Morning light crept through the stone corridors of the organization.
Outside, Ifechukwu stood with his hands behind his back, calm as ever.
Chima stepped out to meet him—shirtless, muscles tense, lightning energy faintly humming beneath his skin.
"You're early," Ifechukwu said.
"I don't like wasting time," Chima replied.
Ifechukwu turned and pointed at a tall stone wall beside the courtyard.
"Hit that wall," he said.
Chima raised an eyebrow. "That's it?"
"Until it cracks," Ifechukwu added. "And do not use your magic. That wall is powered by strength magic."
Chima stepped forward without another word.
The Trial
THUD.
His fist slammed into the wall.
Again.
And again.
The wall didn't move.
Minutes passed. Sweat rolled down his body. His knuckles burned, pain shooting through his arms. Still, Chima didn't stop.
He clenched his teeth.
Never give up.
With one final punch—
CRACK.
A thin fracture ran through the stone.
Chima staggered back, breathing heavily.
Ifechukwu smiled."Good job."
The Fundamentals of Magic
"Now," Ifechukwu said, raising his hand, "listen carefully."
Symbols formed in the air, glowing softly as he spoke.
"There are different types of magic."
He gestured, and the symbols shifted.
Elemental magic — fire, lightning, ice. "Like yours."
Mind magic — illusion, hypnosis, domination. "Like mine."
Control magic — gravity, time pressure, force.
Spiritual magic — soul transfer, possession, ancestral power.
"In this organization," he continued, "we have over 300 magic masters."
Chima whistled. "So… you're the strongest?"
Ifechukwu laughed.
"Not even close."
Chima blinked. "Seriously?"
"There are three people stronger than me here."
Chima smirked. "So you're weak. Damn."
Ifechukwu's smile vanished.
"I am still your master," he said firmly.
The Rules of Magic
Ifechukwu snapped his fingers.
A glowing board appeared, floating between them.
THE RULES OF MAGIC
Magic drains stamina.
The calmer you control your emotions, the stronger your magic becomes.
Every magic has another magic it cannot affect.(Rubber counters lightning.)
Overuse leads to extreme pain… or worse.
Chima nodded slowly."Now I know."
Interrupted Peace
Later, in the dining hall, Chima ate hungrily.
Ifechukwu sat across from him.
"As your next test," he said, "I'll find you a sparring partner."
Before Chima could reply—
🚨 WEEEEOOO! 🚨
An alarm echoed through the halls.
A voice boomed overhead:
"ALERT. A CRIMINAL WITH SHADOW MAGIC HAS ESCAPED PRISON."
Chima stood up immediately, lightning flickering faintly around his eyes.
He smiled.
"There's no need for a sparring match," he said."I just found a victim."
