next day. I woke up again by the back of the fairy.

Seems like we're continuing our journey now.

It was an interesting break.

Moving on. From what I'm currently seeing. We seem to be almost at the lower side of the mountain road.

How'd I know that? I can tell by how much distance the sky has elevated.

Finally, we're descending.

Wait... if we're still by the mountainside. Where did they put up the tent? Isn't it inconvenient to put up the tent in the middle of the road?

Surely there must've been others who were trekking this path.

As for the game. What did they even hunt?

That was when I heard a couple of Knights talking.

"Hey! Miss Frieria sure is so powerful!"

"That's right! To think she even slew a flying griffon!"

"Her Wind Magic can cut through anything!"

"The nickname Frieria of the Wind really holds up to her reputation!"

In that gossip. I finally knew what I failed to know by using my magic.

Frieria. Her full name is blurred out, but I can see at least two more words in her name.

Must've been a high-ranking noble or royalty.

She uses wind magic, huh? Pretty neat. Can't say I'm envious, but I'm really envious!

Well. Can't dwell on it too much. I don't know much about the abilities of this world. My abilities is also limited.

I've been experimenting ever since I was left alone. To what extent can I use the Dice?

I mean. I can upgrade my physical self and others. I can even pinpoint what to upgrade. I can also read information. That's all I know for now.

Maybe after having lived this life earnestly. I might just find out the full extent of my role as a 'Gambler'.

And also. Why was I thrown into this place.

Ha... too much thinking again. Might as well take another nap.

Goodnight... I-I mean, Good day...? Eh, whatever works. Peace out.
