Chapter 33 - A medical Uchiha cap 33

Because they were forced out of the land of rain because Hanzo had the advantage in his territory with abundant rains that he could use to better spread his salamander's poison, the battlefield between the 3 great villages now changed to the land of valleys, land of rivers, and land of rock.

As the days passed, the number of medical ninjas at the hospital gradually decreased because they were sent to the frontiers to support the ninjas fighting on the front lines.

Meanwhile, the Medical Ninjutsu courses were accelerated again to produce as many medical ninjas as possible in a short amount of time.

And the most experienced medical ninjas at the hospital focused more on guiding the apprentices because at any moment the war front might need more medical ninjas.

Taking advantage of the opportunity that many were showing their talents, Natsuo gradually revealed his own.

He was not capable of performing the most difficult operations, but his skill was sufficient to perform various types of operations and save the lives of many people.

When they realized Natsuo's skill, they let Natsuo take charge of some operations, thus making another medical ninja available.

Natsuo's abilities surprised many, and they lamented that he was only 10 years old. Otherwise, he would have more chakra and could perform more operations in a single day.

What they didn't know was that Natsuo spent 80% of his chakra at the beginning of the day to create shadow clones, and in that way he only displayed the amount of chakra of an average chunin.

And given his Uchiha lineage, it was understandable that he had that amount of chakra at the age of 10.

With Natsuo's physical and mental training over all these years, it was enough to raise his chakra capacity to great heights, reaching the chakra capacity of a Jonin.

But since he didn't want to attract the attention of Danzo or Hiruzen, he created several shadow clones to continue his training. As he was spending a lot of time at the hospital now, this training was very important to Natsuo.

While his only physical training consisted of opening five inner gates for as long as possible and then healing his body, his shadow clones trained their chakra transformation into the water element, sensed natural energy, and continued their fuinjutsu practice. One of his most important plans required a high level of fuinjutsu, so he was never going to neglect this skill.

While working at the hospital, and now receiving a higher salary for his greater skills, Natsuo kept a close eye on the news of the war.

As the months passed, I heard about the many battles on the borders and about the advances or setbacks of the village.

Since none of the villages were going to fight with all their strength at the beginning, the battles for now were at most between a few hundred people.

So far, most battles in this war were ambushes and attacks on bases and supply lines.

And although the worst of this war has not yet begun, many were extremely saddened because they received news of the death of a family member or lover.

Sighing at the loss of these people, Natsuo could only do his best to help the injured arriving at the hospital.

As time passed, seriously injured ninjas began arriving every day, and many of them would lose their ninja careers.

In an operating room at the Hidden Leaf Village hospital, a group of nurses stood attentively, helping the doctor in charge of the operation reach for tools.

Watching the boy perform the surgery, the nurses sighed with envy, hoping their own children might have the same skill.

Unbothered by the stares he was receiving, Natsuo continued manipulating several chakra threads to complement his operation.

As he clasped his hands and medical chakra healed the major injury on the patient, the chakra threads also healed other injuries on the other wounded organs.

While the chakra threads finished their work and returned to his body, Natsuo continued to be busy healing the main injury to his stomach and intestines.

The ninja on the operating table was a chunin who patrolled the village looking for intruders.

He had bad luck when he encountered an enemy ninja who overpowered him and he was hit by earth and wind jutsus.

Although he miraculously survived, his stomach and intestines collapsed and he did not die minutes later thanks to the timely help of nearby ninjas, one of whom was a medical ninja, who gave him emergency treatment.

Of course, when the ninjas saw his condition, they were furious because they didn't believe he would survive.

While a group of furious ninjas chased the intruders, one of them brought him back to the village.

When he was brought back, he was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment and to try to save his life.

But when they arrived at the hospital, they were surprised to find that there was a lack of specialized staff.

Due to the war, most of the best medical ninjas went to the front where ninja injuries required their skills.

While most civilian illnesses and injuries could be treated by low-level medical ninjas, there were only a few medical ninjas left at the hospital capable of saving this injured ninja, and they were all busy.

His stomach was collapsed and several organs were perforated by wind cuts.

To save this ninja, it was necessary to reconstruct the missing parts of his stomach and intestines, and this was something that the medical ninjas who were available could not do.

Only the best ninjas in the hospital could do that, but they were currently busy and the others were at the front of the war, so there was no one who could help him right at that moment.

Shaking their heads, none of the doctors present wanted to risk performing the operation and being blamed afterward.

They knew they couldn't save this ninja and went to operate on other injured ninjas with a better chance of survival.

When the doctors left, only Natsuo remained by the injured man's side.

The friend of the injured chunin had come out after listening to the doctors and could hear that he went to notify the injured man's family.

Hearing that he would notify the injured man's family, Natsuo's mind was in turmoil as memories of other families surfaced. And all of them were weeping beside the bodies of their loved ones.

On impulse, Natsuo couldn't stand it anymore and decided to perform the operation himself.

Seeking the help of some nurses, he took the injured man to an operating room and began to operate.

After 10 minutes, the superficial cuts were already healed by Natsuo's chakra threads.

Those incisions were something any doctor could do, but the problem was reconstructing the stomach and intestines.

Green chakra surrounded the collapsed stomach and a 3D image appeared in Natsuo's mind.

Second by second, the 3D image showed how the collapsed stomach regrows the lost parts.

As he did this, Natsuo's mind wondered, 'Was it worth it?'

Reconstructing an injured organ was a sign of a highly skilled medical ninja.

Even for the best medical ninjas in the hospital, only a few could say they could do a better job than Natsuo.

As the stomach recovered the lost parts, Natsuo watched the entire process unfold on his 3D map.

He was currently demonstrating a skill beyond his years, and he was sure it would attract the attention of the wrong people.

'Was it worth it?' he asked himself again.

During the last 8 months since the war began, Natsuo has witnessed the few ninjas who were able to return to the village and who were immediately taken to the hospital.

Unfortunately, they all arrived with missing limbs or some other injury that would end their ninja careers forever.

After all, if he could be saved or could recover, the medical ninjas on the front lines would have already healed him.

'It's worth it?'

Seriously injured ninjas also arrived at the hospital just to keep them stable, as they had endured all this time to see their families one last time.

'It's worth it?'

Natsuo saw all the encounters between them and their families and felt his chest tighten.

'It's worth it?'

Even the families of the few surviving ninjas wept upon seeing the wounded bodies of their relatives.

'It's

worth it?'

Natsuo was tired of seeing these sad encounters.

'It's worth it?'

She could have ignored everyone or even stopped coming to the hospital to avoid having these feelings, but she couldn't stop thinking about how she could enjoy her peace within the village because of all these ninjas fighting in the war.
