The request that had just come out of Arvin's mouth was immediately answered with a quick and firm nod from his fourth spouse.
"If that is indeed your wish, I will gladly go with you tonight." Alvein answered without asking many questions.
On the other hand, Allen, who was sitting not far from them, deeply understood his husband's train of thought. As the person who had accompanied Arvin the longest, Allen immediately realized that his husband must have found something in that library.
Without needing to make a sound, the youth immediately turned his head toward Alrain and Ordion, then gave a forbidding signal with a slow shake of his head. The two of them instantly understood and held back their intention to interfere.
However, that did not apply to Kylen. The prince, who did not yet fully understand the secret dynamics between them, felt he did not want to be left behind just like that after he was finally officially accepted.
"Darling, I am coming along!" Kylen exclaimed suddenly, stepping forward approaching Arvin.
"I am sorry, Kylen, but for this matter, I only want to go alone with Alvein." Arvin refused with a very gentle tone, hoping his future spouse could understand the situation. "It is better for you to just stay here and rest with the three of them."
"I don't want to! I still want to go with you!" Kylen argued stubbornly.
Seeing the prince's stubbornness, Allen sighed and tried to mediate. "Kylen, just let the two of them go." Allen coaxed, trying to make the prince understand. "Right now, our husband has to do something very secret and—"
"I don't care!" Kylen cut in quickly, his eyes staring sharply. "I still want to go with him wherever he goes! As his future spouse, I also have the right and must know what he actually wants to do out there secretly!"
Seeing Kylen insisting and not giving up, Arvin finally let out a soft sigh. Arguing any longer in the middle of the hall would only attract other people's attention.
"Alright, you may come." Arvin decided, giving in. "But, there is one absolute condition you must obey. You are strictly forbidden from telling anyone in this world about anything you see tonight! Can you promise that?"
Hearing that doubtful warning, Kylen instead stepped closer until there was no distance between them. He leaned his face toward Arvin's ear.
"Who do you think I am?" he whispered with a sharp hiss, feeling his pride and sincere feelings were being doubted. "Is it wrong if I just want to know what my future husband is doing so that I can feel at ease?"
Kylen tightly gripped the sleeve of his future husband's uniform. "Just so you know, Darling! You are my future husband! How could I ever be willing to betray and leak my own husband's secrets to other people! I am still sane, Stupid Darling!"
Seeing the flash of anger mixed with disappointment in the prince's eyes, Arvin felt bad for doubting his loyalty simply due to excessive vigilance.
"You are right. I apologize for doubting you just now." Arvin said sincerely, gently rubbing Kylen's hand that was gripping his arm.
"I understand why you are being cautious like this!" Kylen whispered again, his gaze now turning very deep and full of determination. "But if in your heart you still doubt me, just tell me what I must do right now so you can trust me! Whatever it is, I will definitely do it without hesitation, even if you ask me to die in front of you!"
Arvin was quite surprised to hear the extreme sentence Kylen had just thrown at him. The words that came out of his future spouse's mouth instantly awakened a very familiar memory in his head.
When he spoke that vow of loyalty without the slightest hesitation, I am reminded of Allen's words in the past. Arvin thought, staring intently at Kylen's face, feeling amazed. His stubbornness, his sincerity, and his courage... Kylen is like a second version of Allen with a different background. Truly interesting.
Time continued to creep by until the night grew deeper.
Exactly when midnight arrived and all the house's occupants had fallen into a deep sleep, the six youths gathered secretly. Arvin, Alvein, and Kylen prepared to sneak out, accompanied by Allen, Alrain, and Ordion, who escorted them to the outer bounds of the building.
"Alright, we will be going now." Arvin said when they were already standing in the quiet and dark terrace area of the house.
"Yes, go carefully." Allen replied representing the others, his voice kept low. "But remember, once your business there is done, the three of you must return here immediately before anyone else realizes your absence."
Arvin nodded in understanding. He then turned his body and looked toward Alvein and Kylen standing behind him.
"Close your eyes, both of you!" Arvin ordered softly.
Without arguing in the slightest, Alvein and Kylen closed their eyes tightly.
Then, Arvin centered all his focus on activating the teleportation magic directly aimed at the Victoriaz academy library.
"We are leaving now!"
"Yes, My Husband / My Love / My Dear!" answered Allen, Alrain, and Ordion simultaneously in a whispering voice.
Zap!
In a matter of less than a second, the bodies of Arvin, Alvein, and Kylen were enveloped by a flash of golden light and immediately disappeared from the sight of Allen, Alrain, and Ordion, leaving behind the silence of the night filled only by the rhythm of insects humming merrily around the house's yard.
"Let's go inside!" Allen invited after ensuring their husband's safe departure. He began to open the house door slowly. Alrain and Ordion followed, trailing the steps of the first spouse from behind.
In another place, the three of them had arrived perfectly inside the Victoriaz academy library building.
The situation inside was pitch black and very silent. The moment his feet touched the library's wooden floor, Arvin immediately spread his mana, checking for life energy and the aura of presence in every corner of the room. After a few tense seconds, he found no presence or pulse of life of anyone around them.
"Open your eyes now, both of you, and remember, do not make any noise." Arvin ordered with a very gentle voice, almost like a gust of wind.
Alvein and Kylen opened their eyes simultaneously. The prince immediately blinked several times, trying to adjust his eyes to the darkness.
Right now, realizing that he was already surrounded by giant bookshelves and no longer on the house's terrace, an immense shock hit his chest.
"Darling!" Kylen whispered enthusiastically, unable to contain his awe while gripping Arvin's sleeve. "Did you just use teleportation magic?"
"Yes, you are right!" Arvin answered casually, yet his eyes stared sharply at Kylen in the midst of the darkness. "And I highly expect you to truly keep your promise not to say anything ab—"
Mwah!
Before Arvin could finish his warning sentence, Kylen directly silenced his mouth with a quick kiss filled with endearing fondness.
Not only that, the prince also immediately wrapped both of his arms and gave a tight hug around his future husband's neck.
Beside them, Alvein only watched the moment in silence without giving any comment.
Kylen released his kiss, then pressed his forehead against Arvin's forehead.
"I already told you, whatever your secret is, I will never leak it, even if my body has to be tortured!" Kylen whispered firmly in front of Arvin's lips, his tone vibrating, holding back annoyance for constantly being cautioned.
Kylen then pouted coquettishly. "After this night passes, I don't care! You must spoil me completely to make up for your mistake! My heart is truly hurt and offended because you kept doubting my loyalty like that!"
Receiving such a sudden attack and demand for compensation spoken in a very cute manner, Arvin could only smile in resignation and stroke Kylen's back gently.
"Okay... okay, I promise to spoil you after all our business here ends smoothly." Arvin whispered to soothe him.
After Kylen let go of his hug, Arvin turned to Alvein who was standing calmly near them. His facial expression turned very serious again.
"Alvein, tonight I really need your help." Arvin said in a whisper. "Can I ask for your help to use your magic and guard the area around this library? Make sure that not a single academy security guard finds out that we are sneaking in here."
Alvein nodded firmly, his sharp eyes scanning the library's darkness.
"Okay, Honey. Just leave this security matter to me!" Alvein answered firmly. "I will guard this place so that not a single person will know we sneaked in here."
