Arvin smiled toughly, wiping away a tear that was about to fall from the corner of Allen's eye.
"That has passed, Allen. Don't cry over it anymore." said Arvin gently. "Now, I have changed my future. I have changed the storyline with you. Honestly, I don't know what will happen in the future for sure after I changed my fate drastically like this."
"My dear Husband..." Allen cupped Arvin's face, "we will face it together! Whatever happens."
"I believe in you, Allen." answered Arvin, his heart feeling warm.
Allen nodded, then held both of Arvin's cheeks and squished them adorably and affectionately. Then, his nose sniffed lightly and he chuckled.
"My Dear Husband, let's take a real bath together!" invited Allen with an amused tone. "Look at us, our bodies are sticky with sweat and smell unclear like this. Hahaha."
Arvin laughed along, realizing their condition was indeed very messy. "Yes! You're right. Let's bathe and clean ourselves."
Arvin nodded in agreement. They spent time together under the warm shower, soaping each other's backs and cleaning each other's bodies with great care and affection.
After finishing the bath and drying their bodies, Arvin didn't let Allen walk alone. He immediately lifted Allen's body.
"Up!"
Arvin carried Allen bridal style like a queen, taking him out of the bathroom towards the bedroom.
Wow! He really spoils me, thought Allen while wrapping his arms around Arvin's neck. I never expected that all this time he acted rough and cruel just because he wanted to make me hate him to awaken my dormant power. He sacrificed his own reputation for me.
Allen gazed at his husband's firm jaw. But now, I don't care about that power or fate anymore! I don't want my husband to suffer alone. Forever, I will always be by his side as his strength.
Arriving at the edge of the bed, Arvin lowered Allen carefully. He took Allen's clean clothes from his bag near the wardrobe. He also took out his own clothes from inside his dimensional storage space, then placed the two sets of clothes on the bed.
Patiently, Arvin put the sleepwear on Allen, buttoning his shirt one by one. Allen did the same, helping Arvin put on his sleepwear and straightening his collar.
What did I dream last night? murmured Allen in his mind. Right now, I just dressed Arvin. And we are both bound by a sacred marriage contract that cannot possibly be cancelled.
Allen looked at Arvin's sturdy body, who was now his husband. I will never let you suffer! I will not betray you and forever, I will always be by your side until the end!
The atmosphere felt so peaceful and domestic.
"My dear Allen," said Arvin suddenly while Allen was looking at his body, "when can I enjoy that cooking of yours that you boast about?"
Thoughts about his husband's fate and his own faded, then he looked around the luxurious hotel room that was not theirs.
"Hmm... I really want to cook for you, Arvin. But there is no kitchen here, and cooking is forbidden in the dorm." complained Allen. "If only we had our own house, we could live together in that house just the two of us, and I could cook for you every day!"
Hearing that simple dream, Arvin snapped his fingers.
"Is that really the only problem? In that case, tomorrow morning, let's go buy a house at the merchant guild!"
Allen was stunned hearing that casual remark. His eyes blinked in disbelief. He never expected that Arvin would so easily grant a wish he had just mentioned in passing.
"B-Buy a house?" stammered Allen. "B-But, houses in the capital are very expensive, Arvin. Do you have that much money? We are still students. Even though you are from a high-class noble family, surely your parents wouldn't allow you to use money to buy a house."
Arvin smirked slightly. Without speaking, he directed his hand over the empty bed. His storage ring glowed faintly again.
Clink! Clink! Clink!
Pile after pile of money, lots of jewelry, and high-value magic crystals fell from the air, piling up like a mountain on the mattress until the silk sheets were almost invisible.
Allen's eyes widened until they almost popped out. He had never seen so much money and luxury items in his entire life.
"I-Is... Is this a dream?"
With trembling hands, Allen touched the pile of gold coins. It felt cold and real. Still unsure, he pinched his own cheek hard.
"Ouch! It hurts!" he squeaked.
Seeing Allen's innocent and extremely adorable behavior, Arvin laughed out loud. His laughter was free, filling the room.
"Hahaha! You are so funny!" said Arvin while hugging Allen's waist from the side. "This is reality, my Dear Allen. This is not a dream. This money is more than enough to buy even the most luxurious mansion in the capital. Even if I wanted to, I could buy a royal palace! So, tomorrow we will buy a house for us both to live in!"
Allen's face lit up brightly, brighter than the pile of gold in front of him.
"Really?! We're going to have our own house?" he exclaimed enthusiastically, forgetting his shock. "In that case, we don't just need a house! We also have to buy complete cooking equipment, beautiful plates, home furnishings, nice curtains, and so on!"
Allen began to babble at length about decoration plans for their future home with overflowing spirit.
Arvin looked at him with full love, then kissed Allen's cheek briefly.
"Of course, Allen. Just buy whatever you need and want! My money is your money too now."
"Really?" exclaimed Allen enthusiastically. "In that case, let's go to sleep immediately so we won't oversleep tomorrow morning!"
Arvin nodded in agreement, then stored all that money and luxury jewelry back into his dimensional storage space. Using wind magic to clean their bed which might be dirty from the dust of the money and jewelry.
After it was deemed clean, Arvin and Allen immediately went to sleep on the bed, both looking at each other.
Mwah!
"Good night, my dear Husband...." greeted Allen affectionately.
"Good night too, Allen." replied Arvin, followed by a sincere smile in front of him.
And then, they slept soundly, with Allen hugging Arvin's body from the side like hugging a bolster pillow.
