Chapter 171 - Pre-Departure Routines

The chime of the bell echoed throughout the academy, signaling the end of classes. Inside Class 1-A, Professor Elliana tidied up her lesson notes and walked toward the door.

The large wooden door creaked open. Professor Elliana stepped into the corridor gracefully. However, her footsteps halted instantly when her eyes caught the figure of a blue-haired youth leaning casually against the wall.

"Arvin?" greeted Professor Elliana with a surprised look on her face. "Why didn't you come into the classroom if you've been out here this whole time?"

Hearing his homeroom teacher's voice, Arvin immediately straightened his posture.

"I felt it would be inappropriate to suddenly enter while the lesson was ongoing, Professor." Arvin answered in a polite tone. "That's why I decided to just wait here until your class ended."

Professor Elliana sighed softly, smiling faintly at the etiquette of the student who was actually the rightful owner of this academy. "Alright, don't worry about it." she replied gently. "So, have you finished reading the books in the library?"

"Yes, Professor." Arvin answered quickly, not wanting to discuss the library any further. He immediately shifted the conversation to a more important matter. "Oh, by the way, Professor, may I know who will be accompanying me as the tournament participants representing our academy?"

Professor Elliana looked at Arvin with a perplexed gaze. "Isn't it already a given that it will be you and your four spouses? Why are you asking me something you already know the answer to?"

Arvin was stunned for a moment. He truly never expected that the board of teachers would instantly designate him and his four spouses altogether as the students representing the Astoria Academy.

However, that academy's decision actually became a golden loophole that smoothed out his plans. With the status of official delegates, bringing Allen, Alrain, Ordion, and Alvein into the Victoriaz Kingdom's library later would be a very easy task.

A subtle smile formed on Arvin's lips. "Understood, Professor. If that is the decision, I will do my best for our academy!"

Professor Elliana smiled in satisfaction hearing the determination from the most genius student, who was also the owner of the academy. With the strength possessed by Arvin and his four spouses, she was absolutely certain that Astoria Academy would be this year's winner.

....

....

The days in the capital passed by so quickly. Before they knew it, time had arrived at the day right before the scheduled departure of the academy delegates to the Victoriaz Kingdom.

During that preparation period, Arvin's routine was truly packed. Besides training Allen, Alrain, Ordion, Alvein, and Yonna in magic and swordsmanship in the afternoons, he also fulfilled his role as a husband. Every night, he gladly satisfied the biological needs of his four spouses in turns to maintain their happy smiles.

Although there was initially a sense of frustration from failing to find the cloning magic book, thanks to the support and patience of his spouses, Arvin managed to fully restore his confidence.

....

In the afternoon of that same day, inside the lounge on the second floor of the mansion, Arvin approached Yonna who was sitting down.

"Yonna..." Arvin called out as he placed a sum of money on the table. "Here is 2,000 Gold for your pocket money while we are gone."

Yonna's eyes widened perfectly seeing the massive amount of money in front of her. "O-Okay... thank you very much!" Yonna answered as she accepted the money. She couldn't refuse, as she knew very well that her brother-in-law deeply disliked it when his gifts were rejected.

Yonna fell silent for a moment before speaking up again. "Also... may I invite two of my co-workers to stay here so I won't be lonely in such a large mansion?"

Hearing that request, Arvin's expression stiffened slightly. "As long as they are women, I don't mind." Arvin answered in a firm tone. "But if they turn out to be men... then I will kill them."

"Hahaha!" Yonna laughed quite loudly hearing the blunt threat coming from her brother-in-law's mouth. "You don't need to worry. The two of them are women. Besides, I've also become quite strong after receiving training from you."

Hearing that assurance, Arvin felt relieved. Even so, a sliver of worry about leaving his family behind still subtly lingered on the face of the youth who was the head of the household in that mansion.

"Occasionally, I will return here using teleportation magic to check on your condition." Arvin said, ensuring her safety, before stepping toward the stairs. "I am going to take a bath first. Do you want to bathe with me?"

"You go ahead and bathe first. I will be heading to the kitchen soon to prepare dinner together with the four of them." she declined gently.

Arvin nodded in understanding, then walked down the stairs, leaving Yonna alone in the lounge.

After Arvin left, Yonna stared at the back of the head of the household as he disappeared behind the stairs. An admiring smile was etched on her face.

Arvin is truly a good and understanding husband. He is the ideal husband figure not only for his four spouses, but for all women in this world. As long as I live here with him, I always feel safe and peaceful. I am even treated like his own wife.

The next day, the capital's sky looked incredibly bright. Arvin walked side by side with his four spouses toward the academy.

However, when they were not far from the main gates, their footsteps halted. The sight before them was quite surprising. There were so many horse-drawn carriages lined up neatly outside the gates, stretching out and covering the edge of the road.

The presence of those carriages made the five of them look at each other.

Why are there so many carriages here? Arvin thought, his brow furrowing in confusion. Has the academy been given time off so that many people want to go and watch the tournament?

As soon as Arvin and his four spouses stepped into the academy's inner courtyard, they saw Dean Saires already standing alongside the board of teachers. Behind them, hundreds of students had gathered neatly and enthusiastically, as if they were indeed waiting for the arrival of the five representatives of the academy.

"Oh, you've arrived!" Dean Saires greeted with a wide smile welcoming them. "Everyone has been looking forward to the arrival of the five of you."

"But, why are there so many people here, Dean?" Allen asked in confusion.

"Everyone wants to witness firsthand the battles of the four of you, the handsome youths whom Arvin has chosen to be his spouses." the Dean answered in a proud tone. "They are very curious and enthusiastic. Therefore, we decided to completely suspend academy activities for twenty-five days so that all of them can come along as supporters."

"How long is the duration of our journey to the Victoriaz Kingdom, Dean Saires?" Alvein asked, chiming in.

"It will take approximately ten days of travel by carriage. Come, let's depart now!"

Guided by the instructions of the teachers, they began to walk out of the academy courtyard to board the rows of parked horse-drawn carriages.

The long journey to the Victoriaz Kingdom, the place where the annual tournament was held, thus began. New atmospheres and sceneries were ready to welcome Arvin and his four spouses.
