Chapter 25 - CHAPTER 25 : FIRST CUSTOMER ?

CHAPTER - FIRST CUSTOMER ?

I stood before the ruined three-floor building. Yeah... you're right. This was my mother's

restaurant.

Honestly, I didn't come here often even when she was alive. And after she passed... I

never visited at all.

Now it looked like a haunted house someone forgot to burn down. Just looking at it

made my chest feel tight.

Anyway, the building had three floors: one underground, two above ground.

The underground floor? That's going to be my training center. Why?

Pretty simple — just because I'm not going to the academy doesn't mean this world

isn't dangerous.

So yeah, training center. Very important.

The first floor will be the restaurant. It'll be good. Eat as much as you want — after

paying, of course.

The second floor… I'll tell you later, buddy.

Business won't be a problem. This place is right in the alley next to Valarian Academy,

so money will come.

Trouble too, probably.

And now, let's deal with the real problem.

"So what the fuck are you doing here, Viara? Aren't you supposed to be in the academy

right now?"

"Nope. I also dropped out. Like you."

"Don't tell me your head got hit during the fight," I said with a mocking smile.

"No, fucker. I decided to follow you. You know why? Madam Scarlet said you becamethis strong in four months.

So I decided to follow you."

I was actually speechless. He followed me for that reason? How pathetic.

But his expression was serious. In the novel, they didn't call him a lunatic for nothing.

Well… him staying with me is good. At least I'm not alone. And the novel plot? As

always — to hell with the plot.

"You can stay with me. But remember, if you break anything in my restaurant, I will

personally send you to hell."

For some reason, Viara actually looked scared.

"Let's go. We have to clean this place," I said, walking toward the entrance. Viara

followed me.

We started cleaning the restaurant. It had been abandoned for half a year, so it needed

a lot of work.

We spent almost six hours cleaning. For some reason, the tables and furniture were still

fine. Lucky us.

Then the ingredients we ordered arrived. It was a delivery service, but the vehicle

looked like a van from Earth.

We moved everything into the kitchen.

Another vehicle came — same design, but twice as big. It had two beds and some

furniture. Why?

Because we were going to live on the second floor. Goodbye to my rented home, I

guess.

We carried everything upstairs. Then we came back down while talking.

"So, can you eat, buddy?" Viara asked.

I stared at him. "What kind of question is that?"

"Sorry, wrong question. I mean… can you cook?"

"Believe it or not, Viara, I am a top-level cook."

"Then good. We won't starve," Viara said.

I wasn't lying. My Earth parents were cooks — one a western specialist, the other a top

pastry chef.

And my mother in this world was a master of local cuisine.

Do you think the son of three cooks can't cook? My ass. I learned everything.

We reached the restaurant floor. And then we saw her.

A girl around five years old, sitting on one of the seats, holding a piece of paper.

A small suitcase sat beside her.

Me and Viara froze.

Is this… our first customer? But I haven't even opened the restaurant yet.
