He slowed down as he reached one of the huge buildings in front of him....
It wasn't a regular building. It was Freedom tower. Made after the 9/11 at the spot of twin towers to give tribute to the victim of the incident and to show the America's strength.
The man sigh in relieved as he got in front of the main gate, sweat of nervousness was still coming as he was late. But still by using his all willpower and strength he enter the tower with sweat and a nervous grin.
He reach the reception. The receptionist was wearing the same dress as him, her hair was blond and straight but something was different about her. Something attracting. Her eye color was green like a leaf after the rain, how it's colors shine in the droplets of water
The receptionist said in a blank tone while working.
"How can I help you, sir? "
The man reply nervously with a nervous smile.
"I am here for an interview. Can you tell me which room I have to go? I am already late.
The women reply that the man didn't even see coming. The reply that will one eighty rotate his emotions
" Sorry but the interview is already done and we had already selected"
The man freeze as his heart skip a beat listening it. The word hit him like a bullet. He could work at the Freedom tower. But his laziness and carelessnes stop it from doing in. His face down starting the reception table, his smiley face fade, replace with the anger and sadness face, tears about to come from his eyes. He griths his teeth in anger. He was blaming himself in the mind, saying.
"Why are you so lazy? I can work her but I am to stupid!! Do I even deserve to work in high companies? Am I gonna be forever poor? "
As he was staring the table in sadness. He noticed a wooden mask with two holes for the eyes on it. The receptionist saw this and immediately grab the mask above the table.
Then the receptionist say in a panicking tone
"Sir!! I think that you should go now. "
Sometimes later the man was in the coffee shop. Still disappoint and angry from himself. He try to form a smile but fails.
The man said to the cashier girl quietly.
"Can I get a black coffee"
The cashier ask with the blank tone
" That will be 10$"
The man pull out the wallet from his pocket. He saw only a 100 dollar bill in it. He pull it out. Before giving it he hesitate for a second, but at the end he just hand it over.
He take the coffee and the change and sit in the last table, he put the coffee on the table, staring his wallet.
He said to himself in a quite and disappointed tone.
"Only 90 dollars in this economy. I should have woke up early.... "
He exhale sharply. Sometimes later after finishing his coffee he step outside the shop. As soon as he step outside the shop...
"BOOM!!!!"
The man got caught off guard by the blast!!! He look at the direction of what had happened. His eyes widen in surprise, his mouth strech. He saw that the Freedom tower meeting the same fate as the old twin towers. There was a blast in that tower, it was burning up, about to collapse. The tower that made to gave honour to the twin towers was also falling off like them. But right now it wasn't a plane, it was a bomb. Which was secretly hiding in the tower.
The man still cannot load what has happened. The people around him were running in fear of the explosion, screaming everywhere. Every single vehicle around him was driving in the full speed at the opposite direction of the the blast.
Suddenly a car pass just beside the man. He saw some humans wearing a "red cloak with a wodden make and a hole on it for eyes". He didn't knew who were they but then he notice something... That same green shiny eyes...
The car passes beside him with full speed.... The man's brain trying to load what has happened. But in this mess he also started to run with other people's.
He ran.
As he was running, a man shouted behind him.
"Noah!! Come here. "
The man stops as a car beside him. Inside was the man's friend name Ron Smith.... His face pale and scared.
He said with a panicking tone
"Fast come inside!!! We have to get out from her!!!"
The man's real name was Noah Williams. Without thinking twice
Noah sits in the front seat and then Ron slammed the acceleration with full speed as the tower burned behind him
