Chapter 14: Wukong Pterosaur
"You're a navigator?"
He looked at Camon in surprise.
"Y-yes, I am."
Camon nodded nervously.
Jiang Qize was a little taken aback. Originally, he hadn't killed Camon because he wanted to see what would happen to this world's story if so many of the original events were disrupted. Besides, Camon was just a small fry—killing or sparing him made no real difference—so he'd let him go.
But he hadn't expected the guy to actually be a navigator.
That was an unexpected bonus.
Until now, Jiang Qize could travel freely across the sea, but he had no sense of direction—just drifting wherever fate took him.
Having a navigator changed everything. With someone to chart a course, he'd finally have a destination and efficiency.
"From now on, you'll be my navigator."
Jiang Qize said with a smile.
"Yes, sir!"
Camon lowered his head and answered quickly, not daring to refuse.
"Keep his head as proof, and check your ship to see if there's anything valuable aboard."
With that, Jiang Qize climbed onto the back of his Raptorexex, while the little gray gorilla perched atop the creature's head. The small-framed Camon followed behind. This strange trio soon disappeared into the forest.

On the coast of Treasure Island, aboard the Kasha Pirates' ship—
"Not bad at all. Three million Berries." Jiang Qize grinned as he looked at the cash in the chest.
Three million Berries—enough for three random dinosaur summons.
He now had more than twenty-three million in total.
"Let's do three random summons."
He opened the system's summoning interface.
[Random Summon]: 1,000,000
[Specific Summon]: 10,000,000
He tapped the random summon option.
The interface shifted—a massive wheel appeared before him, displaying images of various dinosaurs.
A huge pointer at the center began to spin rapidly.
Tick, tick, tick…
As the pointer slowed and came to a stop, it landed on a dinosaur with a head resembling a chicken's.
[Ding! You have obtained one OviRaptorex!]
As the message chimed, a gray-skinned, ostrich-like dinosaur appeared before him.
Its claws were long and birdlike, though much sharper, and its back was covered in brown scales.
"Yaa~"
The OviRaptorex gave a shrill cry.

[Type]: Omnivorous Dinosaur
[Abilities]:
– Godspeed (extremely fast movement)
– Stealth (excellent concealment ability)
– Super Smell (can clearly distinguish scents in the air)
– Theft (innate talent for stealing)

Looking at its stats, Jiang Qize couldn't help but feel exasperated.
What was he supposed to do with that?
It clearly wasn't built for fighting—probably couldn't even beat a decent pirate.
That one-tenth attribute boost was basically useless. Shaking his head, he proceeded with the next summon.
Once again, the wheel spun.
[Ding! You have obtained one Wukong Pterosaur!]
As the sound fell, a tiny, thirty-centimeter-long dinosaur appeared above the OviRaptorex's head. It looked somewhat like a toucan.

[Ability]: Sharp Eyes (can clearly see targets within a one-kilometer range)
[Strength]: Ordinary
[Ding! You have gained one-tenth of the Wukong Pterosaur's attributes.]
A faint, nearly insignificant power flowed into his body, just enough to make his muscles tense slightly.
When he looked at this so-called dinosaur, the corner of his mouth twitched.
What the hell? Were these meant to be pets?
"Cheap summons really are trash."
He finally realized that his first pull—the Raptorexex—must have been the system's "first-time reward."
