Official Complaint
Zoro carried me over his shoulder like a sack of rice the entire way to the hills. My head bumped against his back with every step.
"You can put me down now," I growled. "I'm fine."
"You sure? You said you were seeing unicorns two minutes ago."
"That was the concussion. I'm healed."
He dropped me without ceremony. I hit the ground with a dull thud.
"Thanks," I muttered as I got back up.

"System," I whispered as I walked behind the group. "I want to file an official complaint."
[NATURE OF THE COMPLAINT?]
"That was the most painful hit of my life. MORE painful than the cut on the boat. MORE painful than the bullets during the fight with Buggy. How is that possible if I'm immortal?"

I stopped dead. "What?"

I blinked. "You're… you're telling me Nami is more dangerous than some SCPs?"

"Great. Just great."
Kaya's Mansion
We arrived in front of a large mansion. White. Elegant. Surrounded by a magnificent garden with centuries-old trees and carefully tended flowers.
Usopp, who had recovered from his KO, motioned for us to hide behind a bush.
"This is where Kaya lives!" he whispered. "She's been sick for a long time, so I come tell her stories to make her laugh."
Luffy tilted his head. "Is she rich?"
"Very."
"Does she have a ship?"
"Probably several."
Luffy's eyes lit up. "WE'RE GONNA ASK HER FOR A SHIP!"
"NO!" Usopp hissed. "You can't just barge in like that! She's fragile!"
Too late. Luffy was already running toward the mansion.
"LUFFY!" Nami shouted. "GET BACK HERE!"
We followed with sighs.
Usopp climbed onto a tree branch that lined up with a second-floor window. We stayed below, watching.
A young girl appeared at the window. Blonde hair. Pale face. A weak but sincere smile. Kaya.
"Usopp!" she said happily. "You came back!"
"Of course! I always come to see you!"
She looked closer and frowned. "Why is your face swollen?"
Usopp touched his bruised nose and laughed nervously. "Oh, this? I fought a giant gorilla! It was three meters tall and weighed a ton, but I beat it!"
Technically, that wasn't too far from the truth.
Kaya laughed softly. "You always tell such incredible stories."
BEEP. BEEP. BEEP.
I froze.

My heart raced. Fifteen meters? That was inside the mansion. Right there.
"System, what is it?"

Small? Organic? That could be anything.
That's when a cold voice rang out from inside the mansion.
"Miss Kaya, you should go back inside. This… individual… is not suitable company."
A tall, thin man stepped into the garden. Glasses. Impeccable suit. Arrogant expression. Kurahadol—or rather, Kuro.
Usopp turned toward him, irritated. "Hey! I'm her friend!"
"A friend?" Kuro looked at him with contempt. "You're nothing but a pathetic pirate. Just like your father. A coward who abandoned his family to play adventurer."
Usopp's face turned red. "TAKE THAT BACK!"
"Why? It's the truth. Your father was a failure. And you're following in his footsteps."
BEEP. BEEP. BEEP.[ANOMALY: 10 METERS][IT IS APPROACHING]
I scanned the garden, searching for the source. Then I saw it.
A rabbit.
Small. White. Cute. With floppy ears and shiny black eyes.
It hopped happily through the garden, approaching Kaya's window.

