...
Earth, New York.
Skurge, having arrived on Earth once again, appeared exceptionally excited.
He took a deep breath of the air, which carried the scent of car exhaust and hot dogs, and found it incredibly familiar.
"Alright, operation begins. Step one: blend into the local environment."
Skurge looked down at the flashy Asgard armor he was wearing and felt it was far too conspicuous.
He walked into a second-hand clothing store and casually tossed down a 99-percent pure Asgard gold coin.
The owner, pleasantly surprised, eagerly attended to this strange man personally.
He even picked out an outfit from head to toe that matched his temperament.
A dark gray trench coat, a black and white patterned shirt, and black Doc Martens.
Skurge also plucked the black wig right off the owner's head to cover the battle markings on his own head.
"Perfect." Skurge checked himself in the store's display window mirror and was very satisfied with his new look.
Then, he swaggered out of the store.
"Now, time to find someone."
According to the vague clues provided by Heimdall before his departure, Odin was currently with that Homelander, who had been dubbed the God of Mankind.
"Find Homelander, and that means finding Odin." Skurge sorted out the logic.
Homelander was the most famous person on Earth; finding him was much easier than blindly searching the streets for an old man.
"Hey buddy, let me ask you something."
Skurge casually asked a roadside hot dog vendor, "Do you know where I can find Homelander?"
The vendor looked at him as if he were an idiot.
"Homelander? Do you not watch the news, pal?"
"He's the head of Vought. You want to see him? You have to go to Vought Tower, or go to that V.G.D. Headquarters in the suburbs and wait in line to make an appointment."
The vendor pointed to a building not far away.
"But I advise you not to waste your effort; the people wanting to see him every day could stretch from New York all the way to Washington."
Skurge followed the vendor's finger and saw the towering Vought Tower piercing the clouds.
"Thanks, pal. The hot dog tastes good." With that, Skurge grabbed a hot dog, shoved it into his mouth in a few bites, and turned to leave.
"Hey! That wasn't for you, and you haven't paid yet..." Before the vendor could finish, he suddenly saw a gold coin tossed over.
The vendor caught the coin, bit into it, and the rest of his words turned into: "Thank you for your generosity, may Homelander be with you!"
Skurge strode across several blocks and arrived in front of the towering Vought Tower.
He walked into the first-floor lobby of Vought Tower and approached the front desk.
"I want to see Homelander."
"Sir, do you have an appointment? However, Mr. Homelander is not currently at Vought Tower. At this time, he should be at the Vought Vanguard Hero Academy."
"Academy? Where is that?"
After getting the address, Skurge walked to the side of the road and hailed a taxi.
Half an hour later, the taxi stopped outside the main gate of the Vought Vanguard Hero Academy.
Skurge paid the fare with a gold coin and strode toward the majestic academy gate.
"Please wait, sir. Do you have an appointment?" The academy security guard stopped him.
Skurge glared: "Appointment? I'm here to see Homelander! I am an envoy of Asgard!"
Asgard?
The security guard looked him up and down; he was dressed in cheap, bargain-bin clothes.
He then pointed outside: "Get out, or I'll call the Police."
Skurge clenched his fists, forcing himself not to take action.
This was Midgard, and he didn't want to cause any extra trouble; the main mission was more important.
He immediately left the main entrance of Vought Tower while grumbling.
"This bunch of short-sighted mortals!"
If he couldn't get in through the front, there had to be another way.
He retreated to the other side of the road and let his gaze wander around the academy.
Soon, he noticed a renovation construction crew entering the campus through the side gate, one after another, carrying various tools.
Skurge walked over quickly, and while the workers were distracted chatting, he secretly swiped a crowbar from their tool cart and held it in his hand.
Then, he lowered his head, turned up his collar, blended into the group of construction workers, and quietly followed them through the side gate.
After entering the academy, Skurge immediately left the construction crew and started wandering around the vast campus.
Along the way, the various magical abilities displayed by the students also opened Skurge's eyes.
"Since when did Midgard have so many monsters..." Skurge muttered to himself.
He suddenly felt that those two "world-destroying" weapons didn't seem as appealing anymore.
However, hard work pays off.
While walking through a long corridor, Skurge caught a glimpse of the bright colors of the stars and stripes out of the corner of his eye.
Homelander was walking not far ahead, smiling and greeting the students passing by as he headed toward the end of the corridor.
It's Homelander!
Skurge felt a burst of joy and quickly followed.
Homelander, walking in front, had long ago captured the sound of footsteps following behind with his super hearing.
Homelander smirked secretly, didn't make a sound, and continued walking, pretending to be completely unaware.
Until he reached the door of the principal's office, pushed it open, and walked in.
Seeing this, Skurge followed closely behind, pushed open the door, and entered Homelander's office.
As soon as he entered, he looked around, trying to find Odin, but the office was empty except for Homelander, who had his back to him.
"Screw it, I'll just ask."
Skurge cleared his throat and began to greet him very politely.
"It is an honor to meet you, my respected..."
Hearing the voice, Homelander slowly turned around.
The moment Homelander's gaze landed on Skurge, the signature smile on his face instantly vanished.
Dark trench coat.
Messy black hair.
Stubble all over his face.
And he was holding a pitch-black crowbar in his hand!
Holy shit!
Almost as a bodily instinct, red light suddenly erupted from Homelander's eyes.
"Sss—!"
Two beams of scorching Heat Vision shot out from his eyes, aiming straight at the figure at the door.
And Skurge was bowing, following Asgardian etiquette.
The scorching red beams whistled right past his scalp, burning off the wig on his head.
The smell of something burning instantly filled the air.
"Oh! My Odin!"
Skurge's legs went weak from fright, and he fell to the floor with a "thud," the crowbar in his hand clattering to the side.
"Don't kill me! God of Mankind!"
Skurge was scared out of his wits, screaming at the top of his lungs in terror.
"I am a warrior of Asgard! My name is Skurge! I mean no harm!"
A warrior of Asgard?
The red light in Homelander's eyes dissipated, and he looked closely.
Looking at the terrified bald man sitting on the floor, he suddenly realized that this was clearly Skurge the Executioner from Thor 3!
Who the hell told you to dress like this?!
He thought that old guy was haunting him, having crossed dimensions to hunt him down.
