Chapter 2 - Ch 2 : Evil Arc

# đź“– Chapter 2: **Evil Arc **

Several years passed.

Rise was no longer a child.

At **nineteen years old**, his eyes had seen more darkness than most people see in a lifetime.

The boy who once chased a football had grown quiet, sharp, and distant.

The deal with the monster still followed him like a shadow.

His father continued working for the Hero Association.

Every day, Rise waited for him to come home safely.

That day… he didn't.

---

## The Knock on the Door

The house was silent when the knock came.

Rise opened the door to see **two men from the Hero Association**.

They wore serious faces, not angry, not sad—just empty.

One of them spoke calmly:

> "We're sorry. Your father… didn't return from his mission."

Rise didn't react at first.

> "What do you mean… didn't return?"

> he asked quietly.

The man avoided his eyes.

> "From today, you'll have to live on your own.

> You'll need to earn money and take care of yourself."

No comfort.

No explanation.

No body.

Just words.

The men turned and walked away.

---

## The Words That Changed Everything

Rise stood near the door, frozen.

As the two men walked away, they **lowered their voices**, thinking no one could hear them.

> "Good thing we got rid of him."

> "Yeah. If he had discovered our black money, everything would've been over."

Rise's breath stopped.

His hands started shaking.

> *Got rid of him…?*

The world around him felt unreal.

Heroes.

Murderers.

---

## The Awakening of Hatred

That night, Rise sat alone in the dark house.

No tears came.

Only anger.

His eyes burned.

Not yet glowing—but close.

> "So this is justice?"

> "So this is what heroes really are?"

The monster's voice echoed in his mind for the first time in years:

> "Power exists for moments like this."

Rise stood up.

> "Then I'll use it."

---

## Revenge Begins

Rise followed the two men silently over the next few days.

He didn't rush.

He didn't hesitate.

And he killed both

## A New Path

Rise stood alone afterward, staring at the city lights.

He didn't feel happiness.

He didn't feel relief.

Only certainty.

> "Heroes protect the system."

> "I'll destroy it."

From that night on, Rise stopped believing in heroes.