Kaya leaned out the window, smiling at the rabbit. "Walter! Come here, my little one!"
The rabbit perked up its ears and leapt to her. She held it in her arms with a radiant smile.
"It's my rabbit. He always cheers me up."
The Incident
Kuro came down the mansion steps, his hard gaze fixed on Usopp. "You should leave. You are not welcome here."
"I AM KAYA'S FRIEND!" Usopp shouted. "NOT YOU!"
"You are a bad influence. A liar. A nobody living off ridiculous tales."
"MY FATHER IS A BRAVE MAN!"
"Your father is a deserter. He abandoned you. Just as you would abandon Miss Kaya if given the chance."
"THAT'S A LIE!"
The argument escalated. Their voices rose, louder and more aggressive. Kuro climbed onto the tree, moving closer to Usopp in a threatening manner.
Everyone was watching now. Luffy, Zoro, Nami, me. Even the mansion's servants watched from the windows.
Kuro suddenly reached toward Kaya. "Give me that filthy creature. It has no place in your arms."
"NO!" Kaya clutched Walter tightly. "He's mine!"
Kuro tore the rabbit from her hands with sudden violence. Walter squeaked.
"GIVE HIM BACK!" Kaya cried, tears in her eyes.
But Kuro was already ignoring her, climbing down the tree while continuing to argue with Usopp. "You see? Even his own mistress can't control him! Just like you and your pathetic life!"
"SHUT UP!"
They were shouting so loudly that no one noticed.
No one saw Walter open his mouth.
No one heard the silent CRUNCH.
Then—
THUD.
A sound. Something falling.
Everyone froze.
Usopp looked toward the mansion. "Kaya?"
The young girl lay unconscious on the window ledge, too fragile to withstand the emotional shock.
Usopp jumped back in reflex. "KAYA!"
Nami covered her mouth. "OH NO!"
Zoro instinctively drew his sword. "What's going on?!"
Luffy stared, jaw dropped—literally, elastically—hanging all the way to the ground. "EHHHH?!"
Kuro followed their gazes, confused. "What? Why are you all—"
He looked down.
At Walter.
Who was staring at him with big innocent eyes.
His mouth covered in blood.
Chewing on something.
Kuro blinked. He raised his arm.
Or rather, what was left of it.
His hand was gone. Completely. Eaten down to the wrist. Blood had just begun to flow, the vessels cleanly severed.
He hadn't felt a thing.
Walter had eaten so fast—bite after bite after bite, thousands of micro-bites in a fraction of a second—that the pain receptors hadn't had time to transmit the signal to the brain.
Kuro stared at his stump.
Then at Walter.
Then back at his stump.
"M–MY HAND?!"
CRUNCH.
Walter swallowed the last piece.
Silence.
Then the scream.
"AAAAAAAAAHHHHH!"
Kuro dropped the rabbit and staggered backward, clutching his mutilated arm. "WHAT IS THAT THING?!"
Walter landed gracefully on the grass, licking his lips.
I stepped out of the bushes, arms wide open, a huge grin on my face.
"THAT'S A GOOD WALTER!"
Everyone turned toward me.
Luffy: "MARC?!"Nami: "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"Zoro: "…He knows the rabbit?"Usopp: "IT JUST ATE A HAND!"
I calmly walked over to Walter and picked him up like a baby. He practically purred, snuggling against my chest.
"Good boy. Very good boy."

Kuro collapsed to the ground, shock and blood loss catching up to him. "You… you knew… you KNEW what that thing would do!"
"Me?" I stroked Walter innocently. "How could I have known? He's just a cute little rabbit."
"HE ATE MY HAND!"
"Technically, that's your fault. You ripped him away from Kaya. He doesn't like aggression."
"LIAR!"
I shrugged. "Prove it."
Nami stared at me with a mix of horror and fascination. "Marc… what exactly is that rabbit?"
"SCP-524. Also known as Walter. An omnivorous rabbit that can eat anything. ANYTHING. Bone, metal, stone, flesh… nothing resists him."
"And you KNEW?!"
"I detected him a few minutes ago. I'll admit, though—I didn't think he'd eat a hand that fast."
[CONSUMPTION SPEED: 0.3 SECONDS][REMARKABLE EFFICIENCY]
Luffy stepped closer, eyes sparkling. "He's so cool! Can we keep him?!"
"No. He's coming with me."
"AWWW!"
Usopp, still on his branch, stared in disbelief. "You… you're all INSANE!"
Kuro tried to get up but collapsed again, his face turning pale. "I… I'm going to… kill you…"
"Good luck with one hand," I replied, petting Walter. "And by the way, you should get a tourniquet on that quickly. Blood loss is dangerous."
Zoro chuckled. "You're seriously twisted."
"Thanks."
