Chapter 101: Capone Bege
When the door opened and she saw Jiang Qize standing there, Celine 's gaze fell on his cold, pale features. A wave of heat radiated from him, making her pause in surprise.
But she quickly composed herself, thinking, Whiter than me? Seriously…
Then her eyes drifted over his flawless skin and the sharply defined lines of his physique, and her heart skipped a beat.
"Let's go."
Jiang Qize hadn't noticed her staring and spoke lightly.
Celine 's cheeks warmed. She nodded and hurriedly turned to lead the way.
Her heart was pounding like crazy, nerves fried. Celine , Celine , what are you doing?
She brought Jiang Qize into an office.
On the sofa sat a figure—though… a rather small one.
The moment they entered, the figure scrambled to his feet, rushed up to Jiang Qize, and dropped to one knee.
Thud!
The sudden movement startled Celine .
Jiang Qize looked at the man before him, brow furrowing.
He was a short man, barely around one-sixty in height, dressed in a black pinstripe suit with a green scarf around his neck. His face was on the ugly side, with a sharp nose.
"Master!"
The man addressed Jiang Qize.
"Hm? And you are?" Jiang Qize already had an idea, but asked calmly.
"Master, I am Capone Bege, from the West Blue."
The man introduced himself.
Jiang Qize froze for a moment at the name.
Of course he knew who this was—the Castle-Castle Fruit user and a future Supernova.
He hadn't expected to run into him here.
Which meant… he hadn't eaten the Castle-Castle Fruit yet?
"What Devil Fruit have you eaten?"
He asked in an even tone.
Capone Bege stiffened, then quickly stood. His body began to shift, transforming into a long, slender dinosaur—five meters long, three meters tall—with its most striking feature being its forelimbs: each claw curved like a scythe.
A… therizinosaur.
It looked fierce, but it was a herbivore.
Jiang Qize nodded.
"Leave us," he said to Celine .
"Yes!"
Celine was curious, but she knew well enough that some things were better left unknown.
She stepped out and closed the door behind her.
"Change back," he said to Capone Bege.
"Yes, sir."
Capone Bege reverted.
"From now on, call me 'sir.' No need for 'master.' Sit."
Jiang Qize took a seat on the sofa.
"Yes!"
"Tell me how you ended up here."
"Yes, mas—sir."
And Capone Bege began explaining how he came to find him.
After listening, Jiang Qize finally understood his situation.
This guy's standing within the Capone family in the West Blue had taken a hit because he spent a fortune buying a dinosaur-type Devil Fruit from Doflamingo, using family funds. His older brother, Capone Loll, found out and suppressed him.
Then his father gave him a harsh scolding.
Right at that time, Capone Bege saw Qize's bounty poster, and the dinosaur fruit reacted.
So he came looking for him, abandoning his own power base entirely.
Hearing all this, Jiang Qize couldn't help finding it amusing.
"What's your current position within the family?"
Jiang Qize asked after a moment's thought.
Capone Bege might not look like much right now, but he still had value. If he molded him into an underground emperor, the benefits would be tremendous—nothing but advantages.
